Great place to enjoy a proper fry up
Rating: 5 / 5
Stopped off and had a breakfast, I had the traditional for £5.95, it came with egg bacon couple of bangers and picked fried bread, beans, and tea. I could have had coffee, Tom's toaster b&b. It was clean and friendly, and value for money, I was lucky to found a parking space close by. Would I go back yes definitely.

Placed an order through uber eats for delivery, had issues with the delivery. Not the owners fault at all, solely down to the uber delivery driver. Contacted the cafe and they couldn't have been more helpful, contacting uber and requesting for it to be sorted. Ending up sorting the food between us (myself and the store) Excellent customer service, amazing food. Definitely going to be ordering again, maybe through a different delivery company this time!

Good food, well cooked - I had poached eggs on toast and the chef came over and apologised because they were slightly overcooked - so he did me 3 more! I was full all day! The breakfasts looked tasty, and the prices very reasonable. Excellent lattes too!

This cafe has gone above and beyond to make my dad's day. He's been in hospital 6wks and has been going on about a cooked breakfast. Just Eats didn't deliver from here to the hospital today. I didn't want to disappoint my dad, spoke to the cafe and they have gone above and beyond 💝💝💝.... they are going to deliver the breakfast themselves. My dad is absolutely amazed... And I can't thank the cafe enough.... absolutely brilliant. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ❤️.... you've made my dad smile 😊

Ok, so this was our first visit to the cafe, and before I go on , I was impressed. As soon as we walked in the two staff members where attentive and super friendly, made us feel really comfortable and welcome, We ordered two set breakfast and two cold drinks , both breakfast came with a hot drink and either toast or bread and butter , when the breakfast’s turn up they where piping hot and delicious, I would say for a fried breakfast they looked clean and not greasy, Amazing. And the price was super reasonable, one of the best value breakfasts we have had We will definitely be returning for both the service and the food . Well done 👍

A really good old school café with food and atmosphere to match. If you were ever a kid who'd go out with your mum and dad or even grandparents to a market on a weekend then it wouldn't surprise me if you went somewhere like this. It's not fancy or snooty, it's relaxed, home-y and just old school. If you don't know what that means then I honestly think you may have missed out on some great memories growing up. For those looking for more specific information, the foods great, the options are plenty including Vegetarian and the price is affordable.

First time at the star, even tho it was abit busy with reserved tables for the footy later. Service was super quick! chicken sandwich (although massive & couldn’t finish) was amazing! Along with the lovely server Tori, very polite & friendly Defo recommended for a quick lunch or pint

Friendly staff especially Kim. Food hot and catered for requirements. Choice of food and beverages is good. Only improvement needed is in the ladies toilets. Need work done However couldn’t fault anything else. Catered for our large group and was very accommodating

Had a lovely meal with friends here today. Wait times were not too bad and the food was delicious. Prices are good for what you get and the staff are fantastic, we were served by Tori and James who were very polite and ensured we had all we need. Would gladly come here again and certainly will in the future.

We had the gammon, Korean chicken burger and one of the ‘mix it up’ meals, and it was all delicious. As huge lovers of gammon, it was some of the best we’ve had! The atmosphere lost a star because the football was on quite loud (which we didn’t come for) but it was made up for by the lovely service James provided! James also has a 5 star beard 😂

Went for a spot of lunch at The Star withva colleague this afternoon, we were greeted upon entry and served quickly and politely. Our food order was taken promptly and efficiently. Our food was amazing, good portion size and excellent value for money. The pub was nice and tidy, the atmosphere was great, John the Manager, was very warm and friendly, we will definitely be back again and would really recommend!

Harrow Inn

Rating: 4.4 (515) Price Level:
Impromptu visit on a Sunday afternoon. A rare sight seeing spaces in the carpark, I ventured in without a booking. The landlady worked her magic to fit us in. The food was epic Two Beef roasts and the Harrow Burger. All generous portions, great cut of beef and veg as we like it 'al dente'. Cauliflower cheese, roasties and horseradish sauce were outstanding. Two old school puddings were also above par. I will return and make a point of booking to secure our place next time. Highly recommended.

Lived locally for 8 years, how have we never visited this pub before now!! Great atmosphere, and really nice staff. The young lady working today on the serving was really good. We had only popped in for a quick drink, but ended up staying for a second. And we're definitely coming back again to try the food, which looked great from what I watched coming out to other people, with envious eyes!

Our family ( all ten of us) had a pre Christmas lunch at the Harrow today. Itc as our 2st time eating here & we were not disappointed. We had a choice of festive menu & Sunday lunch menu & were able to mix n match between the two. Food was tasty & plentiful. Staff were attentive & unphased by our large group including 2 children. Service was excellent. Loved the country cosy pub atmosphere. Thank you

Came in with my mum on Sunday for a roast, food was lovely, and the atmosphere was brilliant, had a drink before going into the restaurant and the bar area had beautiful decor and the bar man was friendly and very polite. We were Acknowledged as soon as we walked in, And the Moretti pint had to be one of the best in this area. Will return. Sticky toffee lovely, along with the roasts, could not recommend this pub enough. Will return. Thankyou the harrow team!

We visited midweek for dinner. We ordered the steak suet pudding which was very nice and contained plenty of meat and fish and chips which was ok but not memorable. For desserts we ordered lemon drizzle cake which was excellent and ginger loaf cake which tasted a bit bland. The service was friendly enough although came across as a little apprehensive. We really liked the signs on the walls including the toilets which were very clean. Overall we had a very enjoyable evening and would return.

Spyglass & Kettle

Rating: 4.1 (722) Price Level:
I arrived today around 3pm seeking to purchase a few drinks and some food. The bar was impressively packed for this time of day. However being the holiday season and also the world cup season, this was to be expected and will require another visit at a less traditionally busy time to ascertain the general normal trading day. My overall experience was excellent. I can't fault the pub itself, the staff, the food, the drink selection offered etc I asked several couples and a table full of patrons eating meals what they rated the food out of 10. It averaged out at a respectable 8/ 10 over the board. So bravo to the chef. They were all long term return customers and had nothing but good to say about this pub. That speaks volumes to me I'm sure you will agree. The manager Mel was a delight. I was pleased to have met and spoke to her, and her willingness to solve an issue I had without hesitation was commendable. She clearly cares about this pub and it shows. I asked several staff and customers about her and they said it's been so much better since she has been running it. One staff member who had been there for a few months, told me she rated the place 8.5 / 10 to work at. I recommend you visit this place and enjoy your time in a nice traditional yet modern feeling pub l. One that welcomes you and provides an excellent service and a warm welcoming experience every time.

Pub in Wigmore, Gillingham,Kent. Part of the Greene King group. A large inn with a sports bar area, restaurant, general bar area and a garden. Has large TV screens around the pub showing sports including premier league football. They have a good menu with some great deals like a selection of meals at 2 for £12.99. They also have special offers on specific days like fish & chips for just £6 on Fridays and a good sized Sunday roast for £9. There a seniors menus Monday to Friday before 5pm where you can get 2 courses for £6.49 and 3 courses for just £1 more. There is also a good children's menu. The pub has a nice friendly atmosphere and the restaurant and main pub area are both comfortable. They have a quiz night and occasional live music. All staff I have interacted with have always been friendly and helpful. The pub has a good sized car park, you just need to enter your cars REG into the pad inside. There are 3 charging points for electric vehicles and so e spaces for disabled folks. I would say the pub is suitable for all and a family meal will not break the bank. Recent photos show the lovely Xmas trees

Two of us visited for Sunday lunch. We both chose the turkey roast dinner. Our food came out after 25minutes which was very reasonable especially considering how busy they were. Our food was served hot on pre-warmed hot plates, a nice touch. The portions were generous, everything was well cooked and very tasty. We would return.

The Bell

Rating: 4.1 (1266) Price Level:
We have just come home following Christmas dinner at the Bell and we are all very impressed with the Bell. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children and we were exceptionally well looked after. The food was absolutely beautiful with very nice sized portions, nothing was left on the plate. The staff were superb and we were extremely well looked after by Ben. Can't recommend the Bell enough and we will definitely be returning in the new year! Happy Christmas all!!!
Rating: 5 / 5
Christmas Day meal superb food amazing staff happy freindly professional especially sue who went above & beyond for us
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a fabulous meal at The Bell. The food was delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We had 2 dogs with us and a baby which made serving our table a challenge and we're a rowdy lot so the patience exercised by the serving staff when working out who had ordered what was greatly appreciated. We genuinely had such a lovely experience and it was made so by the fantastic staff.
Rating: 4 / 5
Visited here recently for an evening meal with friends. Our starters were all OK, but very small portions. For mains, 3 of us had food that had to be freshly cooked (fish and chips etc) but I went for the chicken and ham hock pie with mash and veg. Everyone else enjoyed their food, my pie was awful! It had clearly just been microwaved, the pastry was so solid I struggled to cut it, the veggies were bland and overcooked and the mash was clearly instant mash, with a horrid grainy texture. I couldn't taste much ham and certainly didn't get any mustard flavour. I appreciate for the prices charged you're never going to get amazing food, but it was very disappointing. I also would have hoped for a question from the waiter as I left a good half of my meal, but it was cleared away with no comment. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was OK, but we certainly wouldn't hurry back. Oh, and also, the carpark had no lighting so it was really difficult to see where we were going!
