Falcon Cafe

Rating: 4.5 (386) Price Level:

At around 30 covers, can get busy when local runners or others using nearby sports frequent. Kid friendly with lollies, and a stock of high chairs. Hot chocolate, and the milk shakes are our stand out items. Food always hot, and cooked right. Good choices on menu, including build your own breakfast. Toilet downstairs. Accepts card payments. Open Sundays, with free parking close by. If they offered crusty bread, and were a smidge cheaper = five stars. Give it a go

An absolutely wonderful place to eat. The portions are big and filling. The cook was Turkish and once we raised that we’re looking for halal food he was kind enough to ensure that the food was cooked according to our dietary requirements. The staff were overall lovely also. The prices are very convenient. The restaurant is clean and beautifully arranged. There are a variety of options on the menu I think the best part is make your own breakfast which we used, I personally haven’t seen that option everywhere. There is also parking in front of the cafe of which 2 hours is free.

Best, clean, tasty and well cooked breakfast in Medway! I've tried most places too, love a fry up. The Falcon is my go to for sure. Also, best bread too! Great service every time, usually but the same woman. Sweet girl also helps out and clears up, very polite. I know this place is extremely popular with people who do the park run at the lines. Parking is easy as there is an hour/ 2 hour free parking on the road. Open Sundays too, not all cafes are, never understand why. To top it all off, very fair prices. Never had anything but a fry up but seen others have a roast dinner and other dishes that also look and smell amazing.

Great roast lamb dinner looks fantastic and tastes amazing definitely not a standard cafe roast, so nice I’ve actually bothered to leave a review and as no pictures of the roast online thought I would put mine on as I nearly didn’t come here for lack of a picture. Will definitely be coming back here and lovely view of the park while you eat. Hidden gem

Great cafe to stop at. Lots of parking nearby, good choices on the menu and friendly staff. Massive portions and very good prices! Only downside was the coffee wasn’t great. Everything else was really good.

You literally can’t go wrong a Parkwood Cafe. I returned today for the first time in years. To eat the same meal at the same booth as I had the last time I was there. Safe to say they did not disappoint. Though the place is always full to the brim of smiling locals and hungry contractors. There’s always room for a few more.

A true cafe! Sensible pricing and smiley and happy staff! Food tasted good and arrived at the table in a timely manner. The portion size was better than expected! Food was tasty, it was what you would expect from a cafe. I was pleasantly surprised the sausage was like one you would get from a chip shop. The two of us didn't have to wait long for our food to come either. It is also a good price for the amount of food you get

One of the best places to grab lunch in Gillingham 🤩 Guys are always polite and friendly, food is simple but always fresh and tasty. Great choice of things to choose from. The only reason its no 5 stars - they don't take card payments, so always have to rememeber about cash, which is a bit annoying. Recommend to try ✅

Really nice local restaurant. The owners have worked very hard not just to produce quality, authentic Greek food. But also create the warm family friendly environment you get when on holiday there. Would highly recommend. Service was very efficient, even when fully booked and the food and staff were fantastic.

Visited for the first time on Saturday, we didnt book just walked in around lunch time. They were closingbearly for a private event which thry communicated clearly and straight away with their expectations on how long we could stay which was fine by us. The waitress was lovely, attentive, polite and friendly making us feel really welcome. It was clean and tidy and a lovely environment. The food was lovely and a good menu to choose from. Toilet was very clean and spacious. Myself and my mum had a lovely lunch here and will definitely be going back. We didnt have afternoon tea but what we coukd see it looked lovely too! Lovely place to treat yourself to lunch if you want a more upmarket lunch menu for a reasonable price.

I’ve been to many cafes in my time, and I can’t believe we actually have a hidden gem in our local town rainham Kent, @tick.tocksrainham what can I say not only the best presentation I have ever seen when it comes down to a omelette it tasted incredible too, it was creamy and flavoursome, the Char on top of the omelette added amazing flavour, the chips were so nice, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beans just gave it that little bit of flare, I will be definitely coming back with my kids, the prices are really good and affordable, also the staff where amazing so helpful kind and polite, especially towards my kids.

Had a large breakfast and more than happy to swap my tomato for a hash brown. Coffee was very tasty and the staff are great. Having the beans in a glass pot is a great idea! My only disappointment is that the mushrooms were tinned instead of fresh.

We were gifted some vouchers for a treat. What a discovery - set in an old, refurbished industrial building with a contempt atmosphere. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Nice drinks menu with local spirits and wines, and some interesting cocktails including non-alcoholic options.

The pumproom is the perfect place for an occasion. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s honestly worth every penny! We went for our wedding anniversary and had put it on the booking form. They welcomed us with a card on the table, we had a free cocktail and some fudge at the end of the meal too. The staff were lovely and so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We had every course going and the flavours in every part were beautiful. Lots of combinations you wouldn’t necessarily find elsewhere, the bone marrow fondue was our absolute highlight. The cocktails menu is extensive and there’s loads with alcohols from the distillery to choose from. It’s also lovely to have the view out onto the river with Upnor castle in the distance. Such a gem to find in Chatham, we loved it!

We started on the cocktail making class before hand and what an experience, definitely need a taxi after that. Straight into the beautiful restaurant, all the staff were very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Only reason for the 4 stars was they didn't have any oysters and we were looking forward to those but do not let that deter you. Definitely a gem of a place.

I first discovered the Copper Rivet strawberry gin, which I liked so much I researched and found out about the distillery and restaurant along the river in Chatham.. and I had to experience dining at the place that made such a good quality gin. We were not disappointed.. quality cocktails, service and food.. you do pay a bit more but for a special occasion it’s just perfect.. first we had drinks outside with lovely views along the river, and blankets provided in case it gets chilly (we actually had a bit of sun!!).. and then inside the amazing building for dinner.. the food blew us away and my husband told the waitress he wanted to marry the chef 😂 which I totally understood… will definitely go back and look forward to it! And the triple cooked chips which we will have with whatever we order..

Twydall Cafe

16 Twydall Grn, Gillingham ME8 6JY, UK | Cafe
P: 07938 833804

Rating: 4.5 (201) Price Level:

This cafe is easily a 5 as the food is hot, freshly prepared and well presented. I took a star off for the following, but this is only my personal choices and doesn't mean there is anything wrong. I would have liked a better quality sausage, even if it meant only getting one instead of two. The bacon was perfect, well cooked and nice thick slice with not loads of fat like some cafes. My coffee was lovely but again too milky for me, some like it milky, I will get milk seperate next time. Cafe was quite busy and I expected a wait but it came really quick and the staff were lovely. I recommend this cafe and I will come back. You might struggle to park a camper but the carpark is free.
