Went to Old Harry Rocks, after the walk we stopped off at Joe's cafe South beach with lovely peaceful beach views, ordered 2 cheese burgers and an Americano and a latte £24, food and service was good, I could have had another coffee as it was small and morish, home made onion relish was yummy too 😍 would recommend after a lovely walk xxx

I arrived before the cafe opened but was given such a warm welcome by Josie and her mum. The whole atmosphere was extremely friendly and beautiful. The views were that good you could have been anywhere in the world. On top of that the food was really good and not overpriced. Everyone needs to visit this place!!!!

We visited during the last Wareham Wednesday event and despite being very busy we had a lovely meal from a friendly team. It was Steak night and my Wife and I had a rump steak and steak burger. Both were cooked as we asked and very tasty. Excellent value all round and we'll be back.

We were recommended to eat lunch here at The Duke of Wellington by one of the locals we met in the street. Great value, piping hot food, served promptly and with a friendly smile! Thank you especially to Susie who made my mum and dad feel very welcome. The ham, egg and chips were really tasty as was the scampi. Lagers and beer were also great! We all really enjoyed our delicious food and a nice window seat. We will definitely visit again and recommend this super pub!

The Haven Ferry Cafe

165 Banks Rd, Sandbanks, Poole BH13 7QJ, UK | Cafe
P: 01202 707723

Rating: 4.5 (329) Price Level:

Haven Ferry Cafe is located right by the Ferry. I chose to dine in but there are also takeaway options available. A welcoming team helped me with the menu options for vegetarian and gluten free. I chose the Vegetarian Breakfast; it was nicely done, a good fulfilling portion to start the day. I had black tea ( Yorkshire) with it. There are options of cakes. The place is very cute, cosy, clean and obviously well looked after. They are also playing nice songs. You have wi-fi available. Enjoy!

This place has survived the property developers and remains the authentic little cafe it's always been. Proper fresh cooked cafe food. Friendly locals. Great prepackaged cakes, sandwiches and drinks for picnics. Dog friendly with tables inside and outside. Loos next door. Park up and enjoy the view!

Popped in for an 'emergency' late lunch (3:30pm!) after being on the beach - friendly helpful service and the food exceeded my expectations. Prices are very reasonable (especially for the area). We had hotdogs, chips and baked potatoes with tuna mayo and salad- all good. Thank you!!

Friendly welcoming staff that couldn't do enough for you. The food was well presented, and very tasty- The Timmy (fish finger sandwich )was delicious, one of the best I've had. The decor was spot on and there was so many things to look at. The latte was slightly watery tasting- but minor compared to the experience overall. A new favourite.

Literally had the best afternoon tea I’ve ever eaten this weekend and I’ve eaten lots over the years, which is why I felt so compelled to write a review to spread the word! I’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. The food is always incredible and super fresh, there’s always lots of specials and the menu choice offers something for everyone. The staff and atmosphere really do make this place extra special, you feel very welcomed and an added bonus they absolutely love dogs. We are so lucky to have such a superb spot like this in Dorset.

Great location, best for Sunday outdoor coffee. Unfortunately, they have stopped serving brunch before 11am, so to share the food experience you have to be a very early bird. I would definitely recommend visiting, coffee and the view is very good.

Wonderful place, sitting in the covered outdoor area overlooking the harbour. Service is relaxed and friendly. It's certainly not "Fast Food", but then in this lovely relaxed environment, who cares! Some lovely fish dishes on the menu and for three of us having a main and dessert with a bottle of wine and a pint of Doom Bar the bill just broke the £100 barrier. Food was excellent and we were lucky, the sun shone and we had a lovely lunch. Bare in mind that prices of each dish is cheaper by a pound or two if you are a member of the club.

Absolutely love coming here! Whenever my partner and I feel like going out for lunch, we always opt for Bay Leaf Cafe! This is such a gem on a busy main road. The people are lovely, and the food never fails to disappoint! My partner is a particular fan of the belly buster and eggs benedict, whereas I prefer the paninis and omelette (which is huge and better than others that I've tried at different establishments!) The coffee is amazing, and the milkshakes are impressive! We continue to come here and continue to love it ♥️

I had a really good lunch here last Saturday, just me on a terrace table watching the world go by... first time in Poole! Excellent food, with super friendly and efficient service from Lucy and Charlotte who definitely deserve a shout out. Scallops and Chorizo starter, Moules Mariniere main and a shamefully rich Sundae to finish, I could barely stand up.... Great place, highly recommended!!

Amazing food, highly recommend the halloumi wrap or the quiche. Friendly staff although service was a little slow, however it was busy so to be expected to an extent. I have been before but my friend had not and we both enjoyed our lunch. She was impressed with the choice of food and teas/coffees and loved the ambience. My rarebit was tasty and she said her fish quiche was delicious but a very generous portion that she couldn't finish. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We will certainly be back.

An incredible hidden gem! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Having a large booking they rang the day before to confirm brought over extra chairs when required as well. The food was incredible the portions don’t look big but I left so full and having had the best time! The dishes were so aesthetically pleasing to the eye and had one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Only criticism is for the scones more jam and cream required on the afternoon teas but it was still delicious nonetheless.

This was my second visit. I was way across the other side of the borough but I had to suffer the heat on the buses to get to this place. It was worth the discomfort. I can say without shadow of any doubt that this was the the nicest lasagne I have had in a long while. The staff are always friendly and I'm greeted and seated right away. My food was ordered quickly with no fuss. It arrived after not too long of a wait. If you're looking for a great meal of any size I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to you.

Birthday breakfast with my daughter, first time here but it most definitely won't be the last time I come here as its amazing. Breakfast was so delicious, so flavoursome and fresh and the egg was cooked to perfection, I'm normally funny with eggs but these eggs were just divine. My only criticism is to have the toast the same time as the breakfast, but I will ask for that to happen next time I order.... #SeeYouSoon. 😊

Without a doubt this is the eating gem of Poole High street. The range and quality of food is excellent, it is hot and fresh, and always very quick. The staff are efficient and friendly whenever we visit and the desserts are gorgeous. I would highly recommend this for singles, couples or families. The children's menu is also very good. The smoothies and milkshakes are a favourite with our kids and the tea is good too. Give it a try!
