Love it!!!!! Warm, friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The Sunday roast is simply the best around and the rest of the menu doesn't disappoint either. Turned up an hour early for our booking, but were welcomed like old friends. Would rate higher if I could! ❤️🌟

Fabulous!! Absolutely love it here. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel so welcome, the staff are great (Alex is exceptional) and the food is top notch. Perfect for any occasion. Update 03/11/2024 - amazing as ever, can't fault it. I was devastated to leave a little mash and roast potato as it was so good, maybe shouldn't have had that extra pint before the food came, but that was exceptional too! 🍺 Whoever decided that apricot works on top of a shepherd's pie deserves a Michelin star 🌟 Absolutely unreal 👏 and the rest of the food was great too 👌❤️

Ive recently started having a few pints at the Grapes and have found the staff nothing but very warm and friendly and the pub itself has a really nice atmosphere, wish id have tried this pub years ago!! I dont normally do reviews but read the nonsense review below so felt obliged. I cant comment on the food as ive not tried it yet but it always smells amazing. The garden is a nice place to be and most important of all, of course, the beer is great!!

The staff went an extra mile by accommodating my 2 dogs. The waiter got 2x bowls with cut up sausage for my dogs at no extra cost. So polite, helpful and the food we opted for was class. Presented well and a very tasty light bite.

What a lovely place to eat the main reason being the staff that were very welcoming. I was with a party of 16 we hadn't reserved any tables but it was no problem for the staff to fit us all in. They allowed us to bring a cake to celebrate a birthday & presented it on a stand. Everyone was more than satisfied with the food which was delicious. I'm sure everyone in the walking group will agree that all staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all staff.

Just had the breakfast wrap and all I can say is wow! Arrived supper hot and packed with the most beautiful and best quality ingredients. The bacon was so thick with no fat on and the sausage was one of the best, if not best I’ve ever had. Mushrooms were tasty and the wrap was very well presented. Excellent value for money for the quality of food you get. Didn’t have to wait long for delivery either. Will definitely be ordering one again, soon. Thank you guys. Hats off to the Chef x

The setting is stunning, an old church turned restaurant, beautiful. The food was lovely as always, we had the ravioli to start which was different and tasty, it helps that starter portions are a thing with the pasta/risotto section of the menu. I had a fillet steak for my main meal, it was cooked beautifully - I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Tiramisu for dessert topped the meal off. A lovely attentive team too!

Can't recommend highly enough. I have visited before but first time experiencing the bottomless brunch. Absolutely amazing. The food beautiful and the best cocktails I have ever had. Will most definitely be back. I wish I had got the young waitresses name because she was so attentive and lovely. My cousins 60th birthday treat a great success. Thankyou

This is a lovely restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. The aesthetics are stunning and would be lovely for a romantic date night. The service was lovely and adhered to our needs. The only disappointment where the pork meatballs where raw when they came to the table. They soon remade them and brought a fresh plate, also taking them off the bill. The rest of the food was fresh and tasty

Visited again in July on a Tuesday late afternoon. Updated menu, great food and superb service. Well worth a visit. Visited the Plough on a Wednesday evening around 7pm with a work colleague after a recommendation from my wife. The new layout was excellent with hand sanitizer available on entry along with a track and trace QR code. The waitress was super efficient and the menu provided a superior range of food options thanks to Sean the new manager. Two drinks, two starters and 2 mains for less than £40 proved excellent value for money. I will recommend this pub/restaurant to my friends without hesitation.

Just come back from a really lovely Christmas meal here. The food was good and well presented, and they coped very well with a large party of 30 plus people. I had a smoked salmon starter, followed by a Cajun spiced sweet potato roulade which was an imaginative use of the ingredients, and nicely spiced so it had plenty of kick but wasn't over spiced. The vegetables were well cooked without being overcooked (it's a bugbear of mine that some places serve them almost raw). A very nice dessert of toffee apple crumble cake with custard rounded the meal off, and all washed down with a very respectable bottle of Malbec. The service was good and friendly and the atmosphere was also good. The whole place is clean and it feels roomy and airy - you aren't crammed in cheek by jowel (something else I hate). I will be very happy to return for another meal here - the Sunday lunch menu looks good! Thanks to everyone for a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings.

This local pub is great. All the people from landlord/lady to all other staff they are just great given the pub a really good vibe so friendly. The food is good some of the specials are outstanding. Good value for money as well.

Very accommodating. THANK YOU!!! After being let down by another JW Lees establishment for a 40th Birthday gathering. The Plough were very quick at accommodating what I wanted for my husbands 40th Birthday Family gathering. They allowed us to sit in the private area of the pub and decorate the tables and surrounding space. We ate from the usual menu (as seen online) 22 meals from all areas of the menu and nothing was too much trouble. Starters, mains, desserts and kids menu (including small adjustments) The food was lovey, the Birthday Boy had the mixed grill and he said it was delicious! And I had the salmon, very tasty and very hot! All members of staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. We hope to visit again soon (Maybe a smaller party) Thank you again!

Brilliant Company I enquired about replacement of an old fluorescent strip light in my kitchen plus replacement of a Motion Sensor outside light last week. Dave came on Monday this week to do both jobs. I am delighted with the work. Phase Electrical NW are an exceptional company - responsive and reliable - the electricians are excellent. Found this firm to be very professional. At my house they put in five new double plugs, replaced one faulty double light switch in the hall, and a faulty plug in the bedroom, and put on a new light fitting in the bedroom. They made no mess and cleared away the rubbish, even vacuuming the area they worked in. Very pleased with the standard of work and would highly recommend them.

Highly recommend. Had an electrical issue from previous homeowners which we've spoken to numerous electricians about but unable to diagnose or fix. Phase 8 came out quickly and persisted over 3 visits, diagnosed the issue and fixed it. The two electricians were professional and friendly. The cost was also very reasonable.

Such a lovely atmosphere and cute vibe. I bring my mom to enjoy the afternoon tea and it was perfect. I loved the scone so much. It was fluffy and perfectly match with cream and jam. I also loved the brunch and rest of the cake and tea as well. Definitely recommend🥰

Probably one of the best cafes within NQ! I’ve been a regular for almost a year and the service never fails to disappoint! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They serve the best hot chocolates and probably one of the best brownies within Manchester! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone.

Took advantage of the 50% off food via the app. Lovely meal especially for the price. Service was a bit slow, understandably we had a lot of meat to be cooked but the place was very quiet and I thought 40 mins was a bit long. Just had a very nice meal for lunch, food was very good, portion size fantastic and ours waitress, Chantelle was very friendly and chatty, also seemed very happy doing her job which is always nice to see. Thanks for looking after us. Price was very reasonable. They have a lunch time offer which we will be back to utilise again.

Seen to at the reception desk straight away and seen to at our table by waitress Kiera, lovely polite and attentive with really great customer service and table service She popped back to see how our food was which was delicious. Gorgeous hotel, one of the best for sure!! I stay away for work a lot and this hotel has everything I needed. Easy to get find, has a car park, has beautiful big clean rooms, and has Netflix which was a bonus!! The food is amazing!! You have the choice of two restaurants which both have amazing menus which made it really hard to choose between the two!! And a perfect fry up in the morning. Lastly every staff member we encountered were absolutely lovely and always helpful. Would recommend the royal Toby to anyone staying in the area.

Been here a few times now, most recently for a works Xmas party and the service and atmosphere was exemplary. Staff were courteous and friendly and always happy to help. Place was nice and clean. Would recommend visiting if in the area for a casual drink or some food.

Went to the Valentines Night Dinner last night. The whole experience was absolutely superb. We decided to stay the night and the booking in process ( around 5 pm) was excellent. A lovely, polite young lady on reception welcomed us and fully explained the procedures for the evening. The room was good and the little touch of rose petals and chocolates on our bed was really nice. The Rhydding room was decorated superbly, red heart ❤️ shaped balloons on every table ensured that the feel for the whole evening was set. The entertainment was first class. Thank you Royal Toby for making our Valentines Dinner so memorable. See you next year.

What’s not to love about a cosy pub with log fires, superb dining in the beautiful restaurant or the on site amazing Italian restaurant! The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped . The staff are just amazing !! So kind ,helpful , friendly and accommodating . The best value for money for food , ambience and high quality accommodation . I love my visits here.

Visited for food on a Friday night whilst staying at The Village Hotel. We both had fish and chips. The food was piping hot and so nice. Came here for evening tea with my Fiance and my little 4 year old child. Was served at the bar by a polite bar man called Tom he was well mannered and very polite. I had a carvery my partner tried one of there burger meals and our 4 year old child enjoyed her chicken piecemeal. We later enquired about booking for Christmas dinner later this year as we hear one of the chefs recommend Christmas lunch to another costomer and that they had already began taking orders this year. So we was greeted by the on duty manager called Ash who explained everything to us so why we was there we decided to book there and then for Christmas 2025 dinner. Can I just say that Tom & Ash are a credit to you establishment and we will be back again soon.
