Hindhead Golf Club
The Clubhouse, Churt Rd, Hindhead GU26 6HX, UK | Sports Club P: 01428 604614
Rating: 4.8 (163) Price Level:
Very good golf course and club. Last time I played the greens were glass table quick making any approach above the hole virtually impossible to two putt. Always enjoyable walk through the valleys with a further collection of very strong holes on the plateau for the back 9. Keep your ball out the heather if you can. When it gets long it can be a real card wrecker. Both times I’ve had lunch here it’s been Michelin guide worthy. Great day out if you get the invite. Few better courses in Surrey.
Rating: 5 / 5
First and foremost, Hindhead is a must play golf course. It's different in a brilliant way. The front nine is rather unique and quite frankly exceptional to experience and play. I've played nothing quite like it in the UK, in fact anywhere. It left be breathless in more ways than one at times :). The back nine isn't quite as dramatic, but once again, it's an excellent nine holes of golf. From the pro shop to the bar staff, the whole off course experience is a friendly and welcoming one. The Aliss Bar is a lovely touch and brought back some wonderful memories. The photos won't do the course justice, so if you're in the area, please go and experience it all for yourself. You will not be disappointed - an exceptional course with the staff to match.
Rating: 5 / 5
One of the most beautiful and picturesque courses I have ever played. Though not in good condition due to heavy rain..
Rating: 5 / 5
Underrated in my opinion. Greens last summer were incridible, so fast and rolled so well. The Front 9 is set in 2 parallele valleys, Ive never seen anything like it, very unique. The back 9 while not in the valleys is just as good and is quite typical of other heathlands in the area. Preferred Hindhead to Woking, West Hill and Worplesdon. Members were very friendly and the scampi wrap for lunch was delicious!

I played this golf course today in a match against hankley common 28/5/23 and I have to say it is an unbelievable golf course! It’s the nicest and best course I have ever played. Very picturesque. The greens are like lighting , very true and roll beautifully. The fairways are gorgeous. The club house is also good.. nice food and good beer on tap. I can’t recommend this golf course enough , you will not be disappointed.

If you get the chance to experience the Beaverbrook golf set up, you must take it. The whole experience is on another level; the welcome, the staff, the clubhouse, the facilities...and that's before you even get on the course. The course is quickly becoming one of the best in the area. In short, Beaverbrook is a stunning experience.

The team at BB could not have done more for us both on my husbands Birthday and our Christmas party. Absolutely amazing food & cocktails, great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. Highly recommend the spa as well, without doubt the best massage I have had, again the staff could not do enough to make me feel welcome. Thank you to everyone... we will be back soon!

I love this place! The Kitchen Garden restaurant is perfect for families or with friends. Food is beautifully presented and delicious. The Japanese restaurant in the Main House is interesting and unique, and the Parrot bar for cocktails make you feel like you’ve gone back in time- to an Agatha Christie novel. Stunning grounds, impeccable service and all in Surrey.

A very nice course and an enjoyable round. There was irritation work in progress but was being done in a way that did impact on the round at all!

Simply delightful. This place oozes class and is one of the best courses in the country. New chipping area and range is fantastic.

One of the best - a fantastic course, very friendly staff, and a great clubhouse atmosphere and dining/drinks area overlooking the course at the 4th green.
Rating: 5 / 5
A great course and clubhouse. The course is very scorable with some short par 5's. I found positioning off the tees was more key than other courses in the area.

Seriously good golf course and some of the views from the tees simply awesome. Decent and friendly pro shop and the food, snack and beer selection was great. Great service too.

We were really unlucky with the most horrific rain, all day. But even with that and the 4 if us struggling to play any good golf, we brought a four ball to go back in the auction afterwards. That says it all really, lovely course and great greens, we didn't see it at it's best, but it was still great. Can't wait to come back with better weather. 👍

Played a match here a couple of weeks back and as a club golfer of 50 years, really couldn’t find any faults. The course was in excellent condition, the clubhouse very welcoming and even the weather was spot on.

Have played many courses in the past few weeks, & despite having access to only limited water the green keepers have done an astonishing job keeping the course in great condition! Best course in the area! Great apre-golf experience too!

A very nice track, par 69 and some challenging holes. Bunkers seemed like they could do with some TLC (some had limited sand, some had a lot of stones in) but asides from that was in great shape. Highlights were the greens and tee boxes for sure. Great condition

Awesome beautiful course, friendly staff and a definite bucket list course to tick off the list.

This quintessentially English golf course is wonderful to play. It’s a great challenge and they have a lot of memorable holes that will test your golfing abilities.

Six of us came up and played on Thursday afternoon with two of your members, the course was truly magnificent from tee’s to greens, great clubhouse with a superb lunch before we went out. Looking forward to be able to play again.

A little gem. No long but pretty tight. Well presented with slick greens. A friendly club, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Loved our round and our food after the golf.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had our annual summer ball for the first time at Bramley golf club and definitely a great venue for this sort of event. 3 course meal, dancefloor area, friendly staff. Everyone has said they had a great time!

Stunning location, peaceful, views across the Surrey Hills, well maintained and a challenge for all handicaps.
Rating: 4 / 5
Super golf course. Greens quick and true, general condition is lovely. Couple of holes a bit short, but a great day all round. Staff in club must also get a mention, they are so friendly and helpful, can't do enough for you. Very refreshing indeed.

I played s charity day on Friday the 02/18/24, my first time at the course. I have to say what a superb course in fantastic condition, testing but stunning. Along with that the great facilities the staff were outstanding, i will wear my titleist drift hat with fond memories when i play my home course of Hersham. Would not hesitate to play there again and recommend it to everyone.
Rating: 5 / 5
This is a well run golf course and facilities are constantly being improved. New drainage on holes, bunkers and fairways, is improving year round playability, and a new driving range is almost complete (Nov. 2021). The course is tree lined in a quiet location where you can see and hear a variety of birds including boisterous Cuckoos, busy Pied Wagtails and the ever ubiquitous Pheasant. The club house and bar are well run. There's a good range of menu selections such as wild mushrooms on toast and daily selections such as roast beef baguettes. There's traditional bar food of burgers and beers and some very good wines. Whether you sit outside on the sun drenched terrace or warm yourself inside the clubhouse this is a really nice place to relax and enjoy the best of Surrey.

Recently played here for a matchplay (I'm Windlesham) against the home side. All round great golf course. Greens are slick and pin positions can be challenging. Picking your fairway lines is crucial to getting to the greens safely. Excellent range also with digital screens. Members I played with were courteous and very helpful and friendly. Great club all round.
Rating: 5 / 5
Difficult course but definitely worth a look. Even better now it has a brand new driving range, putting green and chipping area. Driving range has many kids activities too. Great fun.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very good golf course. It's challenging but also enjoyable to play. Lots of woods and fantastic designs makes golf fun. Usually 1st half is more challenging the the back 9. My handicap is 18 so some might say slightly different.

We had a wonderful lunch here today. A beautiful setting, lovely atmosphere in the lounge, and our lady waitress was exceptional. What a pleasure to find good food, reasonably priced, so all in all, an excellent experience. Will definitely go again and can thoroughly recommend. Well done to all the caring, attentive staff.

We attended a Christmas party night held at this golf club yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful venue, delicious meal and wonderful service by all the staff. Great location with plenty of parking. Looking forward to another event next year! Recommended 👌🏽
Rating: 5 / 5
An absolutely beautiful golf course with an amazing club shop and driving range. Even the club shop is above par. You will feel truly welcome here as a golfer or spectator. I can see why it is ranked so highly
Rating: 4 / 5
As the flagship home of the Burhill group the clubhouse and facilities at the site are modern and user friendly. The clubhouse is a coverted stately home type buliding and finished to a lovely standard. The practice facilities are good with a multi bay range and practice green. I didn't see a specific chipping green or practice bunker so don't know whether they have one or not but you can practice low short running chips on the putting green. The pro shop is well stocked and as with the whole experience, the staff were helpful and friendly. I only played the Old Course which was a perfectly well maintained parkland course but to be honest rather lacked any character. There were no real beautiful holes or picturesque views other than looking across the course is mostly flat and interspersed with good tree coverage. Whilst it is longer than your average course, that was the main defence. The fairways were wide with trees separating them but there was still plenty of space to spray a driver around. The rough was quite punishing and the first cut was of a length that meant there was a decent challenge making a good contact with the ball but was not so difficult as to impede play. There were some nice shaped holes with dog legs, providing challenges and a few tight approach shots, but nothing that was particularly challenging. Overall, I found the course to be a nice well-presented fairly standard parkland course which was slightly more interesting on the back nine with the introduction of some undulation. This however, was missing on the first nine holes giving it a rather mundane experience. The group i played with all had similar views. We enjoyed the course. The greens and fairways were all in great condition and consistent however we would not rush back to play the old course and don't think that it represents great value for a stand alone round. I am however hoping to play the new course at some point in the future, which i am assured will have more of a championship feel. The old course i would score a 7 out of ten as a nice long parkland course with the club house and friendly staff bringing the score up a notch to 4 stars.
Rating: 5 / 5
Excellent golf club with two 18 hole courses. Both are quite long so be prepared to drive well! The club house sits stunningly at the top of the 18th hole of the new course- a great spot to grab a drink after the round to watch others finish.

Clandon Regis Golf Course
Epsom Rd, West Clandon, Guildford GU4 7TT, UK | Sports Club P: 01483 224888
Rating: 4.6 (142) Price Level:
Surrey is littered with fantastic golf courses so often really great clubs get over looked or not get the recognition they deserve. Clandon is definitely one of those clubs. Played a few weeks back with some pals and we were all really impressed with the quality of the course and also the facilities. Go check it out as soon as you can.
Rating: 5 / 5
Despite a bit of rain, the course was in fantastic shape, with beautiful autumn colors and smooth greens. The pro shop staff and members were all super friendly, making us feel right at home. The view of the clubhouse from the 18th hole looked straight out of a postcard! We wrapped up the day with a pint of Guinness at the bar, enjoying the view over the course. Can’t wait to come back!
Rating: 4 / 5
Played the course a couple of days ago for the first time. It’s a nice course. Fairways were in good condition and most of the tees. Greens had plenty of undulations and were quick. Enjoyed the day and food was great. The only gripe was the cost. Visitors fee is £55, which is reasonable. However, county card rate is £50, which is hardly worth having the discount. I would have expected the county card rate to be around £40 to £45, which would be more comparable with other courses of this type in the area. Unfortunately, until this cost adjustment is made, we are unlikely to return sadly. This the reason I rated 4 and not 5

Rating: 4.5 (233) Price Level:
Played at this course today. Team very welcoming - both pro shop and bar. Challenging course but a lovely day to play. Course in good condition. Would love to play again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Friendly and helpful staff in the pro shop set us off on our first visit with a smile and some advice regarding course layout and the bar staff were great afterwards. Great course with lovely greens and hidden thick grass hazards dotted in inconspicuous places. Nice use of water on a few holes makes you swallow your pride and think about how to play the hole to your strengths (made me realise I don’t have any lol). Would definitely revisit.
Rating: 4 / 5
Was pleasantly surprised with just how good condition the tee boxes, fairways and greens were. Especially considering the recent weather and the football. The pro shop seemed welcoming, the bunkers were GUR due to heavy rain but I would say this place is fantastic value. Not the longest course but it’s still challenges any parts of your game.
Rating: 5 / 5
Four of us visited on a weekday morning and were not disappointed despite the very mixed weather conditions! The course is a decent challenge. Lots of mixtures of dog leg lefts, dog leg rights, short par 3s, long par 3s, decent length par 4s and a few juicy par 5s. The 90 degree dog leg left 4th hole was a quirky highlight! The staff were very welcoming and helped us with a few local tips before setting off. Although mainly dry, it started off wet and ended in pretty torrential rain, but the course handled the extremities really well! The greens were pretty heavily sanded (to be expected with the amount of rain) but were still pretty decent all things considered and offered a pretty good roll. Will definitely be coming back - in hopefully better weather - to give it another go! Well worth a visit.
