Great eatery, and that’s just the start for this little bistro/lounge - a must visit for locals and visitors. Started with a few plates, all of which were fantastic - ranging from the garlic mushrooms, to the DIVINE honey-coated chorizo. The staff were brilliant - quick to serve, and willing to provide suggestions where asked. The drinks menu is just varied enough to cover all bases - and the cocktails are out generous and well made. Once the meal was done, we stuck around for a couple of drinks and it’s then the secret lounge bar emerged. Wonderful atmosphere, great playlist and DJ, and the bar staff barely skipped a beat all night. I can absolutely recommend this place a and will certainly coming back in the near future.

Danielle and the amazing team at Carmen hosted my baby shower and served afternoon tea at the weekend for a group of 30 of us! From the moment we walked in to when we left it was such a great experience. Very relaxed and the team were very attentive and efficient. The food was unreal as it always has been, very generous helpings of everything nice in life and the cocktails (mocktails for me) were so tasty and indulgent. The venue itself is a beautiful place with lots of areas to sit together and the team arranged the whole bar exactly how I wanted it. The bar was closed to the public during the shower which was another lovely touch when you book an event at Carmen. 5 star event! We will definitely be back soon, thank you Danielle and the team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We chose Carmen to host our engagement party, very happy with our choice of venue. Had lots of comments on how gorgeous the venue was, didn’t need many decorations as already looks amazing. Great service and we had a big turn out considering we were only expecting half the numbers that actually turned up 😅 everyone was happy with the service; very spacious and great atmosphere. Came for lunch as a group of 4. I had the salt & pepper loaded fries which was great, fresh and really good value for money! We really enjoyed the decor, service and overall atmosphere. Would highly recommend and we will be back again. Some of our group had cocktails which were reasonably priced, well presented and went down a storm.

Visited for lunch with my husband, interior is quirky and cosy. Menu offers a really good variety of choices. Food was served fresh, hot and was absolutely delicious! Every element of the dishes had flavour and it was just so refreshing to go out for lunch and not be disappointed with mediocre food and boring menus. The coffee and service was also great. We decided to try takeout later in the evening and ordered a couple of the gourmet burgers and fries. We were worried that the food might not be as enjoyable after being delivered and packaged for takeout etc. We were so wrong; the packaging is well adapted and thought out so your food arrives fresh, and still really well presented. Prices are super reasonable, all round a really great little place and well worth a try. Will definitely be back.

Just nipped in here for a quick ice cold pint to wet my whistle. It is the first time I have attended this drinking establishment and overall my opinion is that it is very friendly and clean with nice open spaces.

Decent enough pub, when they put bands on in the main room you can spend an enjoyable half hour trying to communicate your order to the bar staff via mime, gesticulation and interpretive dance.

I think with the buffet breakfast you get good value for what is on offer and how much you can have. Once you've handed the slip over you can serve yourself and can make as much toast as you like. You can upgrade your meal to include unlimited tea and coffee which is always easy on hand. A pleasant experience as it wasn't too busy for a Sunday morning and had nice chilled music in the background.

Went for food with my kids 18, 14 and I'm 53, initially walking through the main front door such a charming very inviting warming clean and friendly atmosphere we had 3 drinks which are faily priced we had mains which where Farmhouse Chicken Tikka Masala/10.99 came with rice chips nan bread poppadom mango chuckney, Curried Chicken Skewer 9.79 chips curry sauce rice nan bread Fully Loaded Chicken Strips 9.49 chips sweet and sour sauce naco sauce The meal came in under 20 mins Plates where fully loaded with piping hot food and friendly staff. My daughter had the chicken tikka masala the only thing she mentioned that the chicken was a little dry and stringymy son had fully loaded chicken strips he cleared the plate so quickly and he said definitely have that again, I had the curry chicken skewers fantastic flavours crispy moist chicken and plenty of curry sauce fantastic value for money we was all full and satisfied didn't need deserts, the cakes are all shown in a inviting cabinet so is the ice cream, all in all think a return visit would be in order, their are plenty of choices on the menus and a good selection vegetarian food well done superb meal

Probably one of the best cafes within NQ! I’ve been a regular for almost a year and the service never fails to disappoint! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They serve the best hot chocolates and probably one of the best brownies within Manchester! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone.

Such a lovely atmosphere and cute vibe. I bring my mom to enjoy the afternoon tea and it was perfect. I loved the scone so much. It was fluffy and perfectly match with cream and jam. I also loved the brunch and rest of the cake and tea as well. Definitely recommend🥰

First time visit today with our 4 year old daughter, can't praise the 2 guys working enough they were so so lovely, the food was gorgeous they let us taste ice cream flavours before we chose one, blackcurrant cheesecake and lemon meringue were soooo good. They even asked us what music we would like on while we sat and ate, honestly they gave the best service. Then to top it off we asked what something was on the menu that we haven't heard off, next thing he's made one for us on the house! Sorry can't recall the name of it but it was similar to a pancake and was delicious. Thank you again so much, we both commented on how welcome you made us feel and we will 100% be returning. Its an absolute rarity these days that people are actually warm and friendly to each other which is a huge shame. So keep up the brilliant work and we will be seeing you again soon. Thursday night tea time ordered papadoms and sauces, chicken pakora which was tasty and nice crispy coating onion bhaji again nice and crispy on the outside. Chicken tikka rogan josh again lots of flavours had a really nice kick to it, also ordered salmon starter with side order of masala sauce this was good with lots of flavour the sides vegetable pilau rice and a garlic nan all where delicious I have also eaten at the tamarind table but this just pip it to the post for me!

We’ve eaten here quite a few times and the food is always outstanding! Super tasty, great service and the prices are also spot on! My personal recommendation is the Rani Special Biryani, it’s the most expensive one but worth the extra *chefs kiss*

Our first visit to the Rani. The food was absolutely gorgeous and I have had some curries from all over Manchester. This was definitely the best I’ve ever had. Our family tried various dishes the owner recommended and each one was delicious. Well worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable. 👍🏻

A nice Indian meal! Friendly staff and tastes dishes so worth a visit. Downside was that the onion bhajis lacked flavour which resulted in a bit of a bland dish, however the main curry dishes and biriyani were flavoursome and had a good level of spice. The little complimentary shot of Bailey's to finish is a nice touch. I would return :)

Called in the talbot on Wednesday for some food .Jane and Anne were excellent service with a smile. The food was excellent when were in next we will try the new pizza menu and be guided by Bill has to which new topping to try. They provided top-notch customer service, taking care of every detail quickly and efficiently, which made the evening feel effortless. It’s rare to find such a friendly and attentive team, and Leona and Ann went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and well taken care of.
