Despite there being a quiz evening, we were still given a table and the service was lovely, as was the food

Great find in a little village, plenty of parking spaces, food was really good for the price, fresh and tasty. The staff were very friendly and polite. We booked a few weeks in advance and first there at 12noon, they gave us a big table to sit 9 people in a 1 table room.

Stopped off on way home from Hastings having eaten here before and had the sea bream which had been delicious and was hoping to have again. Sadly they had sold out so opted for the avocado, prawn and salmon salad instead which was was very nice and had plenty of prawns and smoked salmon. We also had the chicken, bacon and brie salad which was extremely nice and the kiddies chicken goujons with cheesy chips.

Such a good country pub! So glad some places like this still retain their character and don’t over-modernise. Really friendly staff and great selection of drinks. The apple pie cider is especially good. Can’t recommend this place enough, stop by, you won’t be disappointed. Just wish I lived closer. Thanks again to all the lovely staff.
