I had a marvellous time here dressed as a skeleton from night of the dead the famous Mexican celebration. The food was on point and I enjoyed leering at the hot girls who had attended the party. In fact, if you are looking for nice food when dressed as a skeleton I would say there's no better a place. Dress code seems a little strict but I'm glad I got in. I would have died if I had been rejected.

Maya Lounge is a great spot for a relaxed evening. The shisha was excellent, and the customer service was top-notch, with a very interactive and attentive waiter. The entertainment, featuring a belly dancer, was average but still enjoyable and added a fun vibe to the night. Watching people in their element was definitely entertaining too. Overall, a pleasant experience!

If you're searching for the ultimate spot to cure a hangover or simply want to party your weekend away, look no further! This place is beyond amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the incredible customer service delivered by Mr. Sharath and Mr. Hussain—these two went above and beyond, making sure every detail of our experience was absolutely perfect. The food? Out of this world! Every bite was packed with flavor and left us wanting more. The shisha? Simply mind-blowing—the best we've ever had! And then there’s the belly dance performance… words honestly don’t do it justice. It was mesmerizing, energetic, and the highlight of the night. If you’re hunting for the perfect weekend party destination, this place should be at the very top of your list. Amazing vibes, tasty food, fantastic entertainment, and service that truly stands out—what more could you ask for?

The staff were lovely and the venue was gorgeous!! When me & my friends went to take pictures, the man working there offered to take them for us. When he wasn’t available, Even the DJ (Edward?) was nice enough to take them for us although he didn’t seem too happy haha. The food was nice if not a little cold but it was very busy. The entertainment was fun, we enjoyed watching the belly dancers. (We went on a friday from around 8pm-12!) Honestly I would love to visit often but unfortunately quite a drive away from where i’m based. Anyway would def recommend especially if you want a fun girls night out or for a birthday dinner setting.

Em's Coffee
1336 High Rd, London N20 9HJ, UK | Cafe P: 020 8445 8353
Rating: 4.2 (421) Price Level:
I recently visited Ems Coffee and had an incredible experience! The American pancakes were absolutely amazing—fluffy, light, and perfectly cooked. I also had a hot chocolate, which had just the right balance of sweetness. The perfect pairing for an early afternoon. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious comfort food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
Rating: 5 / 5
I have been going to Em's for years as it is near to where I live, and having tried all the local competition around Whetstone, I can honestly say Em's is number one. The menu is versatile and offers a wide array of breakfast, brunch and lunch options - hot and cold. I am partial to the American pancakes which are light, fluffy and cooked to perfection - which is difficult to achieve (trust me I've tried!). The English breakfast which also has a vegetarian option also offers a generous portion as does the organic smoothie bowl. The lattes are also one of the main reasons I love Em's which are thick, creamy and rich. The best thing about Em's is that it is a family run cafe, and the customers are treated as such. It is a fixture in the local community with the same faces coming and going. Shout out to Serge who always looks after us and treats us so well. The place is always full which is testament to its popularity. I'd recommend to anyone passing through the area.

Brilliant food - from the big breakfast to the smoothie bowls, all is delicious. Great drinks too - tea, coffee, smoothies! Amazing staff and ambience, highly recommend

Enjoyed a very nice brunch at Em's. The freshly squeezed orange juice is generous. Some of our party had the big breakfast - a full plate of cooked breakfast. I had Em's special, an onion, tomato, mushroom, lamb mince, spinach and poached egg dish. It was delicious and very filling. Staff were friendly and efficient, but didn't hurry us to leave as soon as we'd finished.

Excellent service, really nice food and they actually made our iced coffee exactly how we’ve asked and was superb! A bit noisy outside because of the traffic but can’t do anything about it. 👏👏

Rating: 4.4 (575) Price Level:
Fantastic customer service and attentive staff. brilliant selection of wine, cocktails and other alcohol drinks.we enjoyed alcohol drinks, desert wine and club sandwich which was really fulfilling and generous portion. Long Island iced tea cocktail and Italian dessert wine Visciolata were delicious. Kat who kindly served us was very knowledgeable about their menu and we very much liked her recommendations. Julius, the owner, is very humble and welcoming. It was our first time and we really enjoyed it. Nice ambience whether you just want to have a drink at the bar or dine. I liked the setting. We would definitely go back.
Rating: 4 / 5
I personally like the atmosphere and service. In terms of food quality, we have only tried the Steak sandwich and chicken roast, so it’s a bit early to provide a full comment on the food. I will try more dishes since I was generally happy with my previous orders. So this review and score will be updated. Stay tuned folks!

This place serves food not just satisfying to the taste buds but also healthy options. We got our order just in a few minutes and taste like home cooked meal 🤌 Service very good, professional and not excessively engaging. 🫰 Meal portions just adequate 👌 Highly recommend!

Attended a joint 60th birthday celebration. The event was held in a space separate from the main restaurant (also bland in decor relying on large planters) with neutral decor, not really giving an atmosphere of any kind but relying on table decorations. Staff are professional, and the service provided is of a high standard. Food is of exceptional quality, and care is also taken when presented at the table. Parking is on the street, which on a Sunday is less of a challenge, being able to park on single yellow lines.

Good Fortune Club - Whetstone
1174 High Rd, London N20 0LH, UK | Chinese Restaurant P: 020 3302 5885
Rating: 4.4 (157) Price Level:
I ordered some dimsum and other dishes via Deliveroo. The dishes including dimsum, are good, despite the restaurant looking small, just slightly bigger than the traditional Chinese takeaway. Authentic but expensive. Ok if ordering with a discount offer via any apps. Still recommend it locally, if you don't want to venture to China Town. (Ignore my stars for the atmosphere as I cannot comment, as it was a delivery order!)
Rating: 5 / 5
Awesome Chinese food, super fresh and great service. Bright clean atmosphere. Dim Sum was ace and sweet n sour dishes were amazing.
Rating: 5 / 5
I came here for dinner with friends last night. I really wanted to try this place as i love dim sum, and to find a local dim sum place was exciting. They make their dim sum in house and i saw they do a nice lunch time menu. We managed to get a table at 8.45pm on a friday without booking. The staff were very good, they were friendly, very fast with the service and they gave us complimentary prawn crackers at the start of the meal. We order 2 dim sum items the har gau and the cheong fun. Both we're delicious and near to the standard in china town. We ordered the seafood fried rice, beef ho fun noodles, pak choi and the rost duck. They all tasted great with the stand out dishes being the duck and noodles for me. The standard of the food was high, and prices were similar to other local Chinese restaurants the dum sum was cheaper then the one in bang bang in Colindale. Definitely one of my favourite local Chinese. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the lunch time special menu. Update coming for the lunch time special. You get 2 courses for £12.95, we order the hot nd spicy soup & the won ton soup to start with a sai mai and cheng fun off the dim sum menu to start with. The soups were delicious with lots of ingredients and the dims sum was light and juicy. For the mains we ordered the beef ho fun and the ox seafood noodles. Both had an extra £1 supplement but were definitely worth it. The sea food had lots of ingredients and were really good. We found out the dim sum gets a 20% discount at lunch times monday to Thursday. I'm definitely coming back for the lunch time offer.

Our party of 3 adults and 4 young children visited the Ealing branch for dinner. The service, atmosphere and food were all top quality. We had a very delightful meal and our guests were also very impressed. The Beef Ho-Fun and Malaysian Curry was probably the best we have tasted, with the chef's exceptional skills in mastering the wok-hei of these dishes. We had sesame ice-cream and mango-grapefruit dessert to end the day. We would definitely drive here for dinner again!

Eventually got time to leave comment here after a month :) I’ve been spent several weekends with my family and friend. This is a very lovely place to chill with family and friend. They made super delicious dim sum. 1. The siu mai is my favourite, this is the best and most special one in London as it contained mushroom inside with a good portion of the mix of pork and prawn (Mushroom is a MUST!) which truly reflect the taste of Cantonese and Hong Kong food. 2. Egg tart is filled with sweet egg mix :), lovely piece! 3. Chicken dumplings - the texture of the dumpling is amazing and definitely a crafted one with a bit of complicated experience with chewy and crispy, the content inside is juicy and fresh 4. Red Date pudding with ginger brown sugar syrup (limited edition) - The best one I have ever try and (I guess) not everywhere can try this pudding as it is not easy to make it tasty! Hope the shop can keep it up with this sincere craftsmanship of making dim sum because this is the secret of keeping customer miss your food and want to come for almost every weekend !! 😍😍Cheers!!!😆

My go to Italian place in north London. Been coming for years and love it more than your Mayfair spots. Great quality food, tasty, excellent value for money, service is brilliant. Can’t recommend it enough.

24 of us came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Good food and friendly, helpful service. Clearly very popular as it was packed on a cold Friday evening. Lots of choice on the menu.
Rating: 5 / 5
An authentic Italian restaurant. We have been coming to Cocorico for over 5 years. Every time we visit the staff is amazingly friendly and authentic. The food, despite a huge menu, is consistent and good. Not an easy challenge for many restaurants. It is always a joy and we will keep coming back.

My first visit for birthday lunch - (kept it discreet) visited on a Monday lunch hour and it was busy which is an excellent sign. We sat outside, however the I had a chance to look in the restaurant and it was bigger than I thought with plush glamourous decor. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and was very attentive to all customers inside and outside. I treated myself to a beautifully flavoured half lobster with linguine. delizioso! Thank you and will surely go again! :-)

Christmas catch up with my friends and couldn't choose a better place ! Very lovely atmosphere and food was excellent . Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
Rating: 4 / 5
Went for a birthday dinner there, the starters and the mains were absolutely delicious! But unfortunately cream brulé and lemon tart for dessert were very disappointing, almost as if they were brought from nearest shop. I was also surprised to read about special birthday treat on the website if you register your details. I've never received any emails about that.

We went for a Sunday roast to this pub for the first time. We roast ordered chicken roast , kids fish and chips with few drinks and desert. Everything was delicious and so fresh. The atmosphere was nice and very cosy. However, the service was a bit slow and It wasn’t busy as we’re there around 6pm. We had to wait quite long between drinks . We wasn’t sure if they would have any roast left but they did and it was a good portion too. They had colouring paper and crayons which kept our little one busy and happy. We have recently moved to the neighbourhood and we are glad that we have this gorgeous pub nearby. Definitely will visit again.

Amazing, food was excellent, Decor is traditional, and the service is exceptional. Outside seating , reasonably priced also. Bread made freshly Infront of you
Rating: 5 / 5
Wonderful food and restaurant and very nice and professional staff. I am so happy they are still around. I was a bit worried when i saw the Finchley one had shut, then last night i went and got a take away from their new location in Whetstone. Enormous amount of food for a very reasonable price. You can take the Iranian out of Persia, but you cant take Persian cuisine off the Iranians menu!!!
Rating: 5 / 5
Excellent restaurant, the best Persian food I’ve ever had! We ordered the lamb skewers and the special chicken. The portion sizes were absolutely humongous and affordable and most importantly delicious! 10/10 would go again, and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The kebabs were good and the portion was pretty decent but there was barely any saffron butter coated on rice which was really disappointing as I had to pay this much for dry rice and not saffron rice.
