Well, a lucky find, a short walk away from the shopping area, we had a great breakfast, all good quality produce, which is hard to find these days, staff are fantastic, the chef came out to meet our dog and also brought some bacon pieces for him, a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will be back next time we are Lincoln. On the way out, we purchased 2 ham cheese pies, had one last night, lovely.

If you’re a fan of freshly baked, handmade bread, Bread Vault is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the inviting aroma of bread baking in the oven wraps around you like a warm hug. You can truly taste the difference that hand-kneading and quality ingredients make. The crust is beautifully crisp, while the inside is soft, flavorful, and fresh.

Pair their bread with their homemade spreads, soups, or sandwiches, and you’re in for a treat. The café also offers a cozy ambiance, perfect for enjoying your meal with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea.
Whether you’re grabbing a loaf to take home or enjoying a meal on-site, Bread Vault never disappoints.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the art of handmade bread and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

This place doesn't disappoint! Every time I come here I make an effort to try something different and it's no exaggeration to say all of the food is incredible. What started as a one time coffee and lunch a while ago has turned into a very regular routine. Very friendly staff with an excellent and personable chef. All cooked in house with an obvious amount of care and attention. I would recommend this to anyone with a love of food and quality!

Superlative café , warm , friendly, good ebb and flow of folks and local characters. Good part of town, near the bus and train stations. Harry was front of house working hard. His father popped up to help clear, to check his creations were to standard, which they certainly were.

I had a hot chocolate large which was great, I had a sweet goats cheese pastry, and a spinach and cheese spiral pastry. The spiral was a little disappointing and I might suggest a home made chutney or relish red onion perhaps. Or even a small salad, garnish. The pastry is fine but combining it with a cherry tomato salad, pine nuts meh would take it to a higher level. That said 2 pastries and a hot drink for £8 is a brilliant price..... Excellent VFM.

Later I had a flat white coffee and a wonderful ham cheese and onion Crete take on pizza..wow great combo. Again for just under £10. That's splendid news and worth advertising.

Well curated music , none of which I knew , says more about me than the café.

Thanks for a leisurely lunch on a lovely day in autumn Lincoln.

Just nearby is the walk n ride bus stop that takes you back to the station. Or onwards and upwards to the cathedral.

As a man with complex neurodiversity and disability, I was so very impressed by this restaurant. I find it very difficult, to find suitable venues that tick all my sensory boxes, but The Bread Vault has succeeded.
From the moment I entered, I was struck by the bright and welcoming environment, and the calming sensory outlay of the place.
The location is great, sited just off the main road and close to hotels, train and coach station.
The dining area is open-plan, and easily accessible for wheelchair users. It is a clean, bright and comforting space, with large windows and soft modern ambient classical music, played at just the right volume. The seating is varied, ranging from small bistro tables, to larger couches and tables. It is an accommodating space for children, adults and those with disability.
The owners and service staff made me feel so very welcomed, and I felt no social anxiety whatsoever, even surrounded by other customers.
The food is excellent, and so abundant, for such a small price. For just £10.80, I got the tastiest and largest breakfast I've ever had. It was presented beautifully, and included coffee, several slices of toast, and choice of condiments.
Dietary restrictions are catered for, and the menu seems extensive.
It is clear that the owners are seasoned hospitality professionals, as well as genuinely warm, friendly people. I include the service staff, also, who do a fantastic job.
All in all, I feel this is the best café in Lincoln, and I do not give these type of reviews lightly. I will only ever come here from now on.
Well done, guys. Keep up the excellent work!
Five stars is not enough!
