Stopped here for lunch today after walking around Old Winchester Hill nearby. I'm so glad we did! Despite being busy, we managed to grab a table and food arrived within 10 minutes or so. We had the mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto panini and the goats cheese, avocado and salad sandwich. Both were really fresh and delicious. Two small improvements would have been the panini being a bit hotter and more avocado in the sandwich as it was very thinly sliced but, we will definitely be back to try some of the other delicious food we saw coming out of the kitchen. Really reasonable prices too.

Really lovely little cafe that’s situated in The Sustainability Centre. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. All the food is vegan and vegetarian and tasted really fresh. I had the vegan lasagne, which was really delicious. I also had a few glasses of their cloudy apple juice. It’s also dog friendly.

The Beech Cafe is a total delight and well worth the 1 hour drive we do to get there! As a vegetarian I was so grateful to find a cafe that serves really delicious veggie food; but I was more thrilled that my meat-loving wider family love this cafe as much as i do! We have been for many years and have only ever enjoyed top quality, fresh and super tasty food. Today we had vegetarian Mexican burritos, mozzarella and cheese panini, sausage(ve)and sweet potato casserole, avocado, olive and sundried tomato salad and soups; all followed by a selection of awesome cakes and coffees. I forgot to take pictures as we ate everything so quickly, but I’m gutted as my words may not do as much justice as the pictures would! The value is almost too great, I think the lovely team deserve to up their prices, as they deliver more than most for their prices. A gem of a find, surrounded by beautiful forests and fantastic walks available. The staff are all super hard working and, in my opinion, exemplars of their industry!

Wonderful #Dog friendly place to go if you want a menu that is largely vegan or vegetarian. From the (regularly changing) specials board we chose Burger with Wedges, Macaroni Cheese and Burritos with Sour Cream and Corn Chips. OMG all the food was completely delicious and completely surpassed my expectations. We also had a large pot of tea which was MASSIVE and vegan chocolate cake. The specials board changes every 2 weeks so looking forward to future visits. There's parking nearby, and a flat path to the entrance.

Didn't even realise this place was here! Son wanted burgers for his birthday and when we googled Smash brothers came up. So glad it did, burgers were delicious, fries and Parmsan garlic fries we lovely! We will definitely be ordering from here again, everyone has already decided what they will be trying next time.

Hands down one of the best burgers I ever had. Would put to shame the vast majority of ‘quality burger’ spots London has to offer. Ordered the double Oklahoma which comes with American cheese, fried onion and American mustard. Absolute flavour bomb. Very reasonably priced as well

Being a burger snob and eating good and bad ones in quite a few places, I had to try out this new place in Alton. I'm glad to say, it's a really good burger! Reminded me of Burgermeister in Berlin, which is a good thing. Fries could have been more crispy but some don't like them as crunchy as I do, so I'll make sure to ask next time to fry them a bit more. I can't wait to try the one with peanut butter! A decent burger place in Alton... Finally!

Made the trip from Basingstoke to Alton to try a smash burger from the Smash brothers, the burger was so tasty I would travel much further for that quality. I thought it was easily as good as a five guys and much tastier than a recent 7 bone I had. We both had a pickle burger, I had a double the other half had a single and we shared a Parmesan garlic May fries. We will be back I would thoroughly recommend smash brothers.

We had our company Christmas meal at the White Hart last night, 24 people. The food was incredible and we didn't have to wait long for them to serve everyone together. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was ok for drinks between courses and anything else we might need. The organisation before the night was fantastic, great communication and very friendly - Thank you Stephanie!

Enjoyed lunch yesterday. Fantastic food. Best fish and chips ever ! Fresh , hot and very tasty. Lovely warm and cosy with the log fire on. Great to sit in there after a walk in the village. Friendly bar staff. Excellent service. Must visit again soon.

Went there for Sunday lunch. Good food, if a bit pricey. The serving staff were excellent but the wait for our main courses was too long. One minor complaint... Put pound signs against your prices or next time I'll try and pay in Rand or Roubles.

Lovely one night stay yesterday. Fish & chips and roast beef for dinner were very tasty with good sized portions. Shared a waffle and ice cream for dessert, very nice. Comfortable room and good choice for breakfast. Staff were friendly and service good. Will back in the summer for a braai. Good undercover seating in the garden

The hall was perfect venue for holding the get together for dad's funeral, great kitchen and bar facilities. There's a lovely green with a play area should you have children attending. I'd strongly recommend enquiriing about local lady Sarah for any catering requirements, a great lady, so efficient,made the whole event effortless for us and food was perfect.

We recently organized our 3-year-old's birthday party at the venue, which offers a variety of facilities including parking, a full kitchen, a lounge area, a garden, toilets, and coat hangers. However, we found that the men's restroom could benefit from some improvements, while the women's restroom was in much better condition. On the day of the party, we encountered an issue with the newly installed music system, which was not functioning despite attempts by several individuals to troubleshoot. We ultimately contacted the person in charge, who responded promptly and was able to resolve the issue. Overall it's a nice venue for small gatherings.

Wow what a venue! I independently hired this hall twice and both times I received fantastic feedback from my guests. The first event was my daughter’s 4th birthday party. The space was large enough for 30+ children and parents playing games and long trestle tables (supplied by the venue) for the food. The children had so much room to run around, and the parents were impressed with the amount of parking. I booked the hall again for my 40th birthday in October. With a hired band, dancefloor, and photo booth, I needed a venue large enough to host the equipment but not too large that the room felt empty. It was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped for the food prep and the bar area was perfect for serving drinks, keeping the main hall separate for dancing. The built-in disco lights and fairy lights added an amazing feature and helped bring the ambience together. There are also plenty of chairs and tables. Kim was fast to respond to any emails and queries. On the day I had an issue with the sound system, he fixed it within 10 minutes of my call which was fantastic and kept me stress free! I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hall again. Amazing value for money, clean, well equipped, and friendly communication. Thank you!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a massive thank you for the absolutely brilliant party at Beech Village Hall. It's definitely my favourite venue in the area and the setting is perfect for a disco party with lights and great sound system. I love the lounge area and the new furniture. The highlight this year was the photo slide in the corridor where guests could see old photos of their children and remember great memories of them. Again, thank you, it was such a great time, and see you again one day!

Had my first experience here Wednesday evening. What can I say, a very Warm welcome by the manager and his staff. Good was amazing. Very Reasonable too . Decided to have a Sunday banquet £15.95 but as it was December they had the festive banquet @ £25.95 and they even offered it for 2 dine in customers. The restaurant look like a typical Indian, but don't let the fool you. The food was fresh and tasty, even though I did not manage to experience the smaller normal banquet, the Christmas one was very filling and provided many options. We even asked to have a doggy bag as could not finish it all. They also offer tribute nights, something I may go and re-visit. The restaurant manager gave us complimentary drinks after the meal. Definitely go and try the place out.

I recently went for dinner and will definitely go back again. They do the best mango chutney ever. I should've had it to take away for breakfast. 😊 The atmosphere was very good, soft music, soft lights, good decor, clean and with comfortable seats. Our family visited Khao Soi for a birthday treat on a Saturday lunchtime. It was amazing, the front of house lady was just lovely. Welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. There were five of us and all of us cleared our plates. The small plates we had, chicken satay, giant prawn ‘toast’ and dumplings were just superb. Winner across the board was the sweet chilli sauce! We wanted more and they kindly obliged. Couldn’t fault any of the whole experience. It took us an hour and half to get there, but we’ll be back!

This is a lovely, owner operated restaurant run by Masterchef winner Chariya, is a little gem. The service is excellent, with friendly staff who offered a warm welcome, were attentive and very helpful with food information. The menu is quite small, which is good because the kitchen produces the dishes really quickly and does a great job of cooking tasty food. Chariya herself works in the kitchen. I look forward to visiting again and trying some other dishes.

A much awaited visit to this gorgeous new restaurant in my home town didn't disappoint. The Thai inspired dishes were bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is fairly small and had a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to friends and can't wait to visit again very soon.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this being the restaurant of a Masterchef winner but I wasn't disappointed. The food outshone what I had experienced in the oriental parts of the world. It was gorgeous, the food sang from my taste buds in ways I haven't encountered since I came to this part of the world. The waitresses were friendly and attentive, I couldn't ask more from them. Their delivery of food from kitchen to plate, with a smile, was all I could ever ask for.. The overall experience was simple, with the food being front and centre, stealing the show. Would I go back... I want to go back already and I have only just left. Go here, eat the deliciousness on offer and have an amazing meal.

A true olde world country pub that I and my husband love. We eat here quite regularly and often pop in for just a drink. We can’t fault it. Excellent food at reasonable prices, and friendly service. If you want to swap out any sides included in a main dish for an alternative, it’s never a problem. Always best to book in advance if you want to eat, as it can get very busy.

Just a wonderful place to be for a Sunday lunch - we were in the right hand side of the pub which was perfect. The choice of roasts was brilliant and you can have a duo or a trio as well as your favourite - our party had a mix of all the roasts and there was a great choice for kids too. Great beer and also a solid wine list.

We have visited the pub several times recently and each time have enjoyed a delicious meal and received great service. Each time the staff were attentive and checked we had everything we needed. The food service was great - taking the time I would expect for a freshly prepared meal. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the open fire lovely and warm. As a vegetarian I was pleased to be able to choose something different to the usual options offered in other pubs and restaurants. The puddings were delicious … hard to choose as they all sounded so good! The food was fantastic and we can’t wait to return again next. Whether you visit as a family or couple you will not be disappointed.

We visited here today for lunch and it was so lovely. We used to have a caravan on a site close by and haven’t been back for serval years. Last time we were here it was an order at the bar, crab sandwich situation. It’s now a table service eating spot with super friendly and helpful staff with the perfect food for a beach walk pit stop. The interior is warm, pretty and comfortable and possibly the best loos around! My fussy eater 10 year old was in heaven with his bacon bap , so much bacon! and the bucket of chips is a perfect share for 4. Can’t wait to visit again to try some of the bigger dishes. It’s also dog friendly , which was a great bonus. Well done everyone in making our visit a great time .

A last minute birthday celebration booking. 6 of us dining, 5 of us ate off the main menu and I ate from the carvery. Starters and mains for all of us. The nachos are yummy but be warned it’s a large portion. Everyone was really happy with their choices, I can only speak for the carvery. I was given all 3 meats, beef, turkey and pork, whilst the beef was a little chewy they other two meats were lovely. A good selection of vegetables and roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy, my plate was quite full. The meal was lovely, the atmosphere was good, the staff were lovely. We will be back.

We recently hired The Barn for a family party & Rob & his team of amazing staff could not have been more accommodating! From my very first enquiry email through to collecting items the day after the party nothing was too much trouble! Communication was faultless, service on the night was above excellent, we had a lovely girl staffing the bar at all times & another lovely colleague of hers helping when needed…gorgeous girls…so very kind, friendly, chatty & helpful! The food was exceptional, extremely generous portion sizes & the Barn was just the perfect venue for what we wanted, I cannot recommend this place enough…I’m looking for an excuse to through another party now as we can’t wait to return🎉🎉

What a nice cozy pub. Good food at fair prices with friendly staff. I was passing through on my own and called in. I had the homemade pie, carrots, mash and gravy, which was great. Followed by the homemade sticky toffee pudding which was very good too. Wish I lived nearer. Go try it 👍

Wonderful pub! Driven past it a million times but the first time I’ve eaten there. Very nice and warming pub. Sunday carvery is pictured is lovely but we opted for other items on the menu. The garlic prawns were outstanding! Staff were very friendly and the service was quick. I’ll be back soon!

The carvery was excellent with 3 choices of good quality meat very well prepared. One of the widest choices of vegetables I've seen. Service was OK but a bit mixed. Getting drinks was quick and efficient. Settling up the bill for individuals in a group proved problematic. All resolved in the end and prices were real value for money.
