A private exclusive club with two courses, Old and the New, both top 100 courses. Getting to play one of these course is tough and expensive, but if you get the chance, do it.
Rating: 4 / 5
Both courses are fantastic, the old course is my preference all staff in the clubhouse and pro shop are very helpful and friendly. The sandwiche I had at lunch was awful
Rating: 5 / 5
An amazing venue, played the new course which is probably one of the best courses I’ve played to date. If you get the opportunity I would advise you go!

Amazing experience. A fun and interesting course requiring accuracy off the tee as many fairways are quite narrow and the Heather brutal in places. Off the yellow tees I found it a little easier than I was expecting with alot of hazards and bunkers easily able to be carried and taken out of play. Greens were pure and fair with not too many huge undulations to navigate. Bunkers were pristine. Fairways magnificent

What makes a golf course a great course? Its so personal for many of us but arriving at the course at New Zealand it just looks epic. It looks like Woburn meets Sunningdale. The club house is quaint and classy, small and personal heaped with history it looks like it hasn't been updated since it was built and that's its charm. New Zealand is my idea of a perfect inland course, huge pine trees lining most of the fairways with heather ready to scoop you up if you stray off the fairways. The greens are fantastic but slower than expected. The half way house is positioned strategically after the par 3 8th where we met Trevor who helped us maximise our golf for the day by suggesting we head up the 14th and loop back round, you can play all day if you wish and many of the people we met had indeed played two rounds. It is a course that will definitly leave you wanting to play it more so having the ability to play as much as you like was great. Stopping for a pint afterwards we had to try New Zealands own beer served of course in an old fashioned beer glass, I love it.

This is a club steeped in history. Sir A Conan Doyle a past member among others who's names still adorn the lockers. The course is in fantastic condition, and is a true test of golf with gorse and heather lined fairways and greens that run true and fast. If you ever get the chance.....play it, you will not be disappointed.

Nice little golf club with a course harder than you would expect from a first view. The heather is deep and rough! Quiet little clubhouse with a nice rural feel.
Rating: 5 / 5
Brilliant Course and Clubhouse The history and atmosphere of the clubhouse make for a special day and the course is undoubtedly amongst the best in England. We were made to feel very welcome, especially at the half way house ☺️.

Super Courses, both well worth a visit

What an absolute gem of a Golf Club. Was fortunate enough to tagalong with a connection and managed to play the blue course and half of the red course. Course was in immaculate condition and was a great test of Golf. Really hoping I can come back here one day.
Rating: 5 / 5
I was really looking forward to playing The Berkshire which had come highly recommended. It did not disappoint at all from the moment you drive through the gates you know this is a special place. The staff are very welcoming, food is excellent, practice facilities excellent and the course was in pristine condition and a real credit to the greens staff. We played the red course which was perfect and can’t wait to return to play the blue course.
Rating: 5 / 5
Two beautiful courses the Red and Blue, Red has 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s. Both course will challenge you regardless of handicap.
Rating: 5 / 5
My second visit to the Berkshire but only the first time playing the Blue course and wow! I think I might actually prefer it to the red which I know is controversial. Both are exceptional. The condition was amazing and every which way you look is just beautiful tree lined golf course. Can’t rate this course enough, it’s simply a must play.

Had a great time with 2 hours of golf with my Dad. Great experience with that Trackman technology. We were able to do 18 holes and fantastic food and drink. Will return!

A great idea with British weather to keep up with my golf. I highly recommend Pitch for a catch up with friends, cocktails by Roger are delicious. I will be using Pitch regularly.

Highly recommend Pitch as a unique experience, the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, I am a beginner at golf and was not very confident but that really was not a problem at Pitch all levels are welcome Thank you Roger and Alini for giving me the confidence to join in

Just had a great hour of golf at Pitch City. Loving the Trackman system. Roger and Aline as staff were fun and engaging to chat with. I will be organising my office event there and back soon as I just work over at 100 Liverpool Street.

It’s a nice place. The staff were friendly. The drinks are nice too. We were missing some irons. Would have been nice to have a few more options in terms of equipment to use. Booking is definitely recommended.

Great course, facilities and clubhouse. A few challenging holes, especially visually over water. Accurate driving is paramount with the rough/fescue being fairly pronounced. Weather comes into play big time due to its location and being exposed to elements. Make sure to get a buggy as distance from green to the next tee is generally far. Definitely one to revisit. The pro shop is well stocked and the food is pretty decent.

Played on the excellent Heritage course in the Pro Am. A very challenging course with some interesting holes. The condition cannot be faulted in any way (maybe the rough a little high 😆). Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. A great experience.

I held my son’s Christening here and it was perfect. The room looked beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough. The food was delicious, many people commented on how lovely the spread was. I had a finger buffet with both hot and cold food. We were so lucky with the weather so we could enjoy the terrace overlooking the beautifully kept golf course. Thank you to all the staff for all their help in the preparation of the event, much appreciated. I would definitely hold other occasions here again.

Open golf course with picturesque views, undulating fairways and challenging greens. Staff was very accommodating in helping me book from overseas. Greens were in great shape. Had a blast hope to come back again.
Rating: 5 / 5
We played in the middle of Jan. Course played very well for the time of year. Fairways and greens were a little wet but not unduly so. There had been a few dry days prior admittedly, but on the day there was a heavy fog earlier in the morning. With that caveated, I think the course is very well maintained and will play even better in the summer. Great definitely for winter and we will be back. Greens are slow (could be the conditions), fairly decently sized. All Tee boxes and cart paths (a bit muddy and some puddles, but) were in good condition. The course does not have a huge number of hazards; difficulty is in some elevations and mounds/ bunkers on all fairways, and a fair number of trees (which will make play tougher with the foliage in summer). Restaurant and changing rooms and toilets were well maintained. Sandwich and chips were tasty and well prepared. All in all a great course. 5946 yards from the yellow tees. 71 par. Slope rating of 130.

We managed to bag a hot deal playing the course for a subsidised rate. I’d come back and wholeheartedly pay the full fee and more. Great course and very forgiving.

Had our wedding here in October 2024 and I cannot recommend enough. The events team were amazing, helpful and accommodating and couldn't do enough to assist in making our day megical. Emma and Linda especially were fantastic and are amazing people. Woldingham is very reasonably priced and a beautiful venue. We shall miss getting married here and thank you for everything xx

One of the most beautiful and spectacular courses in England, and by extension, in Europe. Perfectly groomed as it is, even in winter conditions it offers a fine challenge to play. Club house and restaurant have held up very well to their highly regarded reputation. Always a pleasure to be invited to play here.
Rating: 5 / 5
This is by far the Best Golf Course in Surrey exclusive to its members. Staff are great and always attend to their guest with a smile. They go the extra mile to make sure everything is on par. If you are lucky enough to play here you would understand the benefits. Keep up the brilliant work.
Rating: 5 / 5
If you are invited as a guest, just go and enjoy. The club is understated and simply gorgeous. Caddys are as good as it gets. The 4 hour walk is terrific and, oh yes, the course is interesting and perfectly maintained. I borrowed a set of clubs and they were so good I would have bought them but for the shipping back to Palm Beach.
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic venue. Top course in Europe. You play with a caddy and they are very much needed. Course was stunning. From the moment you get there to the time you leave its a golfers dream.

Originally, was going to say much more than "Play here if you possibly can..." but there is more. This is one of the finest courses - 27 holes - I have played. OK, some of the trees have been cut back, presumably to speed up play, and the greens can be mercurial but overall the course is better managed in the last 2 years than ever. The post-play drink on the terrace on a summer evening is delightful - Exquisite golf in secluded Surrey - Quintessential Britain #4

Amazing place to play, course was in very good condition despite recent weather (frost wind and rain). We played in 25th winds gusting up to 45 so was a challenging round but very enjoyable. Would love to come back and play again in the future!

top class Heathland golf course, spectacular clubhouse, is there a better terrace in golf?

Fantastic golf course. In great condition with true greens and immaculate fairways. Beautiful clubhouse full of history, and good food and drink choices. Members and staff are very welcoming to visitors.

Stunning course set in beautiful surroundings. Course condition was good, excellent greens and tee boxes, fairways had a few bare patches. Clubhouse is a great place to be and the service is excellent. Played the red and blue 9's. Great mix of holes and a nice change in elevation to keep you on your toes....!

Great stay. Very professional and friendly service from Abbey the receptionist. The breakfast was delicious. The only thing letting it down was that if they are going to start selling as a hotel, there is no separate spa or swimming facility for guests only. Also, the rooms do appear as if they need a little refurbishment. Overall , lovely stay, staff were nice and there are enough facilities for a short break.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Fox Hill last year, and I’m just now getting around to writing this review! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly professional, helpful, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is charming, with so much to do on-site, including swimming, tennis, or simply unwinding in the spa. If you enjoy afternoon tea, I can’t recommend it enough—it was truly exquisite. We also dined at the a la carte restaurant, and the food was nothing short of amazing, with impressive attention to detail. Breakfast was another highlight, offering plenty of choices, and the cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious. Overall, we had an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend Fox Hill to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Played the charming Par 3 Manor course. Was in good condition, only a few pairs playing, a great way to perfect your short game. They serve a great pint of regular Guinness, none of that 'cold or extra cold' rubbish 😄
Rating: 4 / 5
The hotel is lovely the grounds are stunning, the spa facilities are excellent. The rooms could do with a little upgrading, the shower pressure wasn't very powerful, no sofa in executive room to sit on as in photos. Service was hit and miss - but it didn't ruin our overall stay.

Played at this course today. Team very welcoming - both pro shop and bar. Challenging course but a lovely day to play. Course in good condition. Would love to play again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Friendly and helpful staff in the pro shop set us off on our first visit with a smile and some advice regarding course layout and the bar staff were great afterwards. Great course with lovely greens and hidden thick grass hazards dotted in inconspicuous places. Nice use of water on a few holes makes you swallow your pride and think about how to play the hole to your strengths (made me realise I don’t have any lol). Would definitely revisit.
Rating: 4 / 5
Was pleasantly surprised with just how good condition the tee boxes, fairways and greens were. Especially considering the recent weather and the football. The pro shop seemed welcoming, the bunkers were GUR due to heavy rain but I would say this place is fantastic value. Not the longest course but it’s still challenges any parts of your game.
Rating: 5 / 5
Four of us visited on a weekday morning and were not disappointed despite the very mixed weather conditions! The course is a decent challenge. Lots of mixtures of dog leg lefts, dog leg rights, short par 3s, long par 3s, decent length par 4s and a few juicy par 5s. The 90 degree dog leg left 4th hole was a quirky highlight! The staff were very welcoming and helped us with a few local tips before setting off. Although mainly dry, it started off wet and ended in pretty torrential rain, but the course handled the extremities really well! The greens were pretty heavily sanded (to be expected with the amount of rain) but were still pretty decent all things considered and offered a pretty good roll. Will definitely be coming back - in hopefully better weather - to give it another go! Well worth a visit.
