Absolutely awesome food and fantastic service even got balloons and a candle in my dessert as well for my birthday dinner
Rating: 5 / 5
a really good Italian restaurant! Me and my girlfriend went out eating tonight and had a great time. The team and the food was amazing I recommend it to anyone it’s a better alternative than the old granary or the quay INN in my opinion! Also recommend to book a table instead of just walking in in the evening
Rating: 5 / 5
Really delicious food I can tell special care has been taken and I didn’t mind waiting. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere.

The Italian Kitchen is the perfect spot to dine and unwind. They serve stunning, high-quality food at great prices. The service is impeccable—every staff member is helpful, attentive, and genuinely happy to assist. We’ve loved every meal we’ve ever had there. They even serve homemade bread while you wait for your starter or main course, which is a lovely touch. Whether it’s for a date night or a corporate works meal, The Italian Kitchen never disappoints. The quality has never faltered or wavered—it’s truly the best Italian restaurant we’ve ever experienced. We highly recommend a visit! Would recommend the squid starter, spicy nduja pizza's and the creamy tuscan chicken are some of our personal favourites!

The Cowshed Dorset
Huntick Rd, Lytchett Minster, Poole BH16 6BA, UK | Cafe P: 01202 631030
Rating: 4.6 (466) Price Level:
We had a baby shower for my sister at The Cow Shed in their Barn area on Saturday, and it was perfect - everything we had hoped for! The staff were so helpful, both in the lead-up to the event and on the actual day. The barn itself is really picturesque, which was perfect for photos. We opted for a cream tea with both sweet and savory scones, and it was lovely. We paid per head for drinks, which guests could get from the private bar as and when they wished. There was plenty of room for games ect too. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the most special afternoon celebrating our new arrival with family and friends. A big thank you to The Cow Shed Team 🤍

Had the pleasure of visiting here last Sunday we arrived just after 10 and there were already quite a few people here. Offered seating inside or out, we ordered coffees which were very good and then I chose the homemade granola bowl which was absolutely delicious (it was also huge!) my husband chose the Mexican open flatbread which looked amazing, which he said was really good. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, Amazing ambience and Great service. There was no waiting time, even though the place was filled on a Wednesday morning 10am. Great bunch of ppl running the place. The cowshed breakfast was a delight. The hash browns was one of the best i have tried in UK. Overall, it is highly recommended.

First visit to the restaurant. I was very impressed with our server, who suggested we could move to the adjacent barn where it would be leas noisy. He was right. It was😎. Food quality was excellent. Also, I was very impressed with the general cleanliness. Toilets were immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place. 👍

Absolutely delicious food -unfortunately our pictures do not make justice of it! We would definitely recommend the mix seafood main, it was divine! The roast pork was also cooked to perfection and came with all the trimmings. Lovely friendly staff, we will definitely come back again!

We had all dinner here after getting married at Poole registry office and we cannot speak hardly enough of the place. It was absolutely outstanding – from the service and warm welcome to the delicious food. We love to eat out and have been to countless restaurants across the UK and this place is one of our favourites! Highly recommended.

Lunch. An award-winning seafood & grill restaurant in the heart of Old Town, Poole. For lunch you have the option of a set 2 or 3 course. Or their A la carte, which we chose from. Starters Barbers 1833 vintage Cheddar cheese souffle, finished with double cream. £11. Grilled Scallops in the shell, garlic & herb butter.£15.50. Mains Whole Roasted Plaice £28. Served caper herb butter, lemon, samphire & fries. Chef de-boned it for us before serving. Guildhall Tavern Mixed Fish Shellfish Grill £35. A selection of fish simply grilled, with steamed mussels & king prawns in garlic butter and served with fries, samphire, bearnaise sauce. The food was all cooked perfectly and delicious. We didn't have room for dessert.

We had the pleasure of booking the Guildhall Tavern for our wedding lunch reception and we had the most spectacular food and wine pairings topped with the best service. Our guests absolutely enjoyed the menu that was curated for the occasion by the chef. We are still raving about the food almost a month later. Also, if you're there please do try the English Sparkling Wine (Champagne) it was divine. Thank you to the Guildhall Tavern team for giving us the best treatment and elevating our dining experience, making our day even more special.

16/8/2024-Friday. My husband treated me to a surprise dinner at The Guildhall Tavern, Poole. The moment I step inside this restaurant. The recognition awards on the wall caught my eyes. As I love to enjoy good food. We both started off with 2 starters each. As we couldn't decide which. The food was superb quality, fresh and nicely done with perfection, and a well-blended taste. The staff were very attentive. We enjoyed every dish that was being served to us from our choice of selection. We definitely came back. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rating: 4.6 (332) Price Level:
We had an amazing lunch here with family. Christian and Lucinda were amazing hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. Food is delicious and perfectly portioned. Lovely interior design and gardens.
Rating: 5 / 5
We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were incredible. Great service and very knowledgeable about the grounds. Christian made us a strong, but very tasty negroni cocktail (as it was Negroni week being celebrated around the world). Food was wonderfully presented and tasted delicious. I couldn't fault it. Beautiful location. Thank you for making our day a bit more special.
Rating: 5 / 5
The most perfect stay at The Priory - I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The service provided was impeccable (attention to detail has been better than a few Michelin star restaurants we have visited) the food was absolutely delicious, we had afternoon tea which was sublime and breakfast on our balcony one morning which was wonderful, the rooms are stunning and the little details like getting a newspaper delivered in the morning is quite lovely. The grounds are also immaculately kept. It is not my first time visiting the priory and certainly won’t be my last, highly recommended! You will not be disappointed.

We went for the Autumn lunch menu in the Garden Room to celebrate my wife's birthday. The moment we stepped inside we were greeted as old friends and this was our first visit! The lunch was superb and the service exceptional. The Priory Hotel should have at least 4 Rosettes. They deserve it. We shall be back since it is the best restaurant in Dorset.

Quay Inn, Wareham
The Quay, Wareham BH20 4LP, UK | Pub P: 01929 552735
Rating: 4.5 (1704) Price Level:
Lovely place to stay, the rooms are situated in a very quaint building above a small shop. The room was up a steep staircase so not suitable if you are unable to climb stairs. But the view from the room was lovely, the room itself was small but clean and tidy with tea making facilities. The pub itself was lovely with very friendly staff who were happy to help in any way, the food both in the evening band at breakfast was great. Thank you to all

I had lunch there today with my sister. She had beef rib and I had the ham, egg and chips. Both were delicious. The chips were the best I've had in a long time. Service was good and staff were quick to clear and wipe down tables.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had an evening meal which was good value and delicious. The best steak I've had in a very long time. Sticky toffee pudding was great too although could have done with an extra blob of ice-cream given how large the portion was.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had a meal here on a day out to Wareham. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. I had a very tasty falafel burger with a glass of Dorset cider, which tasted like real cider! I would recommend.
Rating: 5 / 5
Visit this place every time I'm in Wareham. Good selection of drinks, good menu and lovely staff. Outside seating and right by the river. Tonight was steak night. Quality meat, well presented and you cook it yourself to your liking. Loved the chips and salad. Staff were very busy but outstanding in service and very friendly.

Garden Gate Tea Room
7 North St, Wareham BH20 4AB, UK | Tea House P: 01929 552128
Rating: 4.7 (269) Price Level:
The rain had driven us away from the coast, inland, in search of quiche. It was indeed a "long dark highway and a thin white line" that led us dripping through the welcoming door of the Garden Gate Tea Room. Broad smiles and a green trouser suit greated us, what more could one ask for. The food, delicious, as was the conversation with the wonderfully friendly staff. Return? I certainly hope too.
Rating: 5 / 5
This is one of the best tea rooms I visited in Dorset. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere - all the staff are lovely. We had lunch, and my sausage and onion quiche dish was very generous, freshly cooked, and arrived quickly. Our waiter was superb. Would definitely go back to have more of the dishes from the menu.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had a toasted tuna panini and it came with crisps and salad, my partner had a tuna mayonnaise jacket potato that came with slaw and salad. Service was great and fast, friendly staff. Prices were good and so was the food. Nice atmosphere would defo recommend as a brunch spot!

Great afternoon cream tea. Rear garden a real sun trap with pretty flowers. Scones very light with ample jam and clotted cream. Staff lovely. A real treasure - highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
I was interested to try their savory cream tea. I was a bit worried about how it would taste as I don't like onions that much. But, it was the best decision as I absolutely loved the onion chutney. Though it was almost crowded, I found a nice secluded spot to enjoy this delicious meal. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Wareham.

Went to Old Harry Rocks, after the walk we stopped off at Joe's cafe South beach with lovely peaceful beach views, ordered 2 cheese burgers and an Americano and a latte £24, food and service was good, I could have had another coffee as it was small and morish, home made onion relish was yummy too 😍 would recommend after a lovely walk xxx
Rating: 5 / 5
I arrived before the cafe opened but was given such a warm welcome by Josie and her mum. The whole atmosphere was extremely friendly and beautiful. The views were that good you could have been anywhere in the world. On top of that the food was really good and not overpriced. Everyone needs to visit this place!!!!

I only had an ice cream but it was a delicious Devon cream ice cream. Great location right at the quiet sandy beach. Staff were pleasant and helpful- a lovely chilled atmosphere 👌

So lovely! They put it on the sign that they serve decent coffee but honestly it was one of the best cups of coffee we had in a while!!! The views are spectacular and the service was great. Felt like a rare gem find!

Poole Arms

Rating: 4.7 (1304) Price Level:
Absolutely top marks in all departments. Lovely warm atmosphere, efficient professional service and extremely tasty fish casserole and fish pie. The place was very busy unsurprisingly due to the quality of the experience, so reservations would be recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a really enjoyable lunch with excellent service and food. Very lucky to get a seat as it was so busy but a very nice lady managed to find us a table.
Rating: 5 / 5
Dishes was tasty. Fresh oysters. We had fish pie and haddock pot. It was delicious. Prices reasonable. Better to book in advance if you want to sit inside. But there is outdoor sits as well.
Rating: 4 / 5
The food at Poole arms was so delicious. The portions are huge and you can tell that everything is freshly made. The menu is also really well priced, we had starters, mains and alcoholic drinks for two at around £80. As the pub is so small I would definitely recommend booking. We booked on the day and only had the choice of first or last table as they’re quite popular! It’s very quaint inside but is very old school pub style and not very modern. All of the staff were really friendly so if you are looking for a lovely old pub experience I would thoroughly recommend.

Rating: 4.7 (869) Price Level:
I passed this place dozens of times over the years not knowing about it. today we stopped for a quick breakfast. Friendly service, fast delivery, and low prices. However, the most important thing is the quality of the food, which is also very good. I will definitely come back here again.
Rating: 5 / 5
This was my second visit. I was way across the other side of the borough but I had to suffer the heat on the buses to get to this place. It was worth the discomfort. I can say without shadow of any doubt that this was the the nicest lasagne I have had in a long while. The staff are always friendly and I'm greeted and seated right away. My food was ordered quickly with no fuss. It arrived after not too long of a wait. If you're looking for a great meal of any size I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to you.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Aroma cafe were superb. Exceptionally friendly, welcoming, eager to serve and deliver in customer service. The food is great, good sized portions and fairly priced. Always drop in when I'm over Poole way.
Rating: 5 / 5
Without a doubt this is the eating gem of Poole High street. The range and quality of food is excellent, it is hot and fresh, and always very quick. The staff are efficient and friendly whenever we visit and the desserts are gorgeous. I would highly recommend this for singles, couples or families. The children's menu is also very good. The smoothies and milkshakes are a favourite with our kids and the tea is good too. Give it a try!

Birthday breakfast with my daughter, first time here but it most definitely won't be the last time I come here as its amazing. Breakfast was so delicious, so flavoursome and fresh and the egg was cooked to perfection, I'm normally funny with eggs but these eggs were just divine. My only criticism is to have the toast the same time as the breakfast, but I will ask for that to happen next time I order.... #SeeYouSoon. 😊

Just had an incredible late lunch at Rockfish in Poole! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. The relaxed, coastal atmosphere made it feel like a true getaway, letting us unwind and fully enjoy our meal. The fish was the star of the show, cooked to absolute perfection—so fresh and flavorful. Paired with a delicious cocktail and a crisp, chilled white wine, it was everything we could’ve hoped for. Highly recommend Rockfish for anyone looking for a tasty, laid-back dining experience!

This is a fabulous place. The food is fantastic, and I mean really fantastic. The lobster was the best I have ever eaten, and the other fish dishes are all fresh, well excellently cooked and tasty. The service was excellent too. Friendly, attentive, and unfussy. The only downside is, it's in Poole. If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in Poole, head to this place and it will make it all feel better.
