The Greedy Seagull

Delicious and plentiful food. My family of four came here and we shared 3 starters consisting of calamari, octopus and garlic prawns. All were delicious but my favourite was the garlic prawns. For our mains we had the paella, burger, mixed grill, vegetable tagine and scallops. All were amazing. But very filling, so I would recommend coming here on a an empty stomach. The staff were all very friendly and kind, especially the owner, Sukanya, she'll make sure that your dining experience is one of the finest. All together a fantastic experience.

Wow. Everything about this place is amazing. So glad we chose to eat here on our last night in Weymouth. The food was outstanding and so were the hosts. The flavours of the food were delicious. We will definitely come back here. Chef is fabulous, as are the hosts, and the atmosphere made us feel like we could stay for hours, a lovely, family run venue with 5 star food and generosity. Thank you Greedy Seagull. Best meal I've had in a long time and a great way to end our holiday. Back to Portsmouth we go đȘ X

Lovely inside, and the service was impeccable! Me and my partner both ordered the mussels and they came in a huge frying pan! Absolutely delicious! And the octopus special for starter was beautiful as well! Very pleased we gave it a go

Very tasty brunch! âïžâïžâïžâïžâïžThe iced coffee was lovely too. It was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, but the staff was so lovely and we didnât have to wait too long. Highly recommend this place! It's my new go-to spot whenever Iâm visiting Weymouth and fancy a brekkie or brunch! I will definitely try lunch next time. We also got seats outside, which was very nice. The meat sausages and bacon were fresh, and everything was top standard.

We went to Custom House Cafe for a lovely breakfast this morning. The full English was good and my husband was very happy. I had smashed avocado with poached eggs on toasts. It was delicious too. The coffees were nice and we were early (9ish in the morning) so there werenât much traffic on the road while we were sat outside. We got to enjoy to lovely view across the other side of the harbour.

This is our go to place for deliâs food, hot drinks and ice cream in the summer. Opted for the âwinter warmerâ, Hot Turkey Baguette with a side dish of frittata fries. Homemade coleslaw accompanied the warm and moist baguette that was totally delicious. It was a filling meal and the americano hot drink was also accompanied with a homemade star shaped ginger biscuit. Service was excellent and the staff are always very polite. This is also a dog friendly cafe.

By far one of the best breakfast Iâve had in ages, really lovely little find, good value for money and lovely and clean, like the fact you order and pay at the counter. Lovely views of the harbour. Would suggest booking as it gets busy.

Popped in on passing for lunch. Nice clean & airy establishment. Service was friendly & efficient. Everything looked reasonably priced. We chose to have a selection toasted sandwiches between the four of us. All arrived at the same time and were piping hot. Three coffees, a pint of blackcurrant juice, four toasted sandwiches (one with chips) & a ham sandwich ÂŁ43. Everyone was more than pleased.

A gem đ amazing breakfast. Lovely and clean. Really friendly staff. Visited two days in a row as was so good. I had the mini breakfast and hubby had scrambled eggs on fried bread. Both were amazing. Def recommend. Good mix of locals and visitors all made very welcome

A real traddional cafe with some lovely home cooked food. Great for a spot of lunch.. Always busy for the breakfast with few tables free until after 12.30. But definitely worth the wait. Jacket potatoes with filling are massive portions, really enough for dinner. Recommend the Indian chicken and mushroom for lovely savoury spicy kick. Or plum for freshly cooky breakfast with all the trimmings. You can't go wrong. All service delivered with a smile, and a little banter.

Had a fantastic lunch here today, i had the Cornish jacket potato (jacket potato with 3 thick rashers of bacon and 2 pieces of brie), with a salad garnish and a large latte, good quality, reasonably priced, smiley friendly helpful staff, what more could you want!

A fantastic place, the ladies are very friendly and the cooking is top draw. Nothing too much for them, even when I got wet, they hung up my coat to dry. The atmosphere is great for writing. Mind you I am an early riser, so it normally only has regulars.

Now this place is a little secret gem of a place. Brilliant service with a smile and giggles. Well cooked and fresh and very well priced food that caters for most people's taste and diet. Also a very very well presented and very clean cafe. I will no longer be going to the William Henry Wetherspoon's just round the corner from this place any more for my cooked breakfast. I can't recommend the place enough đȘ

Lovely staff, clean cafe with a great menu. I'm gluten free and was impressed with the variety of food available to choose from - all cooked separately to avoid cross contamination. Good price and food delicious. We had breakfast here two days in a row and was great both days. Will come here again next time we visit Weymouth

Sea Beats

Had a nice experience.. The food was lovely and well-priced, great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We had one night in Weymouth and luckily chose this place. From the initial email exchange to payment everything was bang on. Great seating outside on one of the warmest days of the year, a shared crab pate to start followed by two perfect fish dishes, skate wing and a pan fried bass, followed by a superb crÚme brûlée. Great beer and wine and a great decor. Pretty much perfect. All at a very fair price. Oh and I nearly forgot the samphire, like all the vegetables cooked to perfection.
Rating: 5 / 5
We went on 23.11.24 to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great choiceâs on the fixed menu and the food was superb, we couldnât manage the dessert but we made our selection and it was boxed for us to take out. The drinks options were fantastic, including Estrella on draught, and a great selection of wines. If youâre in the area, I highly recommend Sea Beats.
Rating: 5 / 5
Our second visit in as many summers. The scallops were divine, the sea bass superb and the cod outstanding. The chowder soup was good too with the accompanying bread pieces. No wonder they were the Best Seafood Establishment of the year for South in 2019 and 2022! We are looking at a third visit when we are in the Dorset area in the future.

Hall's Kitchen
46 St Mary St, Weymouth DT4 8PU, UK | Restaurant P: 01305 839839
Rating: 4.7 (150) Price Level:
We booked here based on reviews, as we were on a weekend break to Weymouth. The reviews certainly reflected the experience we had, which was a great one! We mentioned to our Airbnb host that we'd booked here and she told us it was a popular place with the locals, which is always a good sign. Our waitress was funny, engaged and gave great service. That is really important as it's an intimate restaurant, so you want to feel relaxed. The waitress was great at giving recommendations. The menu had a great selection of seafood and meat dishes. The food we had was great quality and nicely presented. If you're looking for somewhere that serves tasty, fresh and wholesome food and you're willing to pay a bit more for it then this is the place for you. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, feels warm and cosy on an Autumn evening. Great experience, delicious food and a nice vibe! 10/10

Food was 10/10. I ordered the lamb and every mouthful was different. So many flavours and a very well thought out dish. 1000% would recommend. Our waitress was very attentive, smiley and friendly. We hope to be going back soon.

âââââ What an incredible experience at Halls Kitchen! We hosted our Coffee Jazz Christmas party here, and everything was absolutely perfect. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable service, it was a night to remember. The food was outstandingâfresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highlights included the smoked salmon, charcuterie board, and the heavenly brownie berry dessert with ice cream. The team at Halls Kitchen went above and beyond to make the evening magical, and it truly felt like celebrating with family. Thank you for such an unforgettable night! We canât wait to visit again soon. Highly recommend!

Stunning!! The food and service this evening was absolutely incredible, Iâve never had lamb so good (recommended by the most lovely staff) First time eating at Halls kitchen and we will definitely be back! Absolutely has made our last minute weekend away perfect. Canât recommend enough! Please leave reviews and show your support to these incredible independent businesses. One of the best meals weâve had in a very long time! X

A little bit of finery in the heart of Weymouth. Absolutely beautiful food, expertly cooked to perfection. We had the fillet steak which melted on your tongue and the panache of seafood in saffron sauce which was packed with flavour complimenting the delicate nature of the variety of fish. A Dorset selection of cheeses and the best chilli jam I've ever tasted. Fine wine, relaxed informal chats with the attentive waiting staff made for a fantastic evening. Not overly priced and would absolutely recommend.

Dorset Extensions Group & Dorset Extensions Electrical
unit 5, 15 Jubilee Cl, Weymouth DT4 7BS, UK | Electrician P: 01305 310310
Rating: 4.7 (25) Price Level:
Well what can we say about Michael and the team!! From day 1 we were impressed with his enthusiasm and professionalism. Everything we asked for (including some great ideas from Michael) has been executed perfectly, on budget and well within time. Our work required a range of different contractors which Michael was able to arrange seamlessly with no stress involved on our part. They were ready to take on any task required all of which have been accomplished to the highest standard. We highly recommend this company.
Rating: 5 / 5
So I wanted to treat myself to a new kitchen and hallway upgrade & had lots of quotes. Dorset Extensions came to my property and talked me through the whole process and explained why my kitchen would be out of bounds for a few days and left me with full understanding as to why. The whole design process and installation was a doddle and could not be happier with the results. Would highly recommend
Rating: 5 / 5
I have used Dorset Extensions to remove our old drive and replace it with block paving. I am extremely pleased with the result, Michael was very helpful as to how to proceed. His workers were great and would recommend this company for a good job done.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had Dorset Extensions do an extension for myself, and from start to finish they kept me updated from next step, to options of ways I could save a little extra, was happy with everything, even so I'm having another little extension done by them again đ

Sandsfoot Cafe
Old Castle Rd, Weymouth DT4 8QE, UK | Cafe P: Not available
Rating: 4.7 (358) Price Level:
This is a lovely place to have an ice cream cold drink tea or coffee. If you are exploring the Weymouth to Portland cycle path built on the old railway line, look out for the sign post to Sandfoot Castle and within a couple of minutes you will find this. We didn't check what other food or snacks were available today. If you want a great view of Portland Harbour and Sandsfoot Castle its worth a call in. Plenty of room for cyclists and walkers. Toilets at the side of the cafe too.
Rating: 4 / 5
I purchased a vegan sausage roll ÂŁ2.50 and vegan vegetable pasty ÂŁ4.40. Both were warm and the pastry was lovely. Also had a tub of vegan chocolate and raspberry icecream. The pot was very small. Seating outside cafe plus a toilet. Lovely garden and sea views and more seating in the garden. No car park you have to park along road.

Tremendous scone. See photo. Crispy sugar topped fruit scone filled with strawberries, strawberry jam and clotted cream. Great gardens and view, we sat for ages. See photos

A lovely place to relax with a nice coffee. It's a tranquil spot with lovely views across the bay to Portland and Chesil beach. The castle gardens are lovely, very well attended and pretty, the old castle is closed off but still makes for a good photo opportunity.

Amazing service from as soon as we walked in the door. The bubbly was delivered for my partners bithday. We were told who our server would be and he couldnt have been any more helpful. He was great with food and sauce choices. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will definetly be returning in the future.

Absolutely incredible! The freshest and yummiest seafood ever. Tried their cattlefish, Dover sole, Portland oysters, and haddock and hake fish and chips đŠȘđ 3 days in a row! Loved it so much.
Rating: 4 / 5
We visited for a little lunch on a quiet weekday. We tried the starter scallops and both had the set menu, tempura prawn and lemon sole. Very delicious, really nice food, great atmosphere. Only complaint, I think the lemon sole should come with a tartare sauce or some sort of sauce on the side, not an additional price. It could do with something extra. I do think this restaurant is quite expensive, but I would still go for a treat. The tempura prawns were beautiful , not oily at all and the scallops were absolutely perfect. Really delicious.

Myself and my partner decided to come here as we love see food. We arrived and was immediately approached by a server to offer a table. She was lovely and friendly. I explained I was gluten intolerant and she explained they are affiliated with the coeliac society and every dish could be adapted to gluten free. We were then seated and it was what I can only describe as an impeccable service.the servers were very attentive with attention to detail. The food arrived and it was delicious and hot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood đ

Weymouth Bay Coffee Co

Rating: 4.7 (71) Price Level:
Lovely cafe, always welcoming and go above and beyond. They opened up especially for our running group to have a celebration for our C25K Group Graduation. Food is delicious, drinks etc staff are polite welcoming well worth a visit.
Rating: 5 / 5
Warm and inviting little cafe with great gluten free and vegan/dairy free options for me and my toddler. They had a little table and toys in the corner which kept my 3yo busy while the food came and cooled too. As a coeliac, it was great to hear they had a separate fryer so I could have the chips too!
Rating: 5 / 5
We recently visited Weymouth Bay Coffee Co and was thoroughly impressed. The food and drinks are delicious, with standout items like oat milk lattes, giant crunchie bar milkshakes, rainbow cake, breakfast wrap and hearty lounge-style breakfasts. The cafĂ© is conveniently situated at the back of the Premier Inn hotel and across from the Sea Life Centre, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast. If youâre looking for a dog-friendly, child-friendly cafĂ©, this is the place to go. I highly recommend Weymouth Bay Coffee Co for anyone in the area, Itâs a lovely place to enjoy great food and drinks.
Rating: 4 / 5
This is a lovely little cafe situated at Lodmoor next to the Premier Inn. It is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, tables are always cleared and cleaned promptly after people leave. Been a few times, however only ever for breakfast so not able to comment on other food they serve. The breakfastâs are always cooked well, served hot and in good time and always tastes really nice. They set you up for the day and never leave you feeling like you need more food. Only real downside is that it can get noisy in there, especially when there are lots of children in or groups of blokes on a party weekend staying in the hotel next door. So pick your times to visit if that puts you off. Overall, lovely cafe thatâs clean, friendly and does a good breakfast.

Delicious. 3 of us ate before visiting Sandworld and the food festival. Not what I was expecting at all. Eggs were cooked to perfection, runny yolk is always a winner. Wanted to come again on the Monday but they weren't open in time.
