My daughter, wife and I dropped in for lunch today , Staff were very friendly and food was excellent. Home cooked food at its best and very good value, we will definitely be returning as our daughter has recently moved nearby. Highly recommend a visit here if passing by.
I'm only in the area for a few days but I happened on this pub by chance, and so glad I did. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff, especially the lady doing the meals. I ordered the beef and ale pie and it was amazing! Beautiful big chunks of lean steak, with mushrooms a gravy, with chips and peas on the side. The tastiest and most filling meal I've had in a long long time. Beautiful
Lovely food. Friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly - making lots of fuss of our well behaved dogs. Lots of locals in the pub and a warm and friendly welcome. We will definitely be back.

Lovely pub in a historic building. Atmosphere always good here. Serves very good quality food but you will need to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. Staff are lovely, friendly and professional. Has a large range of gins to choose from if that is your favoured tipple including some local gins. Has all the usual other alcoholic drinks you would expect and a coffee machine offering several different coffee options
