Lovely Atmosphere, the Food was delicious at very reasonable prices and the Bar Staff and Landlady very pleasant. And exceptionally Dog Friendly. Well worth leaving our village and travelling a few miles.

I often stop off here on a Friday after work, The staff are lovely, the beer is fab. I've yet to try the food but plan on coming back with family. Well worth giving it a go. Just a few mins off the A 37.

We had a really good, quickly served (by nice staff) meal at a reasonable price. We live less than a mile away and had avoided the place for 10 years (it used to be terrible) but we've now been converted!
Rating: 4 / 5
The room was clean, really good but in our room I think room 5, the heating was not working or quite difficult to manipulate. Anyway, it was a really good place to stay, comfortable bed, awesome restaurant - we had dinner and a complementary breakfast there, and it was very well-priced. We were charged initially for the food we didn't purchase, but it was easily rectified and refunded. Good service.

25 of my family booked this lovely pub for our annual Christmas get together on Sunday 17th November, as we chose halfway from all of us to meet up. Always a gamble when you book somewhere you not been before. Well, the Hunters Lodge Inn did not disappoint. It was really busy at 1:45pm, we had a whole section to ourselves, tables laid out, we put crackers on and had a corner for all our Secret Santa gifts. We asked for a rubbish bag so we could clean up afterwards. Jade was truly professional and a credit to the pub, she looked after us all. Service was amazing considering it was so busy. The food (carvery) was so tasty, hot, lots of it and served to you by a really lovely man. Everyone that worked here showed they really enjoy it. Car parking was fab and a lovely park for the kids. Thank you so much from us all and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025. Our new find đ

Came into this lovely little village for a over night stay as in a coach driver. Was told this was the only place to eat and drink - the food was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend the steak and ale pie! The meat was sooooooo goood! The chips were perfect too, I had a brownie for dessert which melted in my mouth - they also pour a perfect Guinness, the owners greeted us very nicely, very kind people who made me feel welcome.

What an amazing find! Beautiful old pub with fabulous home cooked food and very welcoming. Our room was lovely too. Will 100% be back!

Absolutely loved this little gem. Stayed in the loft room which is very quaint. Very comfortable bed and amazing shower. Veryan and Peter, the hosts, were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast and the best scallops I've had in a long time. In a great location for sightseeing in the surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend staying here. đ

Proper pub, offering good food and beer. Friendly and attentive service, despite how busy they were, just prior to Christmas. Not easy to park right outside, but you can find a spot, just up the road, somewhere.

Such a lovely cafe with the most friendly staff. Dogs are allowed and the Olympics was being shown on the TV. Our food was alright, but there wasnât a huge choice on the menu. It looks as though the weekends have a bigger variety for food if thatâs what youâre planning to come in for.

Best coffee for miles, in a county where itâs tricky to find a decent flat white. Coffee is advertised as âAussie styleâ. At least four types of hot chocolate, made properly. Dogs and kids welcomed. Nice staff. Outdoor and in-barn seating

Went for a Mexican and half price cocktails on a Wednesday evening. Mexican is cooked in a van in the car park, but served in the bar/conservatory - excellent food (real cutlery but takeaway boxes).

Really well looked after when they were busy with a birthday tea party. Delicious cream tea in a beautiful garden. Excellent staff. Made really welcome. Looks a pleasant place to stay too.

A stellar experience. Lovely service from the team, who clearly are passionate about what they do. The steak I had was maybe the best I have ever been served - a lovely cut and cooked perfectly. Just a great experience.

We always like to try out a new pub for a Sunday Roast and came across this little gem. Based on their menu and google ratings, we decided to book. We had their new Sunday roast sharing board (there was 3 of us) and it was amazing. The amount of meat on it is well worth the money. Perfectly cooked pork belly, beef and chicken leg. And of course being greeted by the beautiful collie who led us to the front door âșïž We will definitely be back and will highly recommend! Great pub, very friendly and attentive staff, great food!

Fantastic, quiet beautiful campsite. Very clean site and clean toilets and shower block. Utensil washing area. Fire pits and wind breaks available to hire. Lovely campsite wardens, lovely friendly staff and hosts. Amazing food. 10mins drive to Cern Abbys brewery. Definitely recommend.

My niece had her wedding here and the place was fantastic. Food for the event was brilliant and innovative. We also had Sunday lunch which was fabulous. Camping on site and lots of Airbnb in the area. Three cottages right next to pub with access through the gardens.

Great menu choice. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. Lovely ambiance with log fire and beautiful Christmas decorations. The front of house staff were very welcoming from the time we entered. There service was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or regular treat. We loved it there.

My wife, 4-year-old daughter and I stayed one night on a Friday before a bank holiday. The place is beautiful and nicely secluded in a tiny village. Very picturesque. The staff can't do enough for you and manage to somehow cultivate an laid-back yet luxurious feel to the place. The inn is a popular pub and restaurant too, so there is definitely some background noise in the evening but this is to be expected. Everything died down quickly after last orders at 11pm. The rooms were nicely appointed and clean throughout. The food at the restaurant was exceptional - especially the seafood options and the breakfast (my eggs were cooked exactly as I asked for them - a rare treat and worth big points in my book!). Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return, or perhaps book one of their sister venues to fill up our stamp card.

We went today for the shared Christmas platter lunch and it was brilliant. We were 6 adults and had 3 toddlers and 3 dogs with us(!), and the staff couldnât have been more helpful and accommodating. We were in the sitting room, which was really well laid out and festive. The food was great too. Thanks Amelie (hope Iâve got that right) and staff x

Our top breakfast choice when weâre around Boscombe. Thereâs plenty of choice on the menu, with options to suit meat eaters, vegetarian and vegan guests - Iâve enjoyed every meal Iâve had at Boscanova, but itâs their American style pancakes that keeps us coming back! Never had anything elsewhere that even comes close!

Such a lovely brunch spot, staff were super friendly and very attentive. We ordered the avo toast and the price was so reasonable for the amount given, we ended up ordering an extra place of toast for the amount of avocado received. The coffees were so lovely with a variety of alternative milks and syrups available. A very cosy and clean location and would recommend a visit.

Staying over in Bournemouth for the weekend so came here for a good morning breakfast and I wasnât disappointed, lovely culture and good food! Tried the London Fog and it actually surprised me - a one of a kind drink!
Rating: 4 / 5
Food was lovely, staff are friendly. Only reason i am giving 4 stars is because they brought out my familyâs food then I had to wait for mine & then they got my order wrong and brought out the wrong food, so I had to wait even longer, whilst my family had already eaten their meals. Thatâs the only negative. Food was still tasty & I wouldnât let this put me off returning

An amazing maize, maze one of the best around. What a pity it's the final maze this year. A wonderful attraction for all the family with all the usual facilities including a superb little cafe. Play area for younger children and very reasonably priced. Staff extremely friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The maze is open all summer until early September so get in there quickly for a brilliant day out!
Rating: 5 / 5
Good location on the edge of Sherborne to let the kids run and play while you sit comfortably in the old farm yard with a cake and coffee or maybe a light lunch.
Rating: 5 / 5
I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.

What a gem of a place! Excellent coffee (and I am a coffee snob) delicious good and a very welcoming and friendly team. Can only recommend if you are anywhere in the vicinity and itâs definitely worth a little detour :)

Little gem of a place hiding out of sight. Set in a real old and operating farm it is well worth seeking out. Fresh menus, gluten free options, local produce.

Fantastic location for breakfast situated just off the A303. The food took quite a while to arrive but was well presented and tasted great. The poached eggs were perfectly runny, the halloumi provided texture and seasoning whilst the avocado created an even more creamy and indulgent affair. Parking is available on site and fresh eggs, vegetables and local produce are on sale.
