A gourmet feast to tantalise the taste buds which doesnt break the bank. Attended the Gourmet Night with Paul and Ali Leary and it exceeded expectations, overall nobody in my party had a bad word to say. The food was brilliant and well presented, all five courses really hit the spot but for me the two stand out dishes were the starter of duck and the main of beef. Will definitely be looking to attend another of these events in the future.

Lingdale Golf Club, nestled in the picturesque Charnwood Forest, offers a memorable golfing experience. The course's design is both challenging and engaging, with the front nine featuring undulating terrain and tree-lined fairways that require strategic play. The back nine presents elevation changes and well-placed hazards, keeping golfers on their toes throughout the round. While the club's secluded location provides a tranquil setting, it does come with the drawback of limited mobile phone reception. This can be a minor inconvenience for those needing to stay connected. On the plus side, the clubhouse serves excellent food, making it a great spot to relax after a round. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, Lingdale Golf Club is a delightful course that offers a unique and enjoyable round of golf. Its thoughtful design and quality amenities make it well worth a visit.

Lovely course. Variety of holes with up and down, left and right turns. Not too many bunkers which I liked Mostly a even course (left-right) although a couple of holes with some lean on them Well maintained course, especially given the current wet conditions. Great views and wonderful lighting across the course, nice trail through trees too

Rating: 4.6 (194) Price Level:
Went to Cosby to see the yarn bomb, a lot of hard work has gone into the displays, well laid out. Can be seen any time of the day as it's outside and free, but if you want a map it costs £2 from selected places, so you will need to go in the day.

We hired out the main room/bar area to celebrate a 60th birthday. We couldn't fault the buffet that was put on for us, quality food, hot and plentiful. Everyone complimented how lovely the food was. The service was great. The staff, particularly Will, who was in charge of all aspects couldn't do enough to ensure our experience was a special one. We would definitely recommend this venue. Thank you for making the occasion a memorable one.

A great challenge 👏 Stunning condition

I’ve been having lessons with the club Pro, Darren Jones. I’ve had several over the last year. Darren has a way of breaking down the complexities of a golf swing into easy to digest chunks. The front and side view cameras are utilised to show slow motion footage of your swing vs how a tour pro would hit the same shot. Notes are emailed promptly to give you something to take away and read through to keep the lesson fresh to practise at the range. Every time I’ve had a lesson I’ve walked out confident that I have the knowledge to be able to work on improving my game. Today for the first time I used the club house which I thought was for members only. I had lunch and a couple of drinks. The food was great, friendly service, surprisingly reasonably priced as well. Also Madri. The range is good and I use this more than once a week. Plenty of space, individual bays, £6 for 100 balls as a non member. Could do with some yardage markers closer to the mats though to help with wedges and short irons. There are markers 200, 250 and 300 but my eye sight doesn’t go that far. Neither do my golf shots.

The Market Harborough Golf Club
Great Oxendon, Road, Market Harborough LE16 8NB, UK | Sports Club P: 01858 463684
Rating: 4.6 (190) Price Level:
Well maintained and well looked after golf course. The holes are not too hard nice open approaches on the fairway. A few long holes to test you and the par 3's are a challenge as they are very short and they make you think twice about club selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and beer is great too.

Played August 2023, tree lined course that is fairly hilly. Generous fairways and greens small and sloped. Very nice course and well worth a visit.

I went to the races at Leicester last week , it's a friendly course , with good competitive racing . The new refurbished cafe offered an excellent new menu , the panini's were particular delicious 😋. Had a very good afternoon out even though my small wagers seemed to keep coming second 😞 . But will be back again soon .

A great driving range, probably the best one in Leicester and at a great location not too far out of the centre of the city. The driving range is suitable for both right and left handed people which is good, some ranges do not take this into consideration.

Kirby Muxloe Golf Club
Station Rd, Kirby Muxloe, Leicester LE9 2EL, UK | Sports Club P: 0116 239 3107
Rating: 4.6 (198) Price Level:
Course was in great condition. Greens very quick. Food was lovely, nothing to moan about. Green-Keepers have done a great job - very tidy.
Rating: 4 / 5
Have played there twice; Kirby Muxloe Golf Club is a fantastic choice for golfers who appreciate a well-designed parkland course. The layout is thoughtfully planned, with a mix of challenging and rewarding holes that make each round interesting and engaging. The fairways and greens are typically in excellent condition, showing the care and effort put in by the maintenance team, and the scenery around the course really adds to the experience. The clubhouse is inviting and well-run, with friendly staff and a solid selection of food and drink. It’s a great spot to unwind after a game, and there’s a welcoming, community feel to the place that makes both members and guests feel right at home. However, a big drawback is how muggy and waterlogged the course gets after rain. Even with a bit of rainfall, you can expect some areas to be quite boggy, and it doesn’t drain as well as it could. In certain spots, you’ll find the ground quite soft, which can affect the quality of play and make getting around a bit of a slog. If you’re playing after any significant rain, be prepared for some muddy patches and slower conditions. Overall, Kirby Muxloe Golf Club is a lovely place to play, but just be mindful that after rain, the course can feel very boggy. Despite this, it’s still worth visiting for the quality of the layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly clubhouse atmosphere.

Sunday day out, excellent choice, extremely helpful and friendly professional staff (Bruce). Sausage and onion cob before playing set the mood of the day, great decision by playing partners. Seriously the tees and greens were in excellent condition, fairways have recovered very well from the hot weather we've had this year, well done greens staff.
