Very tasty brunch! âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸The iced coffee was lovely too. It was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, but the staff was so lovely and we didnât have to wait too long. Highly recommend this place! It's my new go-to spot whenever Iâm visiting Weymouth and fancy a brekkie or brunch! I will definitely try lunch next time. We also got seats outside, which was very nice. The meat sausages and bacon were fresh, and everything was top standard.

We went to Custom House Cafe for a lovely breakfast this morning. The full English was good and my husband was very happy. I had smashed avocado with poached eggs on toasts. It was delicious too. The coffees were nice and we were early (9ish in the morning) so there werenât much traffic on the road while we were sat outside. We got to enjoy to lovely view across the other side of the harbour.
Rating: 5 / 5
By far one of the best breakfast Iâve had in ages, really lovely little find, good value for money and lovely and clean, like the fact you order and pay at the counter. Lovely views of the harbour. Would suggest booking as it gets busy.

This is our go to place for deliâs food, hot drinks and ice cream in the summer. Opted for the âwinter warmerâ, Hot Turkey Baguette with a side dish of frittata fries. Homemade coleslaw accompanied the warm and moist baguette that was totally delicious. It was a filling meal and the americano hot drink was also accompanied with a homemade star shaped ginger biscuit. Service was excellent and the staff are always very polite. This is also a dog friendly cafe.

The Black Dog
Black Dog Inn, 50 Main St, Broadmayne, Dorchester DT2 8ES, UK | Inn P: 01305 854021
Rating: 4.6 (627) Price Level:
I was staying close by at a holiday park, and searched for somewhere kid friendly to eat for dinner. The Black Dog is a lovely pub, which is warm and inviting on the inside, with a lovely playground and seating outside. Food was absolutely delicious! Was the best lamb chop dinner I've had in a long time! Everyone enjoyed their dinner and puddings, so much so we've added this place to our favourite's list! Very kid and dog friendly! We will definitely be back again!
Rating: 5 / 5
Staying at a local holiday park and after a quick google search for dinner recommendations, we decided to book a table at the black dog! Food was lovely, I had the green curry which was delicious and my husband had the gammon which he also enjoyed. Kids loved their dishes and after coming from Surrey the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely return.
Rating: 5 / 5
Dropped into the Black Dog for dinner for the first time in nearly 20 years. A fondly remembered pub delivered to the moment, well kept and served beers, but it was the food that blew me away. Went for the venison, black pudding and melted stilton burger off the specials board, wow! Seasonal menu and table decorations, nice touches all around, highly recomended. Whilst the venison burger becomes a must for me, great food selection, right across the board.

Such friendly staff. Found us a table for 4 adults a baby and 2 dogs at very short notice. The food was amazing and great value for money. Would definitely recommend booking as it was very busy, but the service was spot on.

The King's Arms
30 High E St, Dorchester DT1 1HF, UK | Hotel P: 01305 238238
Rating: 4.6 (447) Price Level:
Best place to have a few Christmas pints with friends. Very cosy seating areas with sofas next to the fire place. Reasonably priced beer (ÂŁ4.80 ish) for a pint of Butcombe, very good quality / price!
Rating: 4 / 5
Christmas meal. The portions of vegetables were mean, but the presentation and food were good. There was a weird bit with the bill but the on duty staff were very good.
Rating: 5 / 5
I dont leave many reviews for things; but have been meaning to write this one for a while. Came for a Sunday roast a few weeks ago and can honestly say it was one of the nicest roasts I've ever had. We chose the Kings Arms after previously visiting a sister hotel in Shaftesbury and very much enjoying our meal there. The service was excellent, with attentive but not overbearing staff, the food is delicious and the portion sizes were great. The prices arent cheap, but i felt that i got an experience that justified the price charged. Would thoroughly recommend.

If you are looking for a change from the usual humdrum Prem Inn Travelodge that seem to be taking over most town centres then this exquisette steeped in history creaky floored no room the same Hotel is for you. Refurbished to an excellent standard whilst retaining the period features. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the 2 receptionists we met to the lady running the restaurant to the bar person to the excellent chef we really couldn't fault it. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast the next morning cooked to order much nicer than buffet style hot foods from above mentioned hotels. Thank you to all the staff we met who couldn't do enough for us and really topped off an excellent stay.
Rating: 5 / 5
(We didn't stay - merely went for a celebration meal.) The food was really excellent, the service friendly and efficient, and the hotel's restoration after its long period of disuse could not be more sensitive. The bar and restaurant areas are simply beautiful!

Only ate, didnât stay. A fantastic location in a lovely village. There were 15 of us; the food was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be eating at The New Inn again.

We didn't stay at the New Inn, but we did have a large family Christmas lunch. The food was delicious; the service was fun, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was lovely. Everyone has commented on how special the afternoon was and will return. I've already recommended The New Inn to folks and will continue to do so. If you get the chance to visit, GO!

Came here for a lunch meal as a surprise birthday party, and can't praise the restaurant enough. The food was lovely, and they managed a large group very well. I've been to other places before as a large group and it has been a disaster, so it was really nice to see how well this place handled the 23 of us. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be back more often!

Pub dinner- Just returned from the new inn pub. First visit, but not our last for sure. 3 x diners all left very pleased with the venue, great staff, and excellent menu. We had Angus burger and lamb burger, and we all enjoyed them. Very tasty and filling. Thank you.

We went for lunch as a party of 6. We had pre booked because it was the Christmas season. We were greeted by a very friendly member of the team. Shown to our table, allowed to settle, then had our drinks order taken and then shortly after that we had our meal order's taken by another charming team member. We didn't have to wait very long until all of our food was brought to the table. We had a gluten free option, a vegetarian option and 4 meals and starters off the Special menu. Every meal was beautifully cooked and presented. We had a really lovely time and will definitely be returning in the near future.

CĂ´te Dorchester

Rating: 4.5 (626) Price Level:
Went for dinner and the food was fantastic! The staff were so lovely & attentive. They catered to my allergies (shellfish) really well, making notes for everything and making sure it was labelled with a little flag. It wasn't too busy when we went in, but as a very anxious person i quite liked that. Would recommend to anyone and looking to go back for my birthday next month!
Rating: 5 / 5
Staff were lovely, particularly the manager guy, with the glasses! Food great and not as expensive as I thought it would be. Very impressed.
Rating: 5 / 5
I'm a tad bias to this establishment as I love the food and atmosphere here. Although it's a chain restaurant , i still feel like an individual as a customer. The staff treat you really well and give you a personal experience. The menu pricing is at the higher end of the market but as a treat, I think it's worth it. For those on a tighter budget, they offer a set meal menu before 7pm. The morning breakfast menu is also quite good. The reason I pay a little more to eat here is because I feel satisfied with my entire dining experience. I'm not a fan of the 10% gratuity that's automatically added to your bill. I feel the customer should decide what the service is worth, not the company.
Rating: 5 / 5
We were felt to be made very welcome and special by all the staff. The menu we chose was the set vegetarian which was explained to us in great detail. We were amazed at the choice and quality of the food.
Rating: 4 / 5
A very lovely dinner, mussels were good & plenty of them. Had the cafe gourmand for dessert & that was nice. Service was good though a little slow on taking our order & when we wanted to settle up. They also gave us the wrong coffee & wrong dessert but quickly rectified the error. Itâs not wow but lovely traditional French cuisine.

Bonjour

Rating: 4.7 (124) Price Level:
Lovely lil cafe. Had an Americano and a flapjack to go from here. Emily and John were on shift I must say both were very welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. Was a pleasure to meet you both will visit again soon. I really dislike coming into poundbury (was there because of work) but these lovely humans made my day. Thank you so much.
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing customer service, very reasonably priced. It's a cafe you come away thinking "that was amazing" rather than "that was ok" Thank you very much! Will come back â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Rating: 5 / 5
Stopped at this lovely cafe on the way to Cornwall and it was so good we stopped there again on the way back. Emily and John are friendly and the food tasty with generous portions. We thoroughly recommend. Keith and Serena.

A ârare findâ as AirBnB often says! An old school cafe, with personal service at reasonable/fair prices. Itâs not often that you can buy an Americano for ÂŁ2.20 these days! And their menu has a wide range of sandwiches and/or toasties. Nothing fancy, but great value and a friendly welcome.

Absolutely adorable little cafe with the sweetest service, great prices and really yummy food! Forgot to take a picture of my BLT but my partner had mushrooms, eggs and avocado on toast and we both loved every bite! Will definitely be back :)
Rating: 4 / 5
Friendly accommodating staff were good about my girlfriend's allergies and swapping ingredients round. The food was also good and tasty. Only gripe was the full breakfast coming with only one slice of toast which wasn't anywhere near enough to soak up all the breakfast goodies - surely 2 slices a minimum! Offering breakfast with a hot drink like some places do would have definitely got 5 stars. Would go again.

Seven Stars
Seven Stars Inn, Wool, Moreton, Dorchester DT2 8RL, UK | Bar P: 01929 462292
Rating: 4.6 (203) Price Level:
It was amazing. The dinner was really yummy. Huge portion, we had the steal & ale pie with chips and veggies. The meat was sooo tender, juicy and full of flavour. We stayed for one night in the little rooms they have in their fields. Very cozy and cute. Clean toilets and the shower was working really well. A nice warm bath after a hike to the beach. Breakfast was included, a nice english breakfast. I loved the sausages, very flavourfull. We had some tea or a coffee plus the Orange juice. I asked the staff if we could feed the pigs some apples that were in the floor and she said yes, very cute piggies! The staff is very kind and helpfull.

I recently visited the Seven Stars Inn, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The staff and their service were outstanding, making me feel truly welcomed with their warmth and attentiveness. I ordered a chicken curry meal, chips, and wings as a takeaway, and as an Indian, I was amazed by the flavorsâit was so delicious that I almost fell in love with the food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing hospitality paired with excellent cuisine!
Rating: 5 / 5
What a wonderful experience visiting the Seven Stars Inn Wool, Moreton, Dorchester restaurant. The food was first class cooked with love and care by a really good head chef and his brigade. Couldn't fault the food in any way what so ever good flavours, textures and presented very well. A really great dining experience which I will remember for a long time. The front of house staff very very friendly, professional providing a great service to compliment the kitchen Definitely worthy of a 5 star review and I would definitely recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant and I hope I will be back here myself.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very good food, value for money, traditional pub, log fire , a bit out of the way but worth the visit
Rating: 5 / 5
Very fresh selection of seafood. Generous portions too. Had the white bait, the cod fish and chips as well as the mussels. Very impressed by the freshness and quality. Batter for the cod is very light and crisp. The cod was delicious and had the right texture, and ratio of cod:batter. The black mussels were very sweet and I enjoyed it very much when paired with fresh bread. Service was very organised. All in all a great experience and Iâd definitely bring my friends here when we drive down to the south coast again.

The Lulworth Cove Inn
Main Rd, Main Rd, Wareham BH20 5RQ, UK | Restaurant P: 01929 400333
Rating: 4.3 (1879) Price Level:
Among the best inns I've ever visited. The room was perfectly prepared and we were lucky to have a room with a view on the cove. The complimentary breakfast was incredible. In addition to a bountiful buffet they offer (multiple) warm meals which are all amazing in and of themselves. The service leaves nothing to be desired whatsoever. The interior is charming; there are sundry memorabilia to do with the cove and the place; some of them a good 70 years old. We definitely enjoyed this historic insight. hope I get the chance to come here again sometime.
Rating: 5 / 5
What a lovely place to stay. Room was fabulous, meal was greatâŚ.but what we were most impressed with was the friendly upbeat service from all the staff members we dealt with. Ben was particularly helpful with our breakfast the following morning (which was delicious). Highly recommend staying as so picturesque. Thanks so much!
Rating: 5 / 5
Friendly, cosy pub with excellent food and helpful staff. Good kids menu and fabulous fish and chips. Good range of beer. Nice place to come to warm up after a walk along the coast.
Rating: 5 / 5
Brilliant stay, with brilliant staff. Made Christmas that little bit more special! Will definitely be visiting in the new years when the weather is warmer! And hopefully many of the same wonderful staff will be there to welcome us back!
Rating: 5 / 5
We very nearly didn't eat here because of some poor reviews but both the service and the food was excellent! We requested a quiet table as we had a dog and were seated in the snug area which was delightful. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of vegetarian options which makes a nice change. The waiting staff were really friendly and attentive and we really could fault nothing so not sure were the bad reviews come from and I would highly recommend eating here.

The food is chip shop style but tastes good. Service is friendly and there is a separate bar for alcoholic drinks.

Had the fish and chips with mushy peas. This for us is the best fish and chips in Weymouth for your money. The batter is always cooked perfectly, lovely and crispy. A great portion of chips and nice sized pot of mushy peas. Restaurant looks perfectly out over the sea at Bowleaze cove. There is always outside seating under cover and also a decked area.
