I recently visited a charming English cafe, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with cozy seating and lovely decor that captured the essence of a traditional English cafe. The menu offered a fantastic selection of classic English fare, including breakfast items, sandwiches, and of course, a variety of teas. I opted for a traditional English breakfast, and it was hearty and satisfying. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage and bacon were flavorful, and the toast was fresh and crispy. I also couldn’t resist trying a slice of homemade cake, which was simply divine—moist and rich with flavor. The cafe’s selection of teas was impressive, and I enjoyed a perfectly brewed Earl Grey that complemented my meal beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed while also providing helpful recommendations. Overall, this English cafe is a hidden gem, perfect for a cozy meal or a relaxing afternoon tea. I can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu!

Had a decent breakfast at Cafe Phillies. It’s a cute little place in Kensington with plenty of options for lunch. I tried both the Croque Monsieur and omelette with feta and tomato and both were average tasting as I didn’t feel they were unique. The pancakes were quite good though and the berries were fresh and flavorful. However, I am not rushing to go back

I came here on my birthday for breakfast and it was a lovely experience. It’s very cozy and welcoming vibes from the staff. I ordered scrambled egg with smoked salmon on avocado toast. The eggs were nicely cooked. This definitely a good place to relax and have breakfast.

Very nice breakfast, poached eggs were very good. Maybe the mushrooms could be cooked a bit less. Very good service. 5/5

I stopped by today to get an iced coffee with oat milk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience so much better. The coffee itself was absolutely delicious, definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. I’ll absolutely be returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others. As someone who is neurodivergent and sometimes struggles with social interactions, I really appreciated how comfortable the staff made me feel when I was ordering. I didn’t feel awkward at all, and that made such a difference. Thank you for such a positive experience! ☺️

Lovely place. Not many seats especially if a customer hogs 2 seats by sitting rather anti-socially at the seats facing the window 😅 Loved the banana cake with chocolate frosting. At first bite it was a tad dry however on the second bite it became delicious. The latte was so delicious and the milk froth was perfect. Coffee was extracted amazingly and no bitterness or sourness was detected at all. The lady who was manning the cafe (the only staff) was very warm and friendly, smiling. Will be back, God-Willing!

Lovely cafe with amazing food! We got the avocado and salmon on toast with scrambled eggs on the side, I highly recommend this combination for a filling and delicious brunch option. Their coffee and smoothies are also a must try, as well as their classic tiramisu. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location and atmosphere is great, we’ll definitely be back for more!

It was lovely going there for a nice brunch. The place is very chill, and it's got such a good atmosphere and everyone is so sweet really, God bless. Truly enjoyed it. Absolutely recommend, if you are looking for a comfy spot to have brunch that is smaller and not overcrowded. ❤️❤️❤️

This place is still great as ever. We hadn’t visited in way too long and popped in this evening for the Christmas tasting menu. Inventive and exciting dishes were served by an attentive staff. Cozy anytime, but especially around the holidays, The Shed does not disappoint. A great culinary experience all around.

This has to be my favorite dinner night of the year ❤️ Getting locked out of the flat turned out to be an unexpected gift for both me and the silly~ The atmosphere, the food, and the company made it truly special. He enjoyed it so much, and I couldn’t have been happier to spend time with him like this❤️ Highly recommend this spot for a romantic dinner!

The food here is creative, fresh and completely delicious. Anyone that has anything to say about British food should come here first. Our mains were the beef and the venison which were tender and flavourful, although my unexpected favourite was the Jerusalem artichoke tart. The service was attentive and friendly (I quite like the staff uniforms. They go well with the theme!). The atmosphere really felt like a converted aesthetic garden shed. It’s was warm and inviting, and complemented the food. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food. Love the concept of small, large and medium plates! Felt like we were eating a tasting menu with most dishes very well made. Attentive service from Kia. The marmite cigars were tasty and creative. Although I'm not a fan of goats cheese, the tarts with a burst of honey were amazing. Enjoyed the small pasta portion, perfect size when you want to try several dishes and great variety. Worth leaving room for dessert, was spoilt for choice with the lemon tart being light, zingy and refreshing. Broad bean hummus was fairly bland and mackerel wasn't anything special but wowed by everything else. Old fashioned banana rum cocktail was delicious!

The food was nice. The popcorn was amazing! The side was great as well. But the service was absolutely great! Special thanks to Cat. This lovely lady who takes great care of us even in busy periods. She always checks on us. Thank you Cat ❣️

I like the concept with the simple steak menu. The popcorn appetiser was addictive and the steak itself was cooked well. The free brown butter ice cream was a nice way to end the meal. Staff was friendly, greeting and bidding us farewell as we walked through. I’ve been to a couple other locations before and can say that the quality and experience are consistent. I’d be happy to eat at Flat Iron again.

Visited Flat Iron a week ago for a date night. It was an amazing atmosphere from the very beginning. We had a reservation, so we were waiting for our table to be cleared. We had salted Popcorn placed on the table as a pre-starter. I ordered steak off the menu, but my partner ordered the steak of the day, which was also very tasty! All dishes ordered were full of flavour and I thought portion sizes were also very decent for the price and location. To end our experience with a bang, we were offered ice cream upon exit, which was very nice and creamy! Despite it being minus degrees outside, it was refreshing. 100% recommend, and I will be back soon!

The pub was among others that had been suggested to me, so it was chance that I went. It was a good choice: Really nice welcome, good service and good food. The piece of cod for my fish and chips was one large piece, and the appel crumble dessert was good. And I did not have to choose between ice cream and custard - I got both. And I like the beer too
Rating: 4 / 5
Great menu, beers and service. We made a reservation and there was a nice ‘reserved’ note on our table with flowers. My wife absolutely loved the fish and chips too! I got the chicken/pork pie and it also quite good. The mash were superb as were the peas (I’m from the states!). Great selection of drafts too. Staff were quite pleasant and helpful too!

Arrived 45 minutes early for 12:45 booking and had no trouble being sat or staff being put out because we were early. We received excellent service and the food was top notch! We came specifically to try the Sunday roast, fish & chips, and sticky toffee pudding. So delicious!
Rating: 4 / 5
We loved this restaurant! The food was amazing, especially the classic Fish n' Chips, served in a gourmet way, the burger was amazing. Booking ahead is a good idea as it gets busy quickly. The service was alright - friendly and fast with our meals, although we had to remind them a few times about our dessert order. Overall, although the price can be a little bit high, we recommend visiting for a taste of classic London. 🍽

Came here as the place we were staying at didn’t offer any breakfast my bfs friend wanted to try an English breakfast. I got the Healthy option which tasted very nice and fresh. Do wish it was a little bit bigger as the Full Monty wasn’t much more and looked a lot bigger

I’ve visited this cafe twice in the last few weeks, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area! Every meal I’ve had here has been delicious and filling. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are so lovely! It’s clear this place is loved by locals, as there’s always plenty of regulars stopping by. If you’re in Kensington, definitely pay this cafe a visit!

Lovely atmosphere with exceptional food that's both halal-friendly and worth every penny. The staff were incredibly considerate of our dietary requirements. Special thanks to the kind server Rahat, who was so attentive and made our experience even better. Would definitely come again 😊😊
Rating: 4 / 5
The food at Como Garden was great! I had the roast chicken, which was flavorful and filling. There are plenty of halal options on the menu, which is a big plus. The tiramisu was the highlight of the meal; I’d come back just for that. The vanilla coffee, however, was overly sweet and not to my taste. The interior is beautifully designed, with lush greenery, warm lighting, and cozy wicker lamps creating a stylish and inviting setting. However, we visited around 2 PM, and the atmosphere felt too quiet-music was barely audible, which made conversations feel loud. Service was prompt, and the presentation of the dishes was excellent. The exterior is charming with its vibrant red awning and fairy lights, adding to the overall appeal. A lovely spot for a meal, though a livelier atmosphere would enhance the experience.

While the food was enjoyable, particularly the starters. I was somewhat disappointed by the overall setting. The restaurant felt a bit cramped with too many tables, lacking a distinct character. Additionally, although the service was friendly, we found ourselves requesting tap water multiple times. While bottled water was promptly provided, it would have been appreciated if the tap water had been more readily available. Regarding the main course, the rabbit was delicious, but the confit duck was unfortunately quite dry. The dessert selection also felt a bit limited for our taste. Overall, I would say that the food quality was superior to the surroundings. The service was friendly and efficient, and the view outside was pleasant. However, I believe that the restaurant could benefit from a more refined atmosphere and improved amenities. Despite these minor criticisms, I found the prices to be very reasonable for this part of London.

It is one of the most beautiful restaurants we have been. Good ambience, service and atmosphere. Fantastic beautiful setting with white table linen cloth. Value for money matches the location and its service as well as the good quality food and cocktails they create and serve. One thing however was they accidentally overcharged us, when we called about this they listened and invited us to their lovely bar, which I liked as that signifies their respect to their customers. We did not get time to go but amazing gesture! Highly recommend.

Had lunch with 4 friends last Friday. We had Polish vodka based cocktails (very strong but delicious!) We ordered the set lunch menu 2 courses £24 or 3 courses £29. It was all very delicious and filling. I recommend the Seabream from the set lunch menu, but my friends had chicken Kiev & and Schnitzel, which were equally delicious. Beautiful classy decor and ambience throughout. Excellent customer service from all the attentive staff! There's also a covered terrace outside overlooking the park. Lovely treat, and I will definitely visit again..

Another little gem added to our list of favourites! We had lunch here and the Ruben bagel was totally delicious. The Americanos were top quality as well. We have passed here regularly in the past but will be stopping here regularly in the future. 2 Americanos, a Ruben bagel and tuna salad on ciabatta came to £18.20. Friendly staff and good service!
