Went for lunch today, having never been before, and have to say that it was really delicious!! The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming. My mum and I both had a croque madame, which was really filling and tasty! I think it was £11.60 and hubby and my son had a breakfast burrito, which I think was £10.90. My son was very impressed with the mega milkshake!!! It was a beautiful day, and you can sit outside by the lock. Will definitely go back again!!!

I'm from California and have had lots of breakfast burritos. Their vegetarian breakfast burrito with Hallumi was delicious. I was worried it would be dry or bland without traditional salsa but they have a nice tomato based sauce that addressed those concerns. I've eaten shashuka in NYC and SF and this place made the best one. My husband is from here and loved the full English breakfast with local sausage (I call em Lincoln Logs). Such great staff and bridge views too.

Recently myself and my family and I have been to this cafe shop and I must say that it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly,respectful, and very welcoming. The food is delicious ! The location is beautiful and clean and the service is very good! I highly recommend this place! 🥰🥰🥰

Lovely busy place, tried the biggest breakfast and it was great. Dog friendly inside too, plenty of outside seating.

Detoured off the A1 - only a few miles and worth it! Beautiful sandwiches, freshly prepared, great selection of cakes and drinks. Specials Board and breakfast options. Friendly staff. Will call again - recommended.

First time visiting after hearing good things and can say it was worth the hype. Homemade food and genuine service from lovely people. Lovely sitting outside with all the tables a good distance away from each other which is a rarity surrounded by greenery and lovely colour. If I’m being picky, the plates are a bit too small with the amount of food on them and just a suggestion to have a few more tables and chairs outdoors as all were taken and most had to sit indoors. Also chips would be a great addition to the menu 😊 5/5 though we will definitely be back 👏🏼

First time visit to The Side House. Well worth the detour on our way to Newark. Lovely breakfast, great coffee. The staff were very friendly. The cakes looked fab, but I stayed strong!! Parking was plentiful in this pretty village. We will be back!

What a little gem! Loved our coffee and cake here this morning. We’d been recommended this place and it’s not somewhere we’d normally venture too as we live closer to Lincoln but I’d definitely make the trip again. Staff can’t do enough for you and the cakes were delicious. Beautiful location and the garden was stunning! Will be coming again with the dog when the sun is shining so we can sit outside

Vegan food was amazing. The small plates to share were delicious! We did wait a while for our food but it was well worth the wait. One waitress explained to us the story behind the volunteers that work there and I felt like they should advertise this part more. Absolutely delicious and I will be back!

Fantastic, quirky decor with excellent food and very friendly and smiley staff. I found it difficult to choose as everything on the menu was unusual and delicious sounding- in the end I opted for fried celeriac with salad on flatbread. Highly recommended.

Central and dog friendly. Spacious and cool deco. Staff were lovely. We had two mains. One was the chicken burger which was well cooked and just what was needed. The other main was the Mac cheese sandwich. It was a mighty sandwich which was more bread than Mac cheese but still tasty and certainly did more than just filled a gap. Would recommend but food choice is a little limited.

Absolutely smashed it. We used this company to cater at our wedding. We had a marquee set up in our little village in the Lincolnshire wolds, Julie and her team smashed it out the park. The food was outstanding. We went to her with our menu choices and she’s was able to cater with no issue at all. If your looking for a caterer then look no further

Amazing food, amazing staff and an amazing experience, we often go out for breakfast/lunch and this is by far the best in Grantham!!! Wish I could give 10 stars!

We love this lovely little café. Excellent home cooked meals and friendly service. Patrick always has a smile on his face despite the local council being very unhelpful with small businesses in town.

Such a wonderful tea room, food is scrumptious, staff are very welcoming, and prices are more than fair. Has outdoor seating available, always my first place to visit when going into grantham.

My husband and I visited Knightingales a few weeks ago. My husband is disabled and walks with a rollator. The owner was absolutely fantastic, anticipating his needs such as fetching a cushion for him to sit on and making him comfortable at the table. We had toasted sandwiches, cheesecake, a flapjack and cold drinks. All were spot on and the bill was reasonable. We were made very welcome and we’ll certainly be visiting again. Thank you so much.

Don't normally do reviews but I had a really tasty ham and tomato sandwich, fresh cut bread and very filling. I had to leave my scone until later! Friendly staff and well packaged sandwiches.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea. The food was exquisite and very tasty. Catered separately for me as I'm gluten free. Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty to eat, in fact what we couldn't eat was boxed up to take home. Lovely experience and we upgraded to include a lovely prosecco. Good value too. Thank you Sarah and team.

Went for afternoon tea and it was amazing 🤩 lots of food all very fresh Staff very attentive and kept asking if we were ok and kept offering drink top ups! Definitely recommend and will be back 🤩🤩

Stayed here twice one time in a caravan and then in the lodge. The pitches are to a good standard and the lodges are even better! I have been in the restaurant multiple times and the food is very good and so is the inside and outside. Alongside my stay i had also managed to fish there and i must say that the bailiffs are very very friendly and keen on helping. Both bailiffs gave me advice on where and how to fish and on what bait. And therefore managed to catch a stunning carp after i had been given a sample of preferred bait choice. As a teen i must say this place is very welcoming especially if you’re a angler. And i will be hopefully returning soon!

Lovely campsite, we went on a super pitch which is excellent loads of room and full facilities. We stayed for 8 nights and loved the place. The restaurant is very good aswell, the pizzas were excellent. The bailiffs are very friendly and helpful, caught 4 doubles on the match lake as the specimen lake was busy on Sunday. It was just a shame my fishing wasn't better on the specimen lake. We will be back.

From us it was a thumbs up. Lovely reception staff, easy check in. Fab spacious pitch (we chose super pitch which was worth it) These were well laid out, had hedges to seperate every 2 pitches, were not crowded etc. I'm unsure why people are moaning about not getting lake views etc... if you haven't booked a lake view don't expect one! Just because its free doesnt mean your entitled to it!! It's a easy 2 min walk to be lakeside and fab walks around them, lots of open space for picnics /children to play if you wish. The lakes we walked were easy accessibile. Only used the toilet block once before leaving as used our own, however they were clean and tidy, if you want to be picky possibly a little dated but far nicer than many sites we've come across. Plenty of toilets and showers, clean, no smells etc. We didn't use the on site restaurant as for us personally it seemed a bit pricey, however we are tight yorkshire folk!! It always seemed busy so must be decent. ANPR to get in and out making site secure and easy to use. Close to a couple of smaller villages for shops etc. We would definitely come back here.

We love this tea room and try to visit everytime we come to Lincoln. The place is so beautiful giving a nod to times gone by. The atmosphere is lovely and they take pride in how they serve there food, using vintage tableware and dressing the part. We had cake and tea on this visit and both were delightful. The best little tea house in Lincoln.

The freshest cake I've ever had! Delicious! One of the best coffee cakes around. Loved the interior design, was made to feel very comfortable by the staff. Recommend! 10/10!

Absolutely amazing tea room in Lincoln. The food is exceptionally well priced and very delicious. They do the best scone I've ever had, and the afternoon tea is just ridiculous value. Highly highly recommend to locals and anyone passing through!

What an amazing find in the historic part of Lincoln. Run by a lovely team, serving a stunning selection of cakes and scones. Chose afternoon tea, opting for the divine cherry and cinnamon tea together with the luscious Turkish Delight cake. Great selection of choice for vegan and gluten-free guests, all set in a quirky vintage tea shop. So happy we found this.

Possibly the best coffee I’ve had in Lincoln so far. The menu revolves around dishes with waffles as the name implies. My breakfast was all well cooked and tasty, but my waffle was cold for some reason. The staff are all really good. Definitely worth a visit.
