We Visited this lovely little shop whilst we were on holiday in a lovely lodge, obviously wanted some wood did it know the area at all, the gentleman that was at the counter was instantly welcoming and made us feel quite happy to be in a new area. He found the items we needed and directed to somewhere we could get what he didn’t have. Fab reception

Goodwins DIY might look small from the outside, but it’s an absolute treasure trove once you step inside – like an Aladdin’s cave or a TARDIS. They truly have just about everything you could need for any DIY project, and I’ve always found exactly what I was looking for without having to venture far from home. The staff are fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer helpful advice and suggestions. Whether you’re tackling a big project or just picking up a few essentials, this shop is a local gem. Highly recommended for all DIY enthusiasts.

This is what I would refer to as a proper hardware store. It is a family run business, staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, they will give you advice about the best things to do the job, but they don't try to sell you things that you don't need. They have an impressive range of stock at competitive prices, which they can also deliver if required. My wife has said that she feels comfortable going there to get things to do, unlike some other places she has been. Update, we have now been using Goodwins for over a year and they are our 1st choice of places to go when we need anything for our DIY projects.
