Found by chance when perusing the menu of a more expensive establishment. Inside was too busy for nine of us but in the small yet quaint courtyard we managed to shuffle a few tables together to accommodate our needs. The food was delicious and reasonably priced... the pot of tea was enormous and required a strong arm to lift and pour! The staff were very friendly especially one gentleman in particular who instigated much banter. Would definitely visit again... highly recommended.

Lovely electricians, managed to squeeze me in last minute after I was let down by another local company. I needed the lights and the extractor fan in my new teeny downstairs toilet to be connected before building regs could be signed off, and it was done the very next day with no fuss. They also added new sockets to my utility room as I couldn't use the washing machine and dishwasher at the same time with the old ones that were already in place, as the lights all tripped. The guys were clean and tidied up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again when the next stage of renovations start. Thanks

Rob has done a number of awkward works for us over the last year. He's a great communicator, and went above and beyond to create solutions for some tricky issues with our G2 listed property, which others couldn't figure out. He's always on time, cleans up at end of day, professional, and checks with us if he's found a better, or better value, alternative for the work we had in mind. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Excellent pints of Palmers IPA straight from the barrel. This is a temporary arrangement, it's usually on hand pump. I enjoyed the experience of eating an extremely good steak, mushroom & ale pie, chips, peas & gravy from a cardboard box. I would say, however, that gravy and cardboard boxes aren't necessarily a good mix. Pleasant garden.

Came across this pub by accident and so glad we did. Greeted with a big smile by the landlord who fitted us in for an excellent lunch. Huge portions great value in a real village pub with friendly locals and staff. Marvellous!

Carl and team recently upgraded my PV system adding 10 more panels, an extra battery and upgraded my invertor from a 3.68kw to a 8.8kw. He initially installed a 10 panel system last year so it made sense to invite him back to for the upgrade. The install went very smoothly, no hiccups and no delays. can defiantly recommend Evolution.

Carl and the team did a fantastic job the installation was so professional and they are all really friendly and helpful every thing was explained before the installation went ahead and then when they had finished Carl explained what we needed to do to make the best use of our solar panels and if we had any questions after we could contact him, looking forward to receiving the drone footage they also took. Carl and his team from Evolution Electrical installed our Solar System, the service we received was excellent from start to finish and we highly recommend this company. 18 months after supporting the installation of my Solar array with SunSynk inverter and battery, Evolution Electrical came back to install an additional SunSynk battery. Carl and Otis arrived as expected and swiftly got on with mounting and wiring the new battery in. Great install with absolutely no fuss or problems. The additional battery will better support the way in which the use of our solar system has evolved since it was initially installed. Great job, with thanks.

Carl fitted our sunsynk inverter and battery with great care ensuring the positioning of both met our requirements, the cables were all routed invisibly so not be intrusive! His attention to detail and explanation of how the system worked was excellent. He also provided excellent after care service when I wanted help with some of the settings to get the maximum from the system. Highly recommend him.

Really pleased with the work carried out to install 2 x extractors and a PIV unit. The work was much more involved than first thought, and the poor guy was working in our loft on the hottest day of the year! But he returned a second day to finish up and the original price was honoured. A pleasure having you in our home and feeling the benefits of the extractors and PIV as soon as they were turned on!

Polite and curteous staff. Leo and his team did an excellent job with a partial re wire and addition of new sockets throughout the property. We were so impressed we recommended his firm to a neighbour who had an ongoing issue with a fault causing the system to trip.She had tried several different companies but none actually resolved the issue. UPDATE: Since I wrote the review below, Board Cafe have started doing food, and it is excellent. The sourdough pizzas are among the best we've had anywhere. You're here for the games, and they have a super selection of quality games in very good condition. You want to be guided in how to play new ones, and the staff are genuine enthusiasts and generous in the help they offer. You'll sustain yourself with decent drinks at a good price, and they've got that covered - the coffee is barista quality, and friends who like that sort of thing said they love the milkshakes. There are alcoholic treats, too ... perhaps for customers who aren't as competitive as us! They are building a kitchen upstairs to do food in future, and in the meantime they have been inventive with the cake selection and snack menu. We got the "three bowls for £5" offer this time - sour jelly sweets, chocolate buttons and Doritos, which helps create a party atmosphere. We've been here with a group of 10, twice in a group of 4 and today as a couple, and each time we've had a great experience (see picture of Wingspan, a lovely game based on the idea of building a bird reserve). Book your table in advance - this is a very popular place.

This was an incredibly fun and entertaining experience. They have every board game you could possibly want from quick casual games to prolonged involved experiences. The food is also good and sold at very reasonable prices. I can wholeheartedly endorse this location and I will be returning in the future.

Great experience learning some new games with the staff speeding up the process by explaining the basic rules to us. Incredibly delicious pizzas - classic options like pepperoni and BBQ chicken and other more unique ones such as Mediterranean and spinach and mushroom. Booking is a must as it's a very popular venue and 3 hours is recommended as the time flies!!

Every now and then, you actually have a recommendation that is actually perfect .went into the pursuit of hoppiness in the high Street bridport git chatting to the barman about food his first place was the dorshi hidden up a alleyway beside the bull pub .so went over to look found a great little Asian mix restaurant booked a table for 7.30 .when we arrived we were greeted but a friendly face and the chef who's cooking by the door .so we started with a local beer and saki .food wise we had dumplings with pork and ginger and steamed dumplings pepper chicken then the angry pig bowl then soy bean salad .and finished with steamed shiitake mushroom dumplings. WOW 👌 that's all I'm saying .chef your underpaid all the staff are excellent. Go here you will not be Disappointed. 🙂

Came here during our bank holiday weekend escape from London, and what a gem it turned out to be. It’s tucked away in a little alleyway but easy to find. We were seated in the downstairs bar area which has a mix of high and low seating, with just the right balance of cozy and charming. I didn’t catch our waiter’s name but I believe he’s one of the managers. His service was impeccable from start to finish. We loved all the food but the charred pork belly is a must try. You can truly taste how much love goes into every dish. We got to have a chat with the chef, Brendan. His warmth and passion for his craft shone through, making us feel incredibly welcome. The folks at Dorshi genuinely care about and love what they do, and that made for an amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

This is mine and my partner's favourite restaurant. It was recommended to us a few years ago by the owner of another one of our favourite restaurants in Birmingham, when he heard we'd be holidaying in Dorset. It does not disappoint! The restaurant itself is well decorated with cosy isolated booths upstairs, ideal for couples or small groups. The branding is unique and well thought out, using a nice green across menus, decals and merch as well as fun iconography that feels authentic to their South East Asian roots. This is often overlooked by a lot of independent restaurants. The food is delicious across the board with complex flavours and textures. I couldn't name anything I tried that would rank below a 7/10. Our first visit we sampled everything we could with helpful recommendations from the staff. Crispy fried fennel with crab mayo being a personal highlight for us. So much so we (unsuccessfully) tried to make it ourselves at home. Originally when we came the menu felt like a South East Asian tapas with a diverse selection of small plates. However on our most recent visit the menu has been streamlined towards a more typical starter and main arrangement. The starters being a tasty array of steamed or fried dumplings and the mains being either a noodle or rice bowl, with the addition of some small side plates. I'd be lying to say that this wasn't a little disappointing but given the current cost of living crisis and increasing supply costs for independent businesses I can totally understand why they would switch to this approach. It certainly won't deter me from returning and I can only hope that one day they bring back my beloved crispy fennel.

I only found this secret gem by chance. It's at the Cob end of the harbour, nestled amongst the shops, with a tunnel - like entrance. The coffee is the best I've tasted All week! Wow! Plus it had that gorgeous real coffee Aroma! The home made soup and granary bread was delicious, and filling. Plus the staff and service were friendly and helpful, without being intrusive, Bless. My only disappointment was that I only discovered it on my last day. I'm so glad, I didn't pass by.
