Came across this lovely little café this morning and stopped in for some lunch. Firstly, the staff were phenomenal, some of the most pleasant and welcoming ladies a true blessing to be around! The atmosphere was warm and cosy despite being a popular café it didn't feel crowded. Most importantly the food was delicious, I have a diary allergy and went safe with their vegan all day breakfast which is now going to be a regular for me, was some of the tastiest vegan food I've had. My mother-in-law whom is one of the fussiest eaters I've ever known practically licked her plate after her eggs Benedict (Its rare I've ever seen this women finish a meal in the 14 years I've known her, even her own cooking lol). My 3 year old would highly recommend her baby chino, made to the perfect temp which is not easy! All in all we feel like we've found the gem of a café and I couldn't help but share so that others can enjoy too. Highly recommend ⭐

We decided to spend a day out at Herne Bay and came across this place whilst looking somewhere to have lunch. On first impression, the Café has a calming and cosy atmosphere. Love the colour and décor of the café. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Always a bonus and makes the experience more pleasant. I ordered a crab and cheese toastie with chips and salad and my husband had cod fish and chips. Nice portion size and the food was tasty and quite delightful. Homemade chips, it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my toastie, it was delicious. Lovely bright colours in the salad, appealing to the eye. A mix of peppers, mixed leaves, cucumber and tomatoes, nice texture, a bit of crunch and simply yum! The batter was beautifully cooked. Not too heavy nor thick. A nice thin crispy crunchy batter and it did not retained too much oil after frying. The fish was not over cooked, succulent, juicy and cooked to perfection. The cappuccino was beautifully made. Nice hot milk, just how I like it. Makes a nice change from using very cold milk leaving the coffee luke warm. there is one toilet room available for customers to use. Also have changing station that cater for parent and baby. The facility is kept nice and clean. Always a bonus. Overall, a rather enjoyable and delightful experience. Thank you Salt and Light.

This place is a lovely little cafe. The staff were lovely, the food was great and the decor was really nice. Quite a funky little find, I would definitely go back. They are also opening on Friday & Saturday nights soon so that would be cool.

Open 2 evenings a week. We visited on a Friday evening. An interesting menu. I was tempted by the venison cottage pie but had mackerel with a mango sauce, very tasty.
I couldn't resist a dessert - deep fried bread and butter pudding! Amazing!
