Rating: 4.8 (52) Price Level:

Recently opened restaurant offering lots of real (I mean REAL) authentic South Asian cuisine for a reasonable price. They offered really good suggestions on their menu which were tasty and as close as possible to buying from a restaurant in Sri Lanka. The owner suggested some really good cocktails carrying spicy tastes. Great experience and great service. Going to be my favourite place for dinner outs.

Tried this place out after seeing the reviews and wanting to go somewhere new for me. I was not disappointed. The food was very good, however the real outstanding part was the customer service. The owner came out and gave us samples of the dishes we ordered so he could tailor the spice levels more to the liking of the people who ordered it. Exceptional service and very good food, highly recommended

‼️WARNING‼️ Authentic and exceptional Sri Lankan and South Indian food served by the friendliest of staff. First visit tonight, but I think this is going to turn out to be one of my favourite restaurants in the Medway area. 💯 recommended, 💯 coming back!

Fantastic first time ordering takeaway from Sha Masala. The food is outstanding - very authentic Sri Lankan food, which was fresh and bursting with flavour. We were not easy to deliver to due to road closures, yet the restaurant went that extra mile to get our delivery to us. Great service. Great value. Thank you and hope to see you in the restaurant soon.

Booked a table for my brother birthday a few weeks before hand. The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night and turning away walk ins. The food was excellent and the Service was exceptional. Well worth a visit.

As someone who isn't the biggest foodie, I must say that Amore is definitely something to rave about. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was inviting and the service was impeccable, making it a truly memorable experience. We decided to try the ravioli, Napoli pizza, tiramisu, and pistachio dessert, and each dish exceeded our expectations. I have no doubt that all the other items on the menu are prepared to the same high standards as the ones we enjoyed. The flavors were exceptional, and each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. The ravioli was perfectly cooked, the Napoli pizza was bursting with authentic flavors, and the desserts were simply divine. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Considering the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience, the prices are more than reasonable. You will definitely find yourself wanting to come back for more. A more has truly set a high bar for dining experiences, and I can't wait to return to try more of their delicious offerings.

Delicious lunch today. Freshly made pasta with great toppings. Crispy, fresh home made pizzas. It was like walking into a small town restaurant in Italy. Very friendly. Quick service. Dogs welcome in the garden. Brilliant place! We will be back!

Visited recently during the Christmas Market weekend in Rochester which was amazing! I had a lovely service, the restaurant was full but I managed to get a table with no queue which also was a success! Had a wonderful King Prawn starter with garlic and chilli, it's not listed as a starter on the menu but they can prepare one if asked as it's on the main course section. I was very happy with that, wine and tiramisu were excellent, all in all very good place to visit and enjoy great Italian food, Thank you! ☆☆☆☆☆

The Pumproom @ Copper Rivet Distillery

Copper Rivet Distillery, Pump House, No. 5 Maritime Way, Leviathan Way, Chatham ME4 4LP, UK | Bar
P: 01634 931121

Rating: 4.7 (504) Price Level:

I first discovered the Copper Rivet strawberry gin, which I liked so much I researched and found out about the distillery and restaurant along the river in Chatham.. and I had to experience dining at the place that made such a good quality gin. We were not disappointed.. quality cocktails, service and food.. you do pay a bit more but for a special occasion it’s just perfect.. first we had drinks outside with lovely views along the river, and blankets provided in case it gets chilly (we actually had a bit of sun!!).. and then inside the amazing building for dinner.. the food blew us away and my husband told the waitress he wanted to marry the chef 😂 which I totally understood… will definitely go back and look forward to it! And the triple cooked chips which we will have with whatever we order..

Brilliant lunch-time dining experience with highly attentive service, friendly staff and impeccable dishes in a very pleasant dining room. The lunch specials were each very impressive and incredible value for money. The dockyard area nearby was additionally very scenic. Highly recommended, will be back again!

We started on the cocktail making class before hand and what an experience, definitely need a taxi after that. Straight into the beautiful restaurant, all the staff were very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Only reason for the 4 stars was they didn't have any oysters and we were looking forward to those but do not let that deter you. Definitely a gem of a place.

The pumproom is the perfect place for an occasion. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s honestly worth every penny! We went for our wedding anniversary and had put it on the booking form. They welcomed us with a card on the table, we had a free cocktail and some fudge at the end of the meal too. The staff were lovely and so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We had every course going and the flavours in every part were beautiful. Lots of combinations you wouldn’t necessarily find elsewhere, the bone marrow fondue was our absolute highlight. The cocktails menu is extensive and there’s loads with alcohols from the distillery to choose from. It’s also lovely to have the view out onto the river with Upnor castle in the distance. Such a gem to find in Chatham, we loved it!

The Cheese Room Botanicals

P: 01634 845270

Rating: 4.6 (473) Price Level:

Visited on a Sunday for my Daughter’s birthday and had a great time . Large selection on the menu including non cheese . I had British Cheese board , my daughter continental board , Mrs C Camembert and youngest Fish & Chips with some sides was an excellent start. Very extensive drinks menu and we finished with dessert and I have to say the Sticky Toffee pudding was the best I had . For 5 of us including service £180. Staff very friendly and attentive and would definitely visit again .

First time visiting The Cheese Room and it did not disappoint. The menu was a set one 2 course £27 or 3 courses for £34. You could also choose toasted sandwiches and lighter lunches. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to settle down and browse the menu without being interrupted. We had the 2 courses and had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding and amazing potaotes, veg was carrots, parsnip, beetroot and squash all roasted. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is £6 for 2 people. It was lovely to have cauliflower that was cooked and not raw. The pudding we had was out of this world and couldn't fault anything, we had the cheesecake. It was more on the expensive side than i would usually pay, but it was so worth it. Service charge of 10% is automatically added and this is advertised on their website. Was a lovely experience but would recommend booking.

Being a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large. The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry. The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

The service was also good and the staff were pleasant. Would recommend for a different place to eat in the lovely town of Rochester.

Visited for the first time on Saturday, we didnt book just walked in around lunch time. They were closingbearly for a private event which thry communicated clearly and straight away with their expectations on how long we could stay which was fine by us. The waitress was lovely, attentive, polite and friendly making us feel really welcome. It was clean and tidy and a lovely environment. The food was lovely and a good menu to choose from. Toilet was very clean and spacious. Myself and my mum had a lovely lunch here and will definitely be going back. We didnt have afternoon tea but what we coukd see it looked lovely too! Lovely place to treat yourself to lunch if you want a more upmarket lunch menu for a reasonable price.

I’ve been to many cafes in my time, and I can’t believe we actually have a hidden gem in our local town rainham Kent, @tick.tocksrainham what can I say not only the best presentation I have ever seen when it comes down to a omelette it tasted incredible too, it was creamy and flavoursome, the Char on top of the omelette added amazing flavour, the chips were so nice, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beans just gave it that little bit of flare, I will be definitely coming back with my kids, the prices are really good and affordable, also the staff where amazing so helpful kind and polite, especially towards my kids.

Had a large breakfast and more than happy to swap my tomato for a hash brown. Coffee was very tasty and the staff are great. Having the beans in a glass pot is a great idea! My only disappointment is that the mushrooms were tinned instead of fresh.

Went to the Tudor Rose with my father in law one Saturday. We didn’t book and turned up just before the kitchen closed which was a shame but the staff were very nice and told us light bites would be available shortly. They came out with the menus as soon as we could order and the food came out quickly and was very good. We spent quite a few hours there and really enjoyed it. Amazing location, pretty pub, big beer garden, highly recommended.

Located at Kestrel Rd shopping parade. The cafe is friendly and has a nice vibe. It is quite spacious and when I visited there were several occupied tables. The menu is quite extensive and consists of typical cafe fare. Cooked breakfasts, burgers , sandwiches, panini's etc. There are some vegetarian options too. I had a cappuccino which was very nice and to eat a fried egg sandwich. The bread was fresh and the eggs cooked nicely. The prices were fair and an average of what I have seen in the area. 30/09/24: Good breakfast today, for £8.30 you get a huge plate of food. I'm set for the day now.

The Stone Horse Public House

Dillywood Ln, Rochester ME3 8EN, UK | Pub
P: 01634 722046

Rating: 4.6 (311) Price Level:

Was in the area and looking for somewhere nice for a sit down lunch that wasn’t a chain restaurant. We found this place and it was brilliant, a proper pub! Dogs were welcome inside which was good to see, there is a good selection of drinks at the bar and the menu was well stacked and I was spoilt for choice. The food was great, I had the ham egg and chips which came with peas. The portion sizes were more on the generous side (big win) but what let it down was the portion size of the peas, they literally came in a little dish that you would get sauce brought to your table in, you could have shot it down the hatchet in one. Other than that it was brilliant and I will come back again if I am ever in the area.
