The Tickled Trout
2 Bridge St, Wye, Ashford TN25 5EB, UK | Pub P: 01233 812227
Rating: 4.4 (1533) Price Level:
Always good atmosphere and food has always been spot on. Staff are friendly and professional. Relaxed and friendly with beautiful outdoors. The white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee is a must try. The hubby had the Eaton mess which was lovely. I don't typically like them but it was lighter and I enjoyed tasting. The outside has beautiful views but the inside is beautiful too! Clean and presentable bathrooms. The restaurant and bar area are immaculate and clean. I don't ever recall having issues with food quality. By far one of the beautiful hidden little gems.

Perfect pub for a summers day next to the river. Amazing food with a lovely vibe. Kids and dogs can paddle in the river as it's shin deep. Friendly staff too! Inside had a log burner and new but quaint decor with ceiling fairy lights hanging so would be perfect for a winters day also.
Rating: 4 / 5
Experienced the Tickle Trouts roast dinner today, and happy to say its a solid choice for a Sunday dinner. Portion sizes could be more generous for the money. For £20, you'd expect more than 2 roast potatoes. But nevertheless, it all tastes nice. Bacon wrapped stuffing was delicious. Service was great, fast and attentive. Star of the pub is the location. Couldn't find a better beer garden in the local area.
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing food. Good prices, amazing service. Will definitely be back when in the area. Fisherman's pie was absolutely amazing, The steak had some serious flavour, obviously finger licking. Steak Guinness pie, pizzas , starters everything so tasty and good portions as well. Lovely decor and even better garden by the river. Highly recommended!

Probably the best “pub” food we’ve ever had. Honestly, it feels more like restaurant-quality dining than typical pub grub.

What a lovely roast dinner, really enjoyed. Very generous with the portions! Shame no space for a pudding:). Service excellent 👌.

First time here. They serve a decent pint and range of beers and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a homemade Steak & Ale pie which was very good. Karaoke was on so I went to the other end of the pub but the locals seemed to be having a good time.

Welcome back from Lockdown. Great to see that the place has sprung back to life. We enjoyed our meal, the sea bass was cooked perfectly and yes it's still the home of the monster chip. The deserts here are always to die for. Menu is a restricted but thankfully there is a specials board. Thanks, enjoyed the evening.

I recently visited with a friend for their steak night and we weren't disappointed! Service was great (we were served by Jess and a gentleman), food was excellent and so well priced! We came for steak night on another occasion and it was the same! The carvery on a Sunday was also so good! Defo recommend for a cosy welcoming pub!

Seven of us turned up to this busy place without a booking and the guys couldn't do enough for us. Service was a little slow for our mains, but they were well worth the wait. Most of us had the ribs and wings platter....these were enormous portions and they ribs were smoky and delicious, as were the wings. Would definitely come back again!

Designer Outlet Ashford
Kimberley Way, Ashford TN24 0SD, UK | Shopping Mall P: 01233 895940
Rating: 4.3 (18215) Price Level:
Lovely l médium size outlet. The toilets are very clean and nice specially on the end of the outlet. Love the green plants wall mounted give an extra touch. There are some places in there to eat or drink. A bit overpriced for some Of the food. They have a nice looking Starbucks… parking can be chaotic I advise maybe park at the train station is just a short walk to the outlets.
Rating: 5 / 5
Ashford is one of our favourite outlets to visit. Plenty of parking, amazing shops and the staff in all shops are just so friendly and helpful. I took both of my dogs today and I must say, they absolutely loved it. So many shops welcome dogs inside so it’s lovely to be able to shop with your furry friends. Thank you so much 😊
Rating: 5 / 5
The Ashford Designer Outlet is a fantastic shopping destination, offering a wide variety of stores, real bargains, and a pleasant overall experience. Located just off the M20, it’s easily accessible and well-designed to cater to both local shoppers and those traveling from further afield. One of the highlights of this outlet is the great selection of shops. There are a wide range of high-end and popular high-street brands, from fashion to homeware, all offering discounted prices. Whether you’re looking for designer clothing, sportswear, shoes, or gifts, you’re likely to find something that catches your eye. The discounts are substantial, with many items offering savings of up to 70% off, making it a haven for bargain hunters. Brands such as Ralph Lauren, Nike, Calvin Klein, and many more are well-represented, and there’s something for every style and budget. The layout of the outlet is another standout feature. The design is spacious, with plenty of room to move between stores, even during busy weekends. It’s arranged in a circular pattern, making it easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. You can stroll leisurely without needing to retrace your steps. Additionally, the covered walkways are a great touch, providing shelter from the elements while still enjoying the open-air shopping experience. Parking is ample and well-organized, with a large car park that accommodates many visitors. Despite the outlet’s popularity, finding a parking space has never been an issue during my visits. The car park is just a short walk from the main shopping area, which is convenient for anyone carrying multiple bags of bargains. The cleanliness of the outlet is also noteworthy. From the walkways to the restrooms, everything is maintained to a high standard. There are staff frequently seen tidying up, and it’s clear that cleanliness is a priority here. This attention to detail contributes to the overall pleasant shopping experience, making the outlet feel welcoming and well-cared for. Ashford Designer Outlet also offers plenty of places to take a break from shopping, with a good selection of cafés and restaurants scattered throughout. Whether you’re in the mood for a coffee, a quick snack, or a more substantial meal, there are options to suit all tastes. Overall, Ashford Designer Outlet provides a great combination of diverse shopping options, significant discounts, a convenient layout, and clean, well-maintained facilities. It’s an ideal place for a day of shopping, whether you’re hunting for a specific item or just browsing for bargains.
Rating: 4 / 5
Looking for a shopping adventure? Ashford Designer Outlet is the place to be! With a mix of big-name brands and hidden gems, you’ll often find amazing deals. Just be ready for a bit of walking, but don’t worry—there are plenty of benches to rest your feet. When hunger strikes, you’ll have a variety of restaurants and food stands to choose from. It’s a good shopping experience.

Great place to shop and grab some food! My favourite outlet to visit. Normally plenty of parking but they have an overflow carpark that is a short walk away if not. Always recommend to visit here for a good deal! Additionally to this, the kids park is great. Breaks up the shop visits for the kids. The tall climbing frame in the middle is very high and the slide is excellent. My kids loved it.

What a lovely find, in Ashford. Came down for the day, and walked by, and found the cafe. Staff are friendly, cafe was clean. Extensive menu as well. Menu included breakfast, brunch, jacket potatoes and roast dinners. My omlette was lovely. Husband had a Gorge special. He enjoyed it. Drinks were fab too- a hot chocolate and double espresso..Never knew this cafe was here. I'm sure we will be back to visit. :)

The Glass House, Bar & Coffee House

Rating: 4.2 (335) Price Level:
Played here great staff really helpful easy access to the rear via the car park. It's a lovely big stage with a few spot lights. A very good crowd singing and dancing from the start. The main entrance is off the high street straight to the bar. It's a great venue for those who either want to enjoy the band or stand at the back away from the band to chat. On our night, there was also a great DJ. A one-stop pub well worth a visit at any time.

We got kicked out of weatherspoons for having the dog in the garden?!! How stupid some came here and to be absolutely honest we should’ve come here in the first place, such lovely staff we felt so welcomed when we first walked through the door, such a lovely space fantastic vibe so calm but great music, thank you for having us💕

Brilliant place with friendly staff and customers. Very reasonable prices for both food and drinks 🍸 👌 😀 The odd burnt Pizza Crust I can forgive, actually I like it like that but then what would I know? Ciao.. I.e. a lot more than most. Superb venue, right in the heart of Ashford Town centre, providing live music, friendly service and a great atmosphere - this truly is the place to be! It's fabulous to see a venue offering and supporting local beers and wines (Curious Brew, Old Dairy, Ramsgate Brewery, Chapel Down and biddenden to name a few). A plethora of Gin, with over 25 available, accompanied by a range of tonic waters, makes The Glass House a fashionable retreat for all Gin lovers.

Conningbrook - Ashford
Canterbury Rd, Ashford TN24 9QR, UK | Restaurant P: 01233 636863
Rating: 4.1 (1053) Price Level:
We were fortunate to have checked in slightly earlier. Hotel receptionist provided details of the entertainment for the evening, and oasis and Brit pop tribute band. Unfortunately unable to get a table for the evening, understandable with the entertainment so would recommend booking a table at the time of your booking if you're staying. Good selection of drinks in the bar. The rooms are spacious, with all the amenities, iron with board, hairdryer, bath and shower for our room, TV, tea and coffee. Really pleased with our stay and look forward to staying again.

You definitely got to see great team work & service with a smile!!!! (Thank you) I do need to say .......I loved the food choices that were on offer and thank you for accommodating our younger members of the party with the kids menu on such a special night. It's the little touches like this that makes nights like these even more special. George you and your team are amazing Thank you all for giving us another fab night out! We are looking forward to coming to more of your event nights in 2025. Happy New Year!

Although the room we had was a little dated, it was very clean. The furniture was sturdy. The bed was comfy. We needed extra pillows and they were in the cupboard. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of choice. Also the breakfast was cooked individually so it was fresh and hot. The staff are a real asset to the hotel and restaurant. Every single member of staff was so kind and polite, nothing was too much trouble.

We always use the Conningbrook on Christmas eve for our annual family get-together. George reserved a area for us, even provided a suitable chair for my 91 year old dad. We had a fantastic evening, the bar staff were quick and efficient, nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you George and the Conningbrook for another great evening to remember. Would definitely recommend this place as the best in the area for family gatherings.

Harvester Bybrook Barn Ashford Kent
Canterbury Rd, Kennington, Ashford TN24 8QQ, UK | Restaurant P: 01233 663634
Rating: 4.1 (3419) Price Level:
We have just dined at Harvester for a lunchtime snack and I was pleasantly surprised as I have not been in many many years. The restaurant was not overly busy and for myself and a + 1 we was given a spacious 4 seater table rather than a cramped 2 seated table. The food was good for the price as we only had a snack of Chicken Skewers. However, the best part of our visit was our server - Milly. She was absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Milly was very knowledgeable and returned with glasses and salad bowls moments after we ordered. I cannot praise her enough for her attitude, experience and customer relations. I would hope that she receives some recognition for all her hard work and efforts and she has guaranteed that we will return again more frequently.

Went for dinner at 17:00 and was surprised how busy it was already given that's when they are open for dinner. Food arrived relatively quickly though. Waiting staff - whilst helpful are fairly busy so if you have any queries try and ask all in one go as you may be waiting a while before they manage to come back

Went for breakfast on 3 consecutive mornings. Lovely lady served us on first 2 mornings. She was friendly and did a good job. On the Fri, she was off. The woman who was in charge that morning sighed when we asked for a table. Was totally opposite to previous mornings. She obviously wanted breakfast over and didn't want any more customers in. Breakfasts were very nice. My partner loved the fruit and pancakes each morning. The classic breakfast was also good. Nice to have a choice on how to have the eggs. Shame about the lady in charge on the Fri.

I visit the restaurant quite a bit with family and friends and I must say that being ‘unhappy’ with either food or service hardly ever happens. Sometimes the salad bar could do with refreshing and cleaning a little more often. Today we had Sam.L and as always her level of service and friendliness is impeccable. This lady works incredibly hard, has many tables to look after and yet NEVER makes you feel that you are having to wait or being rushed. There are a few servers that regularly work here that make the visit more enjoyable. This is down to their fantastic personalities and how they look after us. Please look after these and all of your staff members Harvester and make them feel appreciated as they are the back bone to the restaurant. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to my next visit. Only quibble please cut up the peppers more on the salad cart as the pieces are huge.
