5 stars š - Staff very friendly - Prices excellent - spotless tables - Food high quality I had the beef roast dinner and honestly it was blooming marvellous... Decent slow cooked beef no fat or tough bits I'd say its near standard to a gourmet pub roast, just a third of the price. Highly recommended you try here if I lived closer this would definitely be my local.

This is my new favourite cafe!! It's got so much better over time. I must Go there atleast once a week or I start missing it!!! Have tried a lot of other cafes but this is the best one so far. Even my friend comes from Barkingside to eat here with me!!! Amazing paninis! And smoothies too! Lovely staff, so friendly and welcoming, all smiles!! Edited to add: Oct 2024 and still the best one for a jacket potato!!

Best English breakfast ever. Generous portions, low prices, and very tasty food. They have different set menus, which can be costumised based on your taste. Breakfast comes with free tea/coffee options, and as a bonus, coffee is really good. Service staff are very friendly and inviting and orders arrive in no time.

Good always good and freshly cooked. Atmosphere a bit strange like we shouldnāt have been there as not locals. Not very welcoming by other guests. But the owners were lovely.

I ordered a breakfast, it was brought to my table, the food was hot, presented very well, I didn't have to wait very long, a very good portion size and very tasty. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The price was good. An all round good experience. I would thoroughly recommend this cafe.

You literally canāt go wrong a Parkwood Cafe. I returned today for the first time in years. To eat the same meal at the same booth as I had the last time I was there. Safe to say they did not disappoint. Though the place is always full to the brim of smiling locals and hungry contractors. Thereās always room for a few more.

Nice well decorated clean and inviting bistro. Good place to meet for a coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Relaxed classy tea rooms atmosphere. Great food and drinks.
Rating: 5 / 5
Visited for the first time on Saturday, we didnt book just walked in around lunch time. They were closingbearly for a private event which thry communicated clearly and straight away with their expectations on how long we could stay which was fine by us. The waitress was lovely, attentive, polite and friendly making us feel really welcome. It was clean and tidy and a lovely environment. The food was lovely and a good menu to choose from. Toilet was very clean and spacious. Myself and my mum had a lovely lunch here and will definitely be going back. We didnt have afternoon tea but what we coukd see it looked lovely too! Lovely place to treat yourself to lunch if you want a more upmarket lunch menu for a reasonable price.

Iāve been to many cafes in my time, and I canāt believe we actually have a hidden gem in our local town rainham Kent, @tick.tocksrainham what can I say not only the best presentation I have ever seen when it comes down to a omelette it tasted incredible too, it was creamy and flavoursome, the Char on top of the omelette added amazing flavour, the chips were so nice, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beans just gave it that little bit of flare, I will be definitely coming back with my kids, the prices are really good and affordable, also the staff where amazing so helpful kind and polite, especially towards my kids.
Rating: 4 / 5
Had a large breakfast and more than happy to swap my tomato for a hash brown. Coffee was very tasty and the staff are great. Having the beans in a glass pot is a great idea! My only disappointment is that the mushrooms were tinned instead of fresh.

Had my birthday meal here on Saturday evening and was made to feel special. The food was lovely, cocktails went down very well and the staff was so friendly. I will definitely go back again the owner made a point of speaking to everyone and making them feel welcomed.
Rating: 5 / 5
Really nice local restaurant. The owners have worked very hard not just to produce quality, authentic Greek food. But also create the warm family friendly environment you get when on holiday there. Would highly recommend. Service was very efficient, even when fully booked and the food and staff were fantastic.

As someone already said it is the best cafe in Medway. We have brunch here most Sundays. The food is always fresh and tasty. Best chips anywhere. Chicken salad is lovely and brekkie is generous. Staff are really nice. I just don't bother with anywhere else now.

Cafe Time Gillingham

Rating: 4.7 (142) Price Level:
By far the best full English in town. I advise you to skip dinner prior to the morning you plan to eat breakfast. Their full English is fuller than many others'. This is a warm, cosy place with welcoming staff and tasty food.
Rating: 5 / 5
Delicious food. We had the Special breakfast, Full burger and a couple of berry smoothies. Everything was very tasty, generous portions. Lovely and friendly service. The place had a nice vibe as well. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic breakfast, fantastic service this cafƩ is a hidden gem. The fried bread was perfect as was the fried eggs. Will return.......
Rating: 5 / 5
This cafe is easily a 5 as the food is hot, freshly prepared and well presented. I took a star off for the following, but this is only my personal choices and doesn't mean there is anything wrong. I would have liked a better quality sausage, even if it meant only getting one instead of two. The bacon was perfect, well cooked and nice thick slice with not loads of fat like some cafes. My coffee was lovely but again too milky for me, some like it milky, I will get milk seperate next time. Cafe was quite busy and I expected a wait but it came really quick and the staff were lovely. I recommend this cafe and I will come back. You might struggle to park a camper but the carpark is free.

Lovely old pub beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays. Attentive service and delicious meals at fair prices. I recommend reserving as it's a very popular place, and rightfully so.
Rating: 5 / 5
I booked a table for 19 of us for a Xmas meal. Everything was lovely, the staff, the food and the service. We all enjoyed it so much we may be booking again next year
Rating: 5 / 5
A drive in our beautiful countryside to find the Rose & Crown which I visited many years ago. Well worth it. Hospitality, wow! We were made so welcome, food choice, quality & representation was exceptional. So friendly & polite. I could go on! Will not leave it so long for another visit. If fact it could become a weekly habit! Thank you to the staff.

Had several meals at the R&C recently, the food is very good, the fish & chips the best around. Excellent service, nice little pub, a couple of real ales, nice village...

Rose Inn

Rating: 4.5 (274) Price Level:
I was shocked, positively shocked! I did not expect anything like that. I have not tried the English menu but will try next time. But the Thai menu is so tasty. If you are local, forget about any other Thai takeaway or restaurant, and if you are not local, don't be lazy and get there anyway as it is definitely worth trying. I have tried Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, nice portion, fantastic taste, not too spicy, just right and only Ā£7.95. I wasn't hungry anymore, just greedy, and I also wanted to try another dish, so I have ordered another Thai main, this time Beef Massaman Ā£7.95 again and Egg Fried Rice Ā£3.50. Another great experience, meat was so tender and succulent. In addition to this, fantastic Thai beer. Very friendly atmosphere and clean tables. I will definitely come back even though I am not local and would recommend this place to best friend. Well done, Rose Inn Team!
Rating: 5 / 5
We go here occasionally for the Thai food on Mondays, excellent value for money. The food is amazing. I canāt remember the last time I ordered a main for under a tenner. Well done
Rating: 4 / 5
Fantastic food, great service. Unbelievable prices especially on a Monday when the special offer is on. Hurlimanns larger served on tap as its a Sheperd and Neame pub. Just remember your in a pub not a top end restaurant when you start looking around at fixtures and fittings. Would definitely return here
Rating: 5 / 5
Great local pub. Does great Thai food with selection of British food too recommend booking a table for Sunday lunches however.
Rating: 5 / 5
We visited for Sunday lunch and chose the roast turkey and lamb. Both dishes were served hot and the meat was nice. What we particular liked was the amount of fresh rather than the normal frozen vegetables that our meals came with i.e. cauliflower, swede, carrots, sprouts, broccoli, cabbage and roast potatoes. Overall a great Sunday roast, we will definitely return and have already recommended to friends and family.

Nutmegs Patisserie
67B High St, Rainham, Gillingham ME8 7HS, UK | Bakery P: 01634 238637
Rating: 4.7 (304) Price Level:
I went here for afternoon tea with some friends and it was absolutely fantastic! I'd definitely recommend for a local afternoon tea, I had the vegetarian option and my friends the standard and we all loved it! They change the options every so often - we had the summer menu afternoon tea.
Rating: 5 / 5
We frequently visit Nutmegs and decided to use them for a surprise 60th birthday party, and weāre able to book the whole cafe on a Sunday. We had twelve people, one vegetarian, and had an afternoon tea for the party. Trent and Meghan were easy to book with and a confirmation came through five days before the party. We had a few drop outs before the party (originally booked for 15), and this was easily accommodated. On the day, we were allowed access an hour early for decoration. When the birthday girl arrived, the team quickly sprung into action and we were served tea, coffee, the sandwiches and cakes as well as other soft drinks. As usual, the food was amazing, fresh, and homemade. We also asked for a Victoria sponge cake which was delicious. Our vegetarian friend received their own mini plates and a quiche instead of the incredible sausage rolls. They put on some soft music to complete the intimate atmosphere. We managed to eat what we could and took the rest home. All in all, an amazing experience at a very affordable price. I heartily recommend Nutmegs for breakfast, lunch, or a party.

Went for their Mexican evening with a guest chef. Really good, canāt wait for their next event. Have also brunched here many times always good and quality food
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely food.friendly staff. The homemade Sweet chilli jam on the toasted sandwich was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Another visit today for breakfast and was not disappointed
Rating: 5 / 5
My daughter wanted Pancakes for breakfast so I said we could go out. We had a look online and found a couple of places nearby, but the picture of the pancakes at Nutmegs won her over. We easily booked a table online and when we arrive it was easy to locate our table with our name on. The staff were friendly and attentive and we were given a menu on a wooden clipboard which along with the atmosphere made the place feel luxury. We ordered pancakes and the halloumi and shrooms. The food was delicious and we stayed for ages chatting and taking our time to enjoy breakfast. It was a really nice way to start the day. We'll be back thank you
