Third Wave Coffee

Rating: 4.8 (164) Price Level:

Protect these guys at all costs. Very glad to have a new great local coffee shop and bakery. Decent local roast coffee, and their fresh cinnamon buns are stunning as you can actually taste it and are not packed with sugar which is amazing. Totally lives up to the hype in the area, heard of them from a friend and decided to pop over to try their coffee.

My daughter and I love Third Wave Coffee and it has become our Saturday ritual to pop in for coffee and cake whenever we can. The pastries and cakes are amazing with lots of different options to try. We went before Christmas and I had the best sausage roll i've ever tasted- baked by Roni i believe. The coffee is great too. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and lovely- LA especially. Our favourite cafe in Rochester...

Hands down the best cafe in Rochester! The coffee is consistently delicious, the sandwiches are amazing and the cakes are to die for! L.A. who served me was so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about all the amazing food she creates. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming with thoughtful little touches such as a “help yourself” water station. If you are looking for a consistently excellent cafe with reasonable prices and lovely staff, I can’t recommend Third Wave enough!

Beantown offers what these high street coffee chains simply don’t, very warm and welcoming service. The desserts and cannolis are something I would highly recommend. The coffees are very good and the menu consists of a variety of starters and main dishes. All in all, highly recommend.

I was blown away with my order from Beantown! The staff were lovely and helpful when ordering. I had ordered once online which was great but my load fries were much more than I expected. I also had a lovely vanilla chai iced latte. My girlfriend’s American breakfast also looked amazing and her hot chocolate was top-notch. I would recommend and will be making another visit again hopefully to also get some cannoli and arancini which I’m sure will be amazing as was my pistachio croissant I had.

JAW Electrics recently did a complete rewire of my house and garage. Jamie and his team were reliable, professional, and very efficient in getting the job done. They also added a few extras that I hadn't thought of, and were very helpful with choosing lighting etc. They were very tidy and respectful of my property even though it was a complete tip when they arrived, and it was actually a pleasure to have them working in my house. I would use JAW Electrics for any future electrical work and I highly recommend them.

Very friendly and attentive staff, great menu selection. We had some tapas, with good size portions. We had 4 plates plus some bread and that was plenty for a Sunday lunch. Myself and Editorial Consultant reviewed The Ole Rochester on Sunday 7th July. We were pleasantly surprised at the ambience and decor of the restaurant. It was a nice bright, open space and had such a welcoming feel. Ole Rochester, is a beautiful Spanish eatery in the heart of Rochester, nestled within the quirky retail ambience of the High Street. The setting is a magnificent atmospheric restaurant, with vibrant murals spanning the huge walls.  Upbeat music adds to the vibe, echoing its Spanish roots. The service was impeccable and high-level without being intrusive. We ordered the Olives, Bread, and Manchego to start a generous platter furnished with  fine garnishing detail. This set the palate for two mains of Sea Bass, Agave sauce, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and the Seafood Paella. Dishes were plentiful and exquisitely presented. The Sea Bass fillets had a delicious crunchy outer, and the sea of vegetables and potatoes was delicious and complemented the delicate flavor of the fish. The Seafood Paella was very filling, delicious, and a generous portion. It could easily be for two people.  This was  downed by a delicious glass of The Ole Rochester's original Sangria.  We were pleasantly too full to attempt desert, however, we made the decision that we would definitely be back again, and this time we would make room for desert. Overall a truly fabulous experience in a characterful, dynamic setting.

Welcoming and accommodating staff. Had to reschedule our appointment for 9 people with ease! Welcomed with a smile! Ordered two jumbos where the meat was tasty and had the charcoal flavour! The ribs were my favourite salted and flavoursome. Love it! Accompanied the mains with a Turkish tea The Kanefa desert was simple Amazing! Freshly made and flavours were well balanced and not too sweet. Wanted to try the Bakalava but they ran out unfortunately, will have to come back to try them. I have to mention the place is well decorated and right by the river for a peaceful touch! Thank you and will be back again!

Rochester RC Cafe is situated inside an RC store but don’t let that detour you from stopping in for the best coffee, tea and sweets, a variety of sandwiches , soup or pasta bowls. The staff are so friendly and it seems the community is enjoying the new cafe as a great go to for a coffee or bite to eat.

Totally in love with the new Cafe at Rochester RC based at Rochester Airport. It is light years ahead of the former cafe onsite, offering a wide range of healthy foods and drinks along with a cheeky slice of cake!! The tea is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive. The whole place is immaculate, the staff are warm and welcoming and it has a real family friendly feel. I will certainly be returning.

The Cheese Room Botanicals

60 High St, The Precinct, Rochester ME1 1JY, UK | Restaurant
P: 01634 845270

Rating: 4.6 (473) Price Level:

Right next to the castle in a 16th century building, I couldn't fault the food at a very reasonable price. There inside and outside seating and booking inside is recommended. I had a sour bread toasty and shared some triple cooked chips. Both food and setting are first rate.

Went here for lunch with my boyfriend and it is a beautiful quaint place to eat with a very lovely atmosphere. The food was good and the cheese platter we had was nice. The service was also good and the staff were pleasant. Would recommend for a different place to eat in the lovely town of Rochester.

Being a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large. The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry. The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

First time visiting The Cheese Room and it did not disappoint. The menu was a set one 2 course £27 or 3 courses for £34. You could also choose toasted sandwiches and lighter lunches. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to settle down and browse the menu without being interrupted. We had the 2 courses and had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding and amazing potaotes, veg was carrots, parsnip, beetroot and squash all roasted. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is £6 for 2 people. It was lovely to have cauliflower that was cooked and not raw. The pudding we had was out of this world and couldn't fault anything, we had the cheesecake. It was more on the expensive side than i would usually pay, but it was so worth it. Service charge of 10% is automatically added and this is advertised on their website. Was a lovely experience but would recommend booking.

Visited on a Sunday for my Daughter’s birthday and had a great time . Large selection on the menu including non cheese . I had British Cheese board , my daughter continental board , Mrs C Camembert and youngest Fish & Chips with some sides was an excellent start. Very extensive drinks menu and we finished with dessert and I have to say the Sticky Toffee pudding was the best I had . For 5 of us including service £180. Staff very friendly and attentive and would definitely visit again .
