Quint's Retreat

We love visiting Quints. The fish finger wraps are the best around and Jo is a lovely host who always makes you feel welcome . Lovely views to enjoy across the creek too.
Rating: 5 / 5
Fabulous little hidden gem! Quirky, unique and very interesting. Great, relaxed atmosphere and lovely, friendly service. Well worth a visit :-). Only had a delicious latte and soft drink but will certainly be back if in the area again :-)
Rating: 5 / 5
Quint’s Retreat is totally unique. I honestly don’t think there is another place like it on the planet. It’s a magnificently brilliant and fascinating and cute and interesting little cafe beyond Standard Quay just before you head out to the countryside, full of memorabilia from the film Jaws - which, if you grew up in the 80s like me was a staple part of growing up. But that’s not why you go here. You go to see the lovely JoJo and because she makes the BEST. SOUP. EVER. Who knew leek and potato soup could taste that good?! Such a brilliant experience that I’m grateful to have on my doorstep.
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely little find after a chance recommendation. Small menu and just filter coffee, which was nice but I loved the quirkiness of it. Had a relaxing time in a little sun trap and a wonderful cheese toasty. Would definitely go back again if I was in the area.
Rating: 5 / 5
Loved it here, popped in with my young son who’s obsessed with Jaws and boats. He had a hot chocolate with all the ‘trimmings’ and we shared a delicious carrot cake and I had a good coffee. The location is very special, right on the creek, a really nice atmosphere. The owner was friendly and despite being busy with orders was really quick. Looking forward to our next visit.

Rating: 4.9 (41) Price Level:
Best Burger I’ve ever had personally, even made me a special Spicy Sauce ! lovely Chips too, overall just Exquisite Service & Dining ! 👍
Rating: 5 / 5
It is lovely here. The burgers are delicious. I got the plain burger with cheese in but my dad got the burger with bacon and cheese inside and all the extras and with the special sauce. That burger also looked delicious and he said it was lovely. Lovely spot by the quay with nice views and lovely dog walks. Also lots of shops for antiques around it. All together a very nice spot. I would highly recommend coming here and I am definitely coming back.
Rating: 5 / 5
Great tasty burgers ( best I've eaten) and fries especially the truffle parmesan fries. Why the hell would people want a MD in Faversham when you can get a proper burger here? Sunny evening on the quayside, what could be better?
Rating: 5 / 5
A true hidden gem of Faversham which is unbelievable and unique in every way. Absolutely fantastic experience, outstanding service and lovely staff who were amazing around my toddler. The burger and fries were like something of what you would find in New York with its classic taste that I’ll be coming back for within the next few weeks. Would strongly recommend it to anyone local or visiting the area, especially for the amazing views of the creek and boats from where you can sit from outside the establishment. Thanks again to the staff and also to George Forward the manager who made our day extra special.

Rating: 4.5 (557) Price Level:
Absolutely sensational Sunday lunch. The best I’ve ever had. Belly of pork was cooked to perfection. The portions are big. The service is 5 star and the ambience is perfect for a country pub. A must visit!
Rating: 5 / 5
An excellent pub with friendly, helpful, efficient staff. We popped in for a drink after attending the funeral of a friend, so I can't comment on food. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. There was a good choice of real ale available, the one I tried was in superb condition. There's a well laid-out, large car park, too. Recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
We were 15 and were looked after so well. It was busy but timed managed so service was excellent 👍
Rating: 5 / 5
The staff were friendly. The food was amazing and a very gluten-free friendly menu. It is dog-friendly too and with a big car park and live music in the garden.

Just recently enjoyed a first class Sunday lunch. Everything was perfectly cooked and portion sizes generous. The service was excellent and all staff couldn't have been more helpful. All in a beautiful 14th century pub set in an idyllic location, will definitely return.

The Dove
Plumpudding Ln, Dargate, Faversham ME13 9HB, UK | Bar P: 01227 751085
Rating: 4.7 (283) Price Level:
A very nice meal. Starters were excellent. Both my wife and I felt the chicken main was too large but tasty. Dessert was very good. There are better options around at this price point, but a very enjoyable meal.
Rating: 5 / 5
One of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. The turkey was moist and succulent, and the roast potato’s were beautifully crisp with a fluffy interior. I could eat the red cabbage in a bowl on its own. I would highly recommend going here for a roast. Don’t let the price put you off, the food is delicious and the portion sizes are very generous! The atmosphere in the pub was nice and really pleasant to have a lovely meal in. I would definitely go back on a Sunday for a roast, or a meal in the week.
Rating: 5 / 5
No words can sufficiently describe the Dove! Incredible food, the flavours were absolutely superb. 3 courses of excellent food. The service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. Lovely atmosphere, well styled. Highly recommended and can’t wait to go back.
Rating: 5 / 5
It was brilliant here. We came for my dads birthday and it was lovely. The car park was quite small but there were free spaces. On the outside the pud looked really nice and it was even better on the inside. We first had some complimentary bread which was nice and for starters we had the tacos. For main I had the lamb dish, which was lovely and delicious. My dad had the chicken dish which they said was also delicious. For dessert we had the eaten mess, which was amazing. The atmosphere here was really nice and the staff were kind and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend coming here.
Rating: 5 / 5
The food here was delicious and big...like OMG big! We dined here in April and I opted for the sunday lunch. I opted for the turkey, which was moist and flavoursome. Served with x5 massive roasted potato, veggies, and yorkshire. We opted for additions of piggy in blankets and extra gravy. Their homemade gravy jus was blooming marvellous! It was very reasonable priced at £22 as the portions were huge! It was a shame they didn't offer cauliflower cheese every week - as its my fav! Apparently, it's a special now and again. Staff were friendly and polite, cute pub about x50 covers can be done in one sitting inside and a bar to chill at too. Beautiful large outside area, with stunning wisteria growing. I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer to try more of their lunch menus while in the sunshine! It also has its own carpark. Recommend by a friend and now recommending to you. We loved it, you won't be disappointed!

Truly some of the best food I have eaten for a long time, you really have To try the home made steak and kidney pudding. No Fandango sauces or arty farty presentation, a wonderful suet filled experience you'll not forget.
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic cosy little family run pub. Delicious home cooked food. Friendly staff. We were staying at Painters Farm Campsite just a 5 min walk away and had a delicious evening meal, and a lunchtime drink here. The steak and kidney pudding was one of the best I've ever had!
Rating: 5 / 5
We stayed at the local camp site and thought we would give it a try for lunch. Nothing prepared us for the wonderful meal we had. Started off with a baked Camembert to share, followed by what can only be described as the best steak and kidney pudding we’d ever had. Portion sizes were also very generous so much so that we couldn’t fit in dinner that night. To add to this, we were able to take our dog with us. Staff were very friendly. A good experience all round and we would highly recommend.
Rating: 5 / 5
We had the Christmas Lunch yesterday. There were 20 of us and it was all absolutely excellent. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful and all dietary needs were catered for.The vegetables were all freshly cooked. The staff were amazing. I cannot rate this lovely resteraunt enough.

I came here for a Sunday lunch and it was lovely. I went with the pork loin roast and it was deliciously moist. The roast potato’s were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As a special they had cheese leeks for a side which I tried as well. They were absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend getting them. The whole meal was great value for money and the prices are very reasonable for what you get!

We had a wonderful experience here. The staff were all helpful and extremely friendly. Although the menu is not extensive, you won't be disappointed. We went for the pork Belly, and Boy was it good & Cooked to perfection. We highly recommend a visit and would definitely go again if in the area. Thank you to All at The Dairy.

This is a long awaited review! I visited here a long while ago with my boyfriend and family and I just haven’t stopped thinking about it. We travelled up here from strood as a special visit as we saw the place on google come up as one of the best restaurants near me. So we made the trip and it was more than worth it. The food was incredible, it was so hot and tasty I would honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The restaurant is also so beautiful and has a lovely feel to it, and the staff make this even better they are so kind and welcoming and provide great service, I definitely will make a point if coming back here when I can as it lived up to beyond my expectations. I have to add in, the scotch egg was unbelievable, although I didn’t take a second to photograph it, it wad the best scotch egg I have ever tasted, I 100% recommend it!

Café Guild

Rating: 4.6 (54) Price Level:
A great addition to Faversham, Cafe Guild serves great food. We have had breakfast, light lunch and cakes. Eggs Benedict is always a favourite and the staff are refreshingly welcoming so will definitely be coming back. 👍
Rating: 5 / 5
A lovely little cafe in the heart of Faversham. The staff and owners are alway so welcoming and attentive. Fantastic Gluten Free range which is rare to find with an independently run establishment. Our son is partial to a ham sandwich and enjoys the generous filling of freshly cut ham. So pleased this is on our doorstep.
Rating: 5 / 5
Yesterday, my husband and I had lunch at this cafe for the first time. We were immediately impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They were very welcoming, knowledgeable re their menu and products and nothing appearing to be too much trouble. The quality of the food was very good for the reasonable price. The cafe being very clean, light and airy with pleasant, but not too loud, background music. Unfortunately we don't live in this part of the country otherwise we would be regular customers. One of the owners, who introduced herself as Hazel, to ensure the food etc was all we wanted it to be, was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this cafe and would highly rate it.
Rating: 5 / 5
Nice bright and clean ambiance. Pretty inside. Friendly table service. Lots of choices including pancakes and French toast!!! We only came in for coffee and of course we needed to have the apple pie and nata! Had a nice relaxed coffee after exploring the area. Apple pie to take away and one of the slices barely made it to the car! Will definitely come back again to try the other stuff in the menu!
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely little cafe with fun 50s music playing at just the right level so we could still talk easily. We had hot salt beef and dill pickle sandwiches served with crisps and salad, they were delicious! My husband had a cappuccino and I had a pot of tea and proper china cup and saucer. This place is fabulous and we'll be back for cake next time we're in the area!

The Quay

Rating: 4.7 (162) Price Level:
Fabulous meal at the Quay with family. Booked at short notice for special pie and drink night. It was super and they catered brilliantly for me as a gluten free diner. Even made a special menu to choose. Food presentation outstanding. Definitely would return when in the area again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Popped into this little pub for a drink - location is a bit off-centre for Faversham, down toward the quayside behind the big brewery - but really only a couple of minutes away from Market Street and the bustle of the town centre. Nice place inside, more spacious than it appears, with a bar in the centre and tables in areas to either side. Didn’t eat on this occasion, but the food menu looked excellent and they have good reviews, so will come back to try. The beer was Peroni; as it was and as it should be. The atmosphere was nice, relatively quiet and relaxed. Chill. Overall decent and well worth a visit.
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic meal at the Quay Food was really nice, lovely atmosphere and service excellent. We had starter (both had duck), main course (I had the pork belly and my wife had the cod) and dessert (pistachio cake for me and lemon posset for my wife) and all were beautiful presented and tastes delicious. Will definitely be going back again and would definitely recommend
Rating: 5 / 5
Popped in for the 10 course tapas, the food is impeccable, the bar staff and front of house are very friendly and attentive, music tonight from Adrian Hackford is just creating the most wonderful of atmosphere’s. In Summary an exemplary example of a very well run establishment. Always look forward to returning. 10 courses & 10 ⭐️

Nice traditional pub and relatively spacious restaurant offering a rotating selection of real ales and very good food - my go to eatery in the town. They have managed to get the balance right between the restaurant and pub, therefore whether you are eating or drinking (or both) you will not be disappointed. Staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Music early most Sunday evenings

What an absolute gem of a pub. Great food, lovely garden, fabulous menu and really, really good food. Top, friendly service from Clare/ Claire, the owner.
