We loved this place. It’s well managed, clean and welcoming. Food is proper Italian food with top quality ingredients. The staff is nice and friendly. I can only highly recommend it! By the way, the Tiramisu is the best my partner ever had.

Bocca Bocca is a cosy spot with great pizza and friendly service. We went as a group of three and ordered three different pizzas, all of which were excellent. The crust was crispy and puffy on the outside and light inside. Of the three, the chilli honey pizza was the winner! The service was attentive without being overbearing. We finished off with the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and very moreish. Their Montepulciano by the carafe was a great addition. It’s nice to have a good wine option without needing a whole bottle. Overall, we were really pleased with the experience. Definitely a place we’d visit again for a casual, tasty meal.

The reviews are true. Some seriously tasty pizza, with the most puffiest crust I have ever seen. I actually make pizza including dough myself so know a bit about pizza ! Dog friendly.

I found this place by scrolling on Uber Eats, then picked up a pizza while I was in the area. Great dough and tomato sauce, fair buffalo mozzarella and menu (fried montanarine would be an ideal addition). Pizza is ready in 10-15 minutes, nice venue too.

Superb coffee shop owned by an Algerian gentleman. One of our local favorites for a quick lunch or a coffee outside. I’ve tried the paninis, sandwiches, croissants and pain au chocolats. Everything is perfect. It’s also affordable. Highly recommend. We will be back ! Merci et à bientôt

Very relaxing caffe and friendly staff. Lady was busy, but I did get the hello and a thank you. Hot chocolate was very good. It's very spacious, nicely colour coordinated and feels relaxing. I'd come again. ............... People, judge the quality of food and drinks, if you want hot girls (as some review below me stated), go on Tinder. You should be coming here for food and drinks, not to drool over girls who are working to make a living.

Had a fabulous birthday meal at Figo! We were so well looked after by Aurora and also Lilly and the Manager (sorry! Don't know his name but molto gentile), who were all so welcoming and attentive and made the evening really special. Delicious food, great atmosphere - a really memorable occasion, that even met with the approval of our very discerning Italian guests!

Was walking past and thought we'd go in for a light lunch. It wasn't busy but a nice atmosphere. Food was very good and the ingredients were fresh. Dishes were simple, not overly seasoned but tasty ... the actual food came out at a good pace. There's even an adjacent Figo store to take away some pasta staples and pastries and sweet treat that looked nice but we sadly didn't try. Would come here again.

Saw this on my Instagram feed, and food, decor looked very nice. So thought on our regular outing let's give it a try as they also do shisha which was a plus. This business is upstairs so you do have to buzz in. Inside the restaurant is very spacious so your table will not be right next to the next customers which is very good. Done up nicely, can take your Instagram pictures. Service was very good with the waitress being very atentative. Unfortunately food didn't live up to my expectation. Burger was ok, by friends order of mac and cheese was not edible. The beef brisket strips was bland, the masala chips was the best item by far. I think little improvements to the food will definitely make it a place to go Shisha was good, we know the guy who took our order so this helped as he recommended what flavours to have. There's TV screens around the restaurant, a great plus is the music is not too loud. As this is a fairly new establishment, I think these constructive criticism can help with making improvements. And I don't see why they cannot be a go to place for food and shisha, as they have everything they need to be successful. I have no worries with visiting again and I hope I will to try again.

The North Star

Rating: 4.7 (677) Price Level:

Had a fabulous meal for 6 adults and 2 children at the North Star on Sunday 5th January. The adults had Thai Food and the children had pizza. Food was delicious and the service faultless. All were impressed at the quality of food and reasonable price. Whilst we loved everything the scotch egg, Thai sausage and King Prawn Curry came up tops. The French Chardonnay was a hit as were the beers. Well done to kitchen and bar staff!

Top quality Thai food at this lovely backstreet pub with a village atmosphere, and great real ale and craft beer on tap.

I found this pub on a Google post by My London and am very grateful. I knew the area, we used to call it Leytonstone Village, but didn't know about the pub. You'll see from the pics how attractive both the pub and village are. (Yes I know it's just behind the Green Man roundabout but it's still pretty lovely). The pub is busy and vibrant and they have food, a choice of pizza or Thai, random possibly but oh my. I am a Thailaphile, I made that word up, but I like Thailand very much and I've just enjoyed the best green curry I've had outside of Thailand and better than many I've had in Thailand itself. So terrific food, great location and good old British pub atmos. Who could ask for anything more?

Homies On Donkeys

686 High Rd Leytonstone, Bushwood, London E11 3AA, UK | Mexican Restaurant
P: Not available

Rating: 4.7 (823) Price Level:

Surprisingly busy for a Thursday lunchtime. We were first in but the restaurant soon filled up. Service was bit slow with only one waitress covering the entire restaurant. The Bavette Steak taco was ok; the steak was lovely medium rare but it needed a bit more spice/seasoning. The Bone Marrow and Braised Chuck was excellent and definitely worth going back to get this again. The Tunita Pibil was actually very flavoursome but the cooked tuna texture wasn’t my liking but that’s a personal preference and it still tasted great. Portions size were deceptive and enough to fill us up with just one main (2 tacos each). Wanted to eat more but had no room left. Need to go back again perhaps in the evening when I can imagine the atmosphere would be more lively.

A great addition to Leytonstone - really good Mexican tacos 🌮 and more, with lots of space, very funky designs, and some really good booths for groups to sit in. We ordered three sets of tacos between two of us - tacos come in sets of two, so six tacos in total. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Maybe the tuna could have been better presented - we expected slabs, but the meat was actually broken into fibres, like the pork ones. This is a minor quibble though - looking forward to going again!

We came to Homies on donkeys for an evening meal with friends it is located in the middle of Leytonstone and had a very cool atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, with them taking our food and drinks orders promptly. The tacos were very tasty with a generous amount of fillings in each taco the pulled pork filling and prawn tacos, both tasting particularly good! Negatives are that although the margaritas tasted amazing, the old fashion was quite watered down, and the menu I felt that the menu lacked additional options for food outside of the Tacos.Would recommend this to anyone in the area who is a fan of mexcian food but in particular Tacos.

Heard such good things about this place and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We have been to countless Mexican/taco restaurants/food trucks all over the country and these are some of the best we’ve ever tried. So much filling, full of flavour and good option of non alcoholic drinks including a very different (but amazing) spicy sour cherry, almond and vanilla slush that comes in a cocktail glass 🌶️🍸

Amazing smash burger, and would highly recommend the tater tots too! Good selection of beer, great that they had local star brewers Gravity Well on tap when I was there! Of course it’s dog friendly too which is always great. Only slight negative was that our prebooked table was seated right in the middle with people who were standing drinking and talking loudly right next to it. Must have been a big group who had finished eating. Asked to move and was moved no problem though, but probably shouldn’t have been put there at all.

We photographed a wedding reception at the Leytonstone Tavern in March and it was amazing. A great pub with a really nice atmosphere. The space itself was really nice and interesting to photograph. The staff were amazing, no issues all night and as a vendor we were really well looked after. The food was great. If you think that this is the type of venue that would suit your style of wedding then don't hesitate to enquire. We would happily recommend them and hope to visit again in the future.
