It's a lovely place to stay, conveniently located near the EuroTunnel. Charming but modern rooms with a very cozy pub downstairs. All the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the service was above and beyond. We had an amazing breakfast in the morning. Our only regret is that we weren't there early enough to enjoy dinner. We would absolutely stay here again.

A truly lovely place to stay and relax. Breakfast was so tasty and varied. My room was clean, comfortable and loved all the extra chocolate treats made by the kitchen & a good old fashioned "choc tea cake" We enjoyed the garden & walked round the village as we were attending a wedding at Crown Lodge, thanks again it was very memorable .

This pub has an extraordinary atmosphere , excellent food like the braised sea bass or the partridge pate. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is always around and open for special wishes or just a talk Unfortunately we cannot give more than 5 points. Adrien November 24

To our delight, the food arrived promptly, piping hot, and without the usual long wait times. It certainly feels like there's been a change in management, and if so, they're off to an excellent start. Wishing the new team every success ā€“ we'll definitely be back!

This pub is a hidden gem. It is walking distance from the outlet shopping centre and fairly close to the Centre of Ashford. You wouldn't know it on approach but this pub has a serene riverside beer garden, traditional seating inside and a new (at time of writing) play area for kids. The food was excellent. We stopped for a lunchtime snack. Between us we had a fish finger wrap, a sausage baguette and the Cajun chicken and bacon salad. The salad was amazing with tender and flavoursome chicken. The staff were friendly, calm and couldn't be more helpful.

A great place to breakdown! Our motorhome starter motor packed in on site. The staff went out of their way to help us and put us in touch with a local mechanic who came out next day and fitted a replacement part to get us underway and onwards to France. It's a great venue for good food and beer and is dog friendly, as the name implies - but the quiz questions are too hard! So close to the tunnel too. Beware - all being well we will be visiting you again in early January 2025 (but we will avoid parking in the bosses parking space) !

What a great place! A wonderful evening spent with friends. Good atmosphere, amazing food and welcoming staff. Duncan the owner is a real character and loves what he does! I would highly recommend the pizza selection, mine was the Hot Thing šŸ”„ Pizza base made with flour from the local windmill, deep in toppings and wonderful flavour! Live outdoor music made you feel like you were on holiday. Happy 50th Duncan! šŸŽ‚šŸ»šŸŽŠ

Looking for a pub car park stop over in our 9 meter motorhome after crossing the tunnel, we had passed two that claimed ā€œample parkingā€ but unaware you must be able to now buy smart car motorhome and not owning one we persevered, only to drop on this absolute gem of a place. Located on a very smart commercial / retail park, with massive parking, dog walks with foul bins, amazing views, the location was second to none. The venue was, as its name suggests dog friendly, the drinks were well selected and very welcome after 3 months in Europe ! The decor was as funky and inventive as it comes, and the street food was delicious. Well done everyone you have got every element correct on what customers expect, see you same time next year

Lovely and lively little pub in the countryside near Ashford. Spent a few hours having a quick lunch and a drink while watching The Rec live. Very good beers (including one specially brewed for the pub), good food (including the icecream) and a big collection of vynil records.

A fantastic family favourite with excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, we visit at least once a week! Stubbs is hands down our favourite restaurant, and it's no surprise that we make a point of visiting at least once a week. The combination of excellent food, friendly staff, and a wonderful setting makes it a place we always look forward to returning to. What sets Stubbs apart is the consistently high quality of everything on the menu. Whether youā€™re looking for fish, lobster, steak, or a burger, every dish is faultless and always cooked to perfection. The cocktails and Guinness are always served exactly as they should be. One of the things we appreciate most is that you can order anything off the menu and know it will always be nice. The staff are another reason we keep coming back. Eva, the main hostess, deserves a special mention for the warm and welcoming impression she gives at the entrance. She works incredibly hard to ensure that every guest is happy, and her efforts donā€™t go unnoticed. Lucio, one of the waiters, is always cheerful, professional, and friendly, making every meal even more enjoyable. While Stubbs can get extremely busy even on weekdays, itā€™s not uncommon to see every table full, along with several large groups of twelve or more people. Weā€™ve dined here both as a couple and as a family, and even though weekends can be noisy and bustling, (my youngest prefers the quieter weekday visits.) However, we are always happy to dine here, no matter the day, as thereā€™s always a great mix of people and families. A standout feature of Stubbs is the absence of any "discretionary" service charge, which we often see added to the bill at some other restaurants. We always try to tip the staff generously because we recognise how hard they work under pressure to ensure everything runs smoothly in such a busy environment but it's so nice for you to have the choice of your own. When choosing foor our favourites are the starters of brie and toast, and tempura prawns, followed by the steak with peppercorn sauce and the Blues Burger often with a side of lobster. For dessert, we often choose choclate cake or the ice cream with brandy snap basket. We have also tried many cocktails here and the Mojito is one of our favourites. Whenever we've had a challenging week, we head straight to Stubbs for a meal that never fails to lift our spirits and round off the week on a high note. We canā€™t wait for our next visit!

One of the best places in Ashford to have a nice meal. Portion sizes are generous and food is well cooked. The service is excellent with friendly, helpful staff. One thing I like is that the service charge is not automatically added to your bill. They don't really need to because the staff work hard and so deserve the tip. I had no problem adding it to my final total. Decor is good and makes for a nice atmosphere and relaxing lunch vibe. I will definitely be back.

#No61 Cafe

Units 3-4, Cedar Parade, Repton Ave, Ashford TN23 3TE, UK | Coffee Shop
P: 01233 368261

Rating: 4.7 (347) Price Level:

The food and coffee here are both excellent, though it is a bit on the expensive side. The place itself is really nice and well-presented, which adds to the experience. However, there was one issue that stood out to me. During a breakfast visit, someone brought their dog into the cafe. At first, the dog was sitting under the table, but then it started barking and growling at a child on the next table. After a few minutes, the dog jumped up and was sitting on the velvet seating next to the owner, and it stayed there. We were seated on the opposite side of the cafe, so it didn't affect us directly. But honestly, if they had been seated anywhere near us, we would have walked straight out the door, I donā€™t feel comfortable eating near animals in a restaurant or cafeā€”especially when they're sitting at the tables. We generally prefer to dine in places without animals around, so I hope this was just a one-time thing, It would be nice to keep coming back without worrying about unexpected dog encounters.

I donā€™t often write reviews as Iā€™m usually too lazy however after visiting here I felt it was necessary I do one. For starters, when you walk in the place itself it is beautiful. Flowers everywhere and great photo op decor. Theyā€™ve hit the nail on the head with the decor and is super eye catching. Secondly, they greet you upon entrance and sit you down at a table which really uplifts the experience from a regular cafe to a proper restaurant. Server (owner) came over and asked if weā€™re ready and was lovely when we needed more time. When the drinks arrived I was gobsmacked. The caramel macchiato was SO GOOD and looked so freaking cool. The attention to detail was impeccable and it was just another regular cold drink served in a regular old glass. The drink itself was super sweet at first but it was a good burst to my senses but after a few sips was a more tame flavour. My boyfriend ordered a smoothie, it looked awesome as now expected and it also was so good. Wasnā€™t too sweet but wasnā€™t bland either. Food came and it was so yummy!!!! Presentation was really good also and fruit came on the side of my full breakfast which was a sweet surprise. Overall this place is a great place but also it is well thought out and an awesome twist on an English cafe and Turkish breakfasts.

Really lovely cafe. I went for brunch with a friend and my daughter and we definitely wasn't disappointed! The pancakes were my favorite,so light and fluffy! I definitely recommend them ,but generally everything was delicious! I can't complain about a thing. It was a lot bigger inside then I thought, the seating was comfortable and lovely and it wasn't noisy like some cafes can be. The best part is it's in walking distance from my house so I will definitely be going back again. Thank you No61 cafe

The Farrier Arms provided a delightful experience that exceeded all our expectations. A quick call to confirm they were open and dog-friendly turned out to be a fortuitous decision for our evening plans. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and immediately felt at home. The Hobgoblin ale and a fine selection of wine were just what we had been waiting for, perfectly complementing the relaxed atmosphere of this charming pub. The addition of two cups of peanuts made for a perfect snack. Sitting in the garden with our three dogs was a serene and enjoyable experience. The garden itself was beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful and welcoming environment for both us and our furry companions. The Farrier Arms is an absolute gem, and it provided the perfect setting for a cosy drink before settling in for the night in our VW campervan. We highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a friendly, dog-welcoming spot with excellent drinks and a lovely garden to unwind in.

Set in the Kent countryside, in an idyllic farming village, the beer garden has green views and a picture book river with fish and two crossing footbridges into a paddock style area. Tables are laid out spaciously and there were shaded areas and under cover parts of the patio. Inside the restaurant is decorated to a high standard, with comfortable dining seats and tables dressed with a small from the garden style flower bouquet. There are a few traditional dried hops overhead in one or two places to remind you that you are in the garden of Kent, the once hop centre of the UK. The building is of some age with some low beams, cielings and frames in places. The bar is well stocked with a great variety of beers, lagers and wines, some of which are locally produced. The pub supports the local vineyards and it has a good community feel. The food was exceptional. Really exceptional. Classic food cooked in a way that makes me wish I could eat there every night. Initially put off by the lack of vegetarian options, but found something that worked for my 12 year old and all was good, in fact it was better than good, both children happily cleared their plates and rated the food 10/10. The food was sourced locally. It was full of flavour. Presented appetisingly with space on the plate. It was seasoned well. There wasn't a single issue with the food apart from it being so good that we didn't have room for the mouthwateringly tempting desserts. The customer service was fantastic. It really was a joy to dine there.

Have been visiting the pub for many years but never reviewed it. A great place to stop for a drink (they brew their own beers), for a quick grab or for a nice meal in their pub area or restaurant area. Their menu changes regularly (while they have a core pub menu), with special tasting events (dishes paired with wines). The field at the back of the pub is perfect for the kids to play football. Overall, one of my favourite places in the area.

I recently enjoyed a Christmas menu meal with some friends, and it was a wonderful experience.I was happy with the delicious vegan options on the menu and my friends thoroughly enjoyed their non vegan options. The first time I've been here in a few years ,it was ok. The food was abit pricey and I wasn't a fan of the chips because they seem like they were cooked in a fryer? (tasted fatty) but were ok . Unfortunately the 2 puddings I wanted to try (my 1st and 2nd choice, not 2 puddings at once) they were out of ,and I'm not a fan of nuts , so I missed out on the brownie . But my friends had it and it looked lovely (if you like nuts), the tart ta tan also looked lovely but I had eaten too much to fit that in by that point. What I didn't realise was the nachos (specials menu) was a sharer ....but me being me , I ate it all to myself . The cocktails looked good too šŸ‘Œ Plenty of parking, nice outside area and toilets were clean and nice

Best fry up in Kent! We only ever come here for breakfast, so we haven't tried their lunch items. However, their breakfast is incredible. They have a few different fry up options for you to choose from, I always get a set 1, and I change the option for chips or bubble to hash browns. The set 1 and other options comes with crusty bread or toast and a tea, coffee or cold drink. It is cash only, but there is a BP around the corner with a cash point. However it does have a Ā£2.50 charge.

If I could give this 6 Stars I would. First time here. Lady who served me was full of life and chatted and joked with everyone. Proper sized mugs of tea and coffee. I had a bacon baguette and they used Tiger bread which made it even more delicious. Others were having the full English and they also looked very good. Toilet and facilities were in immaculate condition. Slight downside was they only took cash. However, if ever I'm in the area again, it would be my first choice.

Popped in while working in the area. Cracking cafe with plenty of seating and a welcome and clean environment. Served efficiently by professional and courteous members of staff and very impressed with the Set 1 breakfast.
