Called in for lunch. Good set menu, friendly service. Good value. Slightly cramped tables. Very popular even on a Tuesday lunchtime
Rating: 5 / 5
Beyond excellent. Lunch menu superb. Delicious, beautifully presented, and the best value for money possible. We are always looking for good places to eat and felt this time we had hit the jackpot. Will visit again very soon.

Excellent lunch with different options and not your usual choices either. They do a set menu with 2 or 3 courses as an option. I chose off the normal menu and had aubergine stuffed with a side of fries very good portion and very flavoursome. The other person did the same and had a fishcake, which was much enjoyed. We shared a pudding of poached figs, which again was delicious. Would recommend it and I will return

Brilliant food, lovely staff. We are lucky enough to be local and hired all the rooms for family and friends at our wedding. All were happy and loved the food!

Bonjour
4 Babeny Walk, Poundbury, Dorchester DT1 3TR, UK | Cafe P: 07597 084277
Rating: 4.7 (124) Price Level:
A “rare find” as AirBnB often says! An old school cafe, with personal service at reasonable/fair prices. It’s not often that you can buy an Americano for £2.20 these days! And their menu has a wide range of sandwiches and/or toasties. Nothing fancy, but great value and a friendly welcome.
Rating: 5 / 5
Stopped at this lovely cafe on the way to Cornwall and it was so good we stopped there again on the way back. Emily and John are friendly and the food tasty with generous portions. We thoroughly recommend. Keith and Serena.
Rating: 5 / 5
Friendly and kind staff, they are really a pleasure to be around and the cafe is honestly a great place to have a snack or a drink in. Tasty hot chocolate!
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely lil cafe. Had an Americano and a flapjack to go from here. Emily and John were on shift I must say both were very welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. Was a pleasure to meet you both will visit again soon. I really dislike coming into poundbury (was there because of work) but these lovely humans made my day. Thank you so much.

Amazing customer service, very reasonably priced. It's a cafe you come away thinking "that was amazing" rather than "that was ok" Thank you very much! Will come back ❤️❤️

Rating: 4.6 (273) Price Level:
Great food and service. I will definitely go again. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible. Prices are fair, especially considering everywhere costs more to eat out nowadays.
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a lovely dinner last night ! Cheesecake is absolutely amazing ! Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We will definitely be back for a meal again. We will pop in as normal for a couple of beers in the meantime. Cheers

We found this place on Google maps trying to find somewhere for lunch, we were not disappointed. It's a very pretty looking place and the staff were very friendly. The food was amazing, we didn't leave anything on our plates. Would 10/10 recommend 👌

We had our choir Christmas lunch at The Dolphin today and it was amazing! The food was superb (as always), the service was excellent, and our wonderful hosts Julie and Andy looked after our every need. This was the second year our group ( there were 17 of us today) have chosen The Dolphin for our Christmas lunch and I can’t imagine that anywhere else could better our experience today.

The Stalls Cafe
Chestnut yard studios, Salisbury SP3 5NH, UK | Brunch Restaurant P: 07849 495592
Rating: 4.6 (142) Price Level:
Such a lovely cafe with the most friendly staff. Dogs are allowed and the Olympics was being shown on the TV. Our food was alright, but there wasn’t a huge choice on the menu. It looks as though the weekends have a bigger variety for food if that’s what you’re planning to come in for.
Rating: 5 / 5
Best coffee for miles, in a county where it’s tricky to find a decent flat white. Coffee is advertised as ‘Aussie style’. At least four types of hot chocolate, made properly. Dogs and kids welcomed. Nice staff. Outdoor and in-barn seating
Rating: 4 / 5
Nice place for a coffee stop and brunch. Fantastic ice cream milkshakes. Good flat white but was only slightly warm. Bit on the pricey side but overall a pleasant experience.

Potters Cafe Bistro

Rating: 4.6 (302) Price Level:
We only popped in for a drink but the staff were lovely and the service was very good.
Rating: 4 / 5
A lovely little cafe, tucked away in a Dorchester side street. A well-kept secret that the locals cherish. You can get to Potters back door and their lovely patio garden by turning left before entering Waitrose. The front door is in the street next to Tony & Guys hair salon. The cafe offers lots of homemade goodies and great tea and coffee. They are a little pricey for some of their items but it's worth paying that little bit more for quality. The staff are well above the average.
Rating: 5 / 5
Really excellent. As someone who also owns a small independent cafe, Potters is one of the best I have visited. Lovely food( club sandwich) almost too much to finish, and I’m a big eater. Very attentive staff, and extremely good value for money. All round an excellent little cafe.

Rating: 4.5 (151) Price Level:
The team are friendly and attentive. The food isn't presented to any amazing level but it's so well cooked. My sautéed cod was delicious. It's a lovely interior too. Another little gem.
Rating: 5 / 5
I had a lovely meal at this hidden gem which had been recommended by friends. The portion sizes were more than adequate! Home made burger & chips. Luscious Eton mess.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Plough hosted my small running group for Sunday lunch today. It was our first time and we were absolutely delighted. A really lovely and atmospheric pub with excellent food and great service. They could not have been more welcoming. The Chocolate Orange cheese cake was particularly good. Many thanks and will definitely be back. Lex

Good pub food, well priced. Used to go to this pub 50 years ago and it’s nearly as good again now as it was then. Took my 10 year old grandson and he was treated like an adult, which was nice! Had the rib eye steak, but we will be going back to try other things on the menu. 👍
Rating: 5 / 5
Booked the Plough for my daughter’s 21st Birthday. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We had a variety of dishes cod and chips, mixed grill, steak, wellington and Jamaican Christmas Cake. The food was fantastic. Served quickly and efficiently. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere all round. Would definitely highly recommend.

Really good full English breakfast and nice seating outside. The farm shop inside has some nice stuff as well. Service was a little slow, but otherwise great.
Rating: 5 / 5
Detoured to have breakfast here! It's a working farm livestock being hear All around. The sun was shining so we ate outdoors and all around us tables were filling up. Food was delicious, and the homemade Greek yogurt stunning. Portions a little small so if you're hungry go for the big breakfast. Prices on the top end for breakfasts in farm shops & cafes but as a treat...go on!!
Rating: 5 / 5
What a gem of a place! Excellent coffee (and I am a coffee snob) delicious good and a very welcoming and friendly team. Can only recommend if you are anywhere in the vicinity and it’s definitely worth a little detour :)
Rating: 4 / 5
Fantastic location for breakfast situated just off the A303. The food took quite a while to arrive but was well presented and tasted great. The poached eggs were perfectly runny, the halloumi provided texture and seasoning whilst the avocado created an even more creamy and indulgent affair. Parking is available on site and fresh eggs, vegetables and local produce are on sale.

Recommended by some friends who live locally. Extensive menu, although it was pizza night so we chose off that menu. Very tasty, and the side portions (chips, onion rings, garlic bread) were HUGE! Great selection of drinks as well. Does seem to be busy, so may be an idea to book ahead. Planning a return visit for a Sunday Roast! 😁

A great traditional Pub, friendly atmosphere, serves good pub food. We will go again it may even become our remote local.

Stayed in Marnhul for a midweek break, this the local pub. A great social hub. Locals friendly and welcoming. Landlord and staff were great. A special thanks to Mark for looking after us and the dog. It's not very often you get a really good and varied menu nowadays in a pub. This was both. We ate every night and the quality was outstanding. We had a great time. Thanks very much

Lookout Cafe
Bowleaze Coveway, Weymouth DT3 6PL, UK | Cafe P: 01305 833459
Rating: 4.6 (1302) Price Level:
Popped in for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman temple ruins. The cafe has the perfect location looking out over the bay, and has seating both inside and out. Staff were super friendly and even though it was fairly close to closing time they were incredibly accommodating. We had the seafood platter, and even though they did not have a lot of crab meat, they offered to make it up with another part of the platter instead. That being said, the platter had a great portion of each of the seafoods, and the salad was very good too. Personally I really enjoy radish in salads so glad to see it here. We also got a milkshake and a smoothie, the milkshake was a great refresher and my partner said she loved the smoothie. Finally we also had a couple of cakes to finish our lunch, I had a rocky road which was superb, and my partner had the largest slice of coffee and walnut cake, which of course I helped finish off. Definitely worth going for a nice meal with a view!

Recommended by my friends cousins and wasn't disappointed. Great breakfast and coffee. Great views across the bays! Must be good as we left at 10 q was well out of the door!

I fly kites at Bowleeze Cove common ground, and the Lookout is right next to the field so it's very convenient. They provide great food with good sized portions and the freshly ground coffee is lovely especially on a cold day. Would recommend 👍

I have recently taken over the duties as chairman of the Marnhull RBL and though I am not ex services I am very proud of what our club has achieved. Our charity fund raising is something that i am very proud of for both for the Poppy appeal and other selected charities, indeed with the energies of Tony our entertaiments commitee member we raised £1000.00 for the St Margarets Hospice Yeovil in one night We have an active committe who promote the club with music most weekends fortnightly Bingo, Skittles,Darts and Pool league teams also Short Mat Bowls with other activities taking place. The club with it's excellent bar facilities and kitchens are available for private hire but excluding political organisations. As with all venues if they are not used they will disappear and we cannot let that happen to the Marnhul RBL, new members are made to feel very welcome to our very friendly club as is everyone

Dogs are also welcome, very friendly and helpful bar staff, you are made very welcome here. Charity events are also held here, and you can also hire for Weddings, Christenings, etc. There is an outside garden with seating.

Difficult place to find using Google maps, sent me down some very strange country tracks! But once I got there we were made to feel so welcome by Liz it was lovely. It's a very nice clean tidy hall, big dancefloor, nice bar. Plenty of parking. Had a great time with the music entertainment that night being Elvis56, then there was a raffle and a game of Play your cards right in the break, before Elvis did his 2nd set. Followed a friend hime via a much better and easier route back home. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
