The really lovely staff and great quality food make this an excellent stop in for lunch or just a drink and cake. Access is easy, and there's a covered outside area. They are always really nice to my elderly mum.

I've read a couple of bad reviews about this place and fortunately many others very positive. My personal experience has been very positive indeed: sat down for a coffee, relaxing atmosphere and lovely, available staff. I need to say coffee quality is above average (Illy coffee is advertised) and cost was as expected for being in the main Cranbrook strip. Oh, and they accept dogs, which is a strong additional 'plus' for coming again.

I visited this really lovely little cafe with a friend today, it is a bit hidden, but really is a hidden gem. The ladies working in there today (maybe owner(s)) were really friendly and fun. The food was fresh and delicious. We were made to feel very welcome and both said we would definitely like to visit again! Highly recommended.

Love this place, it's a little gem. Lovely home cooked food. The staff are welcoming, lovely, chatty and friendly. My new place to go to with my mum. We love it.

We went to this cafe today with the kids to have afternoon tea and I have to admit it was the best cafe I have been to. Not only do you have the "Lakeview" but the food was great. But what made it exceptional was the staff, my weird they were the loveliest people with the exact right balance of attentiveness such a place needs, not in your face but not leaving you on your own. The kids were very comfortable. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic breakfast in the sunshine watching the swans on the water and the fish jumping in the lake. Stunning location with views overlooking the lakes from the outside tables on the veranda. Food is delicious, well presented and all locally sourced, breakfast served until midday. Friendly, welcoming staff and ample parking spaces.

I stayed here for my birthday, what a truly lovely place. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We stayed in the deluxe double, totally worth it. The room was amazing with great presentation. Breakfast was perfect, a good choice and the meal in the evening was exceptional. I will go back, and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Kent that is looking for high standards for their stay.

What a great little find this was. Beautiful rooms which look like they’ve been recently upgraded. The rooms looked lovely on line and even better when we arrived. We were upgraded to a room that had a lovely little snug. Not only were the rooms stunning but they even supplied the most delicious chocolate brownies! When we arrived for check in the lovely lady provided us with complementary coffee and tea which was such a nice touch. We have been away a fair bit over the years and haven’t experienced this in many places. Lots of pluses about the Queens Inn - - complementary tea/coffee on arrival - brownies in the room - plenty of charging points (and next to the bed!) - check out time 11am - delicious breakfast - continental with full English - extremely tasty pizzas (and great side salads) - fabulous staff! We did find the breakfast room rather loud but this was probably to do with the lack of soft furnishings and there was a large group in. However the lovely staff let us sit in the main area to have our breakfast. They were so accommodating, nothing was too much problem. Such a lovely, lovely stay, thoroughly recommend. Thank you all!

We stopped in for lunch whilst on a walk with my 5 month old puppy. We were welcomed and found a quiet corner where my puppy settled down under the table. Lunch was delicious, a fish finger sandwich. Yummy, perfect comfort food. I would definitely go again.

Popped in after a walk through the countryside. Nice friendly staff, good selection of drinks, a small pub, but a lovely place. We didn’t have any food, so cannot comment here, but their pie night looks great!

Was recommended this pub by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Lovely oak beams and wooden tresses, well presented, clean and cosy pub, the staff were highly attentive and worked tirelessly and a real credit to the pub. Menu is just right for choice and priced fairly. Food was hot and came quickly and all courses were delicious. Only slight downfall was the parking on this particular evening. The car park is big, but we went at 6.15pm on a Friday eve and was told all the locals go there from 4pm so there was no where to park and had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to leave. Will definitely be back but on a weekday night.

We had a takeaway roast dinner from The Woodcock Inn yesterday. I had a mixed children's roast dinner and my partner had a beef dinner, the portion sizes were great, very good value for money and delicious. Would highly recommend The Woodcock Inn and will definitely be back!! So nice to have a treat with all that is going on during this pandemic. (First 2 pics of takeaway roast dinner) 20/11/22- visited with a friend today for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. The portions were huge and the food was brilliant quality! Highly recommended. All tables were booked, which we thought was a brilliant sign, so would definitely phone in advance and book a table! 7/7/24- We visited for a friend's birthday yesterday, the food was as good as ever!! I will definitely be trying the burger next time I visit, as it looked epic!! My steak was very good..!!

Lovely village pub tucked away in a country lane in Iden Green. Good food, lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Our group of 6 were well looked after and were not rushed off our table, even though it was Sunday lunchtime. Would definitely recommend. There is a good sized parking area on the opposite side of the road to the pub, but this place can get busy and parking spaces fill up quickly at peak times.

My fiancé and I recently celebrated our engagement party at the Woodcock and I cannot thank Lyndora, Lottie and the rest of the team enough! Everything was absolutely perfect! They made it so special for us and the food was absolutely delicious! We are still getting messages from friends and family, to say how much they loved the food and already want to come back! The whole thing was beautifully done and we cannot thank them enough! So THANK YOU!

I had a takeaway roast platter today and wow I was not disappointed. Usually a roast from anywhere other than at home isn’t anywhere near as satisfying as you’d hope. This one exceeded my expectations. Service on the telephone was friendly and helpful. Service when I arrived was also lovely. Meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, really good service. Quite pricey but not excessive. Had the squash and blue cheese starter which was really delicious, the chicken kebab main which was really fun, and the grilled veggies were perfect. The crumble dessert was good, but needed more actual crumble. Also one minor criticism, the electric vehicle charger out front is brilliant...if it works, which it didn't.

A really great old pub to visit and eat, excellent Sunday roast and plenty of choice of meals from a varied menu including pizza cooked fresh in a huge indoor pizza oven. A lovely old building updated to a very high standard. Recommended 👍

Fantastic venue for food. Staff all very helpful and polite. Food was fantastic, couldn't fault what we had at all. Service was very fast, though it was quiet when we went (a Monday lunch time). Would love to visit again on pizza night, as they have an open area for the chefs to prep and cook them in the pizza oven. Sufficient parking at both the front and rear of the restaurant.

I come to the trough almost every day for either just a drink or to have something yummy to eat! Me and my children absolutely love it here! Such a friendly place with chatty staff and always very helpful and kind to myself and my children, we’ve had mini English breakfasts and lots of waffles along with coffees and milkshakes and have never had a bad experience! I absolutely recommend this cafe to anyone and everyone! X

Absolutely recommend trying out this Café. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the Full English Breakfast and Savoury Waffle (Bacon and Maple Syrup), which were both presented beautifully. The Full English has a nice variety of options with extras being reasonably priced and worth every penny. The waffle was thick and fluffy with the bacon rashers tasting perfect in combination with the maple syrup. In terms of drinks we tried the smoothies which both tasted heavenly. Our wait for the food was around 5-10 minutes and worth every second. The staff were extremely friendly and professional greeting us with smiles and jokes from time to time. We will absolutely be coming back here again

Had the mini breakfast, it was perfect! High quality, fresh and delicious. The dirty chai latte was authentic and had a wonderful aroma to it. A peaceful spot in the heart of the countryside - surrounded by a stunning farm shop. I will be coming back many times over.

We visited today, the place was beautiful, busy, welcoming, and dog friendly, I said my name, and the landlord remembered our email communications literally word for word! The team there are worth their weight in gold. The food was excellent, so delicious 10/10, my dog was offered his own plate, given a treat and given his own water bowl. We can't wait to visit there again, the prices are well worth it. The food portions were very ample. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING ITS FANTASTIC.

Had a surprise Birthday Meal here for my Mum on January 2nd 2024. The staff were superb, attentive, friendly, helpful service. Nothing was too much trouble. I took a cake in and balloon for the table in the morning which they kept and bought out at the appropriate time along with plates to put the cake on. The food was all excellent, every guest loved their food. We had the Beef Burgers, chicken burgers, Nachos, Thai Green Curry, Steak pie.. 11of us in total. Drink was served and plenty of people frequently checked if we needed more and then serving as required. The staff really were 100% and this made for a fantastic evening with some lovely memories for our family. If you get the chance to eat here, you won't be disappointed. This is definitely my 1st choice for future bookings when I'm in the area. Thank-you to everyone who helped make our evening such a fantastic one.

Our 1st visit was for Christmas lunch with a group of about 30. The venue is cozy and the decor very homely. The staff were brilliant considering the size of our group - I'm sure it was frustrating dealing with so many demanding people. The chef did a brilliant job since he appeared to be almost alone in the kitchen. He deserves praise and a bonus! The starters were enjoyed by all. We had the liver pate which was excellent. The mains, the only complaint we heard were that the brusslesprouts were under cooked and that they couldn't eat a lot as it was a healthy serving. We had the festive burger - while the pig in blanket and stuffing on a stick was a great decorative touch it had been left on the grill a long time and was very dry. The burger though was brilliantly tasty. The deserts had mixed review, with the frangipani being lovely, the Christmas pudding dry as there was not enough custard, the cheese board was enough for 2. I was unfortunately 1 who had to change my dessert due to no stock/delivery of the parfait. I opted for something of the menu, Apple and Blueberry pie I think it was. It was so hot I was still trying to eat it long after everyone had finished so I didn't really enjoy it, sorry. Overall though it was a lovely afternoon. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it a success.

Great family pub with, Shepherd Neame beers, quality food and with dedicated dog-friendly area at the front and good-sized yard at the back. We especially enjoyed the sharing nachos, the special pancakes on the kids menu and the quality coffee. We visited at the end of a busy bank holiday so lots of options had run out but the staff were all great about this and really helpful.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place last week and was very pleased with my service. I have allergies which they highly catered for me. The waitress checked with the chefs and gave me multiple options. She was patient and kind. The food was delicious with very generous portions! For me menu is too restrictive so I wouldn’t return but I definitely would recommend and I appreciate the lovely service me and my two daughters received. Genuinely nice place to visit.

Having been to see the gardens at Great Maytham Hall (lovely),which don't provide refreshments, rang first & were told plenty of cake, coffee & tea available plus they did lunches & breakfasts too. Weren't disappointed, able to have the big table inside (it was a hot day), enjoyed delicious tea & cakes, a very welcome break. A pretty well stocked place for a village shop with post office facilities too. Pleasant staff made it well worth the visit. Will def go again.

Found this place a 5 minute drive from the Beneden Hospital, I had a great tasting cappuccino coffee and fabulous slice coffee cake while sitting outside watching the world go by. Staff also very pleasant and welcoming, highly recommend a visit.

We come here every year for at least two lunches when we rent a holiday home nearby - it’s such a hit with all of us - fabulous pizzas and a great menu. The staff were absolutely fantastic at supporting us when we unexpectedly brought our profoundly autistic son due to his carer’s car breaking down! Couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive and this is MUCH appreciated xx

We visited the Milk House for a meal. My friend had a chicken burger. ( I think it was described as) and chips. I had the vegan curry. My friend said hers had 3 chicken fillets in. Very good and plenty of chips. My vegan curry was served with cauliflower rice, nan and raita and it tasted lovely. I think the curry was a little small for the money, but the quality made up for it. Very generous menu with lots of choice for everyone. Also fresh pizzas being served outside which looked delicious.lovely garden and views outside. Play area for kids. Marquee outside indicating they have special events at times. Toilets were beautifully clean, a pleasure to use. I can't comment on the rooms as we were only visiting for food. However based on the standard of everything else I believe they will be lovely. I would definitely recommend this pub.

Visited the Milk House yesterday while on holiday in the area, & it totally exceeded our expectations. The food was gorgeous! I had the vegan lentil salad starter & beetroot tarte tatin main which were seriously delicious. I love when the vegan offering is something more than your bog standard tickbox - you can tell a lot of thought went into creating both these dishes. My husband had the roast (beef) and said it was the best roast he’s had out in ages. Good portion sizes too. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Went for a birthday lunch today and really enjoyed everything about the Milk House.
