Jerry's Steakhouse, Cafe and wine bar
8 West St, Blandford Forum DT11 7AJ, UK | Restaurant P: 01258 488788
Rating: 4.9 (221) Price Level:
It's rare to find places that are a 5 star rating across the broad, but this is certainly one such place! The food was incredible - the starter was perfect, and the steak..... easily some of the best I have ever eaten! Cooked to perfection, and everything from the sauce to the mushrooms simply complemented it so well. We visited at lunch time, so had the place alsmot to ourselves, but I am sure that the service will be utmost during busy periods - and this place it popular! So you accept that during busy times there might be a bit more of a wait. Atmosphere was great - a lovely clean, modern and upbeat restaurant, and Jerry was a pleasure to chat to as well; clearly he values his customers and the amazing business he has built up in the area. We won't hesitate to recommend this steakhouse to friends and family alike, and look forward to coming back! It's a shame Google won't remove the obviously false 1 star review from someone who cannot accept that it's the Business that controls the opening times and not what Google lists (they're not in real time love!). So for anyone looking to go here, pay attention to the reviews that truly reflect what you will experience.

Stunning. The service was perfect, the food was immense and the decor is spectacular. This is honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to anywhere in the world. I regularly eat burgers when at "steakhouses" and I do this very regularly, the Bourgeois Burger I had at "Jerry's" is easily in my top 5 if all time. Flavours complimented each other perfectly and it was cooked perfectly too. Can't wait to go back to this place!!

Highly recommended, everything was excellent. A great deal of effort, thought and finesse has been put into both the food and the restaurant itself. I found the prices to be just right for the quality and quantity of food ordered. Definitely one of the best places I've eaten this year. We also met Jerry and he was lovely to talk to, please keep doing what you're doing as it is working really well!

An absolute must try & I will eat my hat if you don't fancy going back again soon!! đ 𤤠Seriously well worth a wee drive to come eat some very yummy food! đ Even better it is a local family grown, family owned business, so you'll be supporting an independent business and all the awesome staff who work there. â¤ď¸ This place is nestled in the cute Blandford Forum just a few steps away from the lovely Crown Hotel, very easy to find as it's on the same road just before Market Place. ⢠Parking nearby â ⢠There is seating on the ground floor and 1st floor. ⢠Toilets are upstairs on the 1st floor too (2 total). The bar and chefs kitchen are on the ground floor also, kitchen to the back just behind a curved wall which has the stairs behind it Its an old building and they've done a great job revitalising both the outside and the interior feels super premium. There's quite a few plug points with usb on them to, so decent if you have kids with devices or coming for a cheeky work meeting etc.. The food seriously good, came in good time & service was great from all the staff, including the chef and the owners mixing in with the awesome vibes. Whether you came here regularly or just passing through, you could feel like making some new friends here with the staff and owners. Also, their pizza from the takeaway a few doors down is damn good.. Got our fussy 11yr old lads approval! đ

My pool team had a meal at Jerry's Steakhouse 2 weeks ago. It was brilliant, fantastic steak, chips, mushroom and onion rings. Very nice sauce too. The Biscoff cheesecake was probably the best pudding I've had. Honestly it was amazing! đ I definitely want to go again.

Smashing little cafe run by lovely people. I was looked after for two whole days whilst i worked from the upstairs room. The coffee and tea is top drawer and the cakes, scones and soup were delicious.

A beautiful little cafĂŠ which is bright, cozy and welcoming. The coffee was delicious and the display of cakes makes it very difficult to choose. We settled on the chocolate brownie and it was definitely a wise choice. The staff were friendly and helpful in their recommendations, if you are in the area this cafĂŠ is a must!

I love this Cafe. I usually have a coffee, and it's so enjoyable, but my love is cakes - and theirs are fabulous. A great price too. The owners are really friendly, and helpful. Plus, if you have a dog, they're allowed too. It's a lovely atmosphere.

Popped into this cafĂŠ for a coffee stop during the afternoon. I had previously visited maybe a year or two ago but the inside was not as I remembered it. It turns out there has been a new owner hence the changes. Whilst I didnât eat this time, looking at whatâs on offer, I will be back. Oh, and the coffee was great btw.

Richard came a long at short notice and did an amazing job. He was thoughtful moving his work around the kids coming in from school and cleaned up after himself. Awesome effort would definitely use him again

Richard done a fantastic job of fitting all my electrics in the garden office. Including sockets (indoor and out) as well as my spotlights. Richard has previously fitted a ceiling light again I couldn't be happier with. Lovely guy and reasonably priced!

Now this, is a proper professional. Finn came in early with his coworkers and got the job done in no time. No hassles, no arguments, no nonsense. After suffering a horrible experience with another local tradesperson, this was a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
We needed to install smoke alarms in our daughterâs rental property-a relatively small job but important. We found Finn on Checkatrade and weâre very impressed with the reviews. Finn responded straightaway to our initial enquiry and gave us a quote. We arranged a date and time with the tenant and we met Finn at the property as arranged. The installation was very professional-quick and very tidy, and the alarms were fully tested. Canât thank Finn enough and would highly recommend him
Rating: 5 / 5
Prompt and reliable service for fitting of new ceiling light - would use this firm again. Arrived on time and work was done within a few days of accepting their quote.

Highly recommend F.B Electrical! Definitely be using them again. Thank you Finn. Update: We had our kitchen ripped out last Monday and I needed an electrian Tuesday before plastering on Wednesday. I phoned Finn as he has done previous work for us to see if he can come over, he was able to move his other jobs around to help and was here for half a day sorting the problems that needed doing, my kitchen has been fitted and he moved my one and only isolation switch I had for my oven and hob in one of my cupboards instead of it on show like it was. (See picture) He gave me an isolation switch for my oven, hob and fridge in one of my very small cupboards, and I now have two sockets where the old isolation switch was, We had an very old extension lead for the extractor fan lying on top of the kitchen wall cupboards which wasn't ideal, he put a nice socket in my extractor fan cupboard too. He also fitted a bathroom light, hall light and bedroom light aswell as updating my wall sockets in the kitchen, bedroom and lounge. I'm sure Finn did alot more that I haven't mentioned. Also instead of putting wires for my hob out side on show, he managed to feed them under the floorboards where there wasn't any tiles into the fuse box. Highly recommend, Great work and very tidy. Thanks again Finn, we really appreciate your hard work especially in 29° heat! âď¸

Flameport Electrical

Rating: 4.9 (19) Price Level:
John recently did a full rewire at my property where the electrics hadn't been touched since the 1960s. He was always polite, on time, and very neat and tidy. All work was performed to a high standard, and he really took the time to explain everything and suggest useful tips and tricks. We are extremely happy with the work and the little extras that John helped us with. The overall cost was very reasonable for the work that was put in. Highly recommended!
Rating: 5 / 5
Faultless service from John. We wanted an extractor fan installed when we uncovered an old air vent when remodelling the bathroom. John used the vent and gave recommendations for the type of fan and relocated our light switch to include connection to the extractor fan. Clear quote and spec. of product given and plenty of advice, together with relevant documentation and final invoice for a good price. We have plenty more to do in our old house and will not hesitate to use his services again.
Rating: 5 / 5
John did an EICR for insurance of my thatched house. He was thoroughly professional and helpful and his very detailed report was received by email late the same evening. I have no hesitation in recommending him for electrical work, and I plan to use him if and when I need any new installation.
Rating: 5 / 5
I have John on several occasions now and in each case the work has been excellent even going beyond the original scope of work on one occasion making a bad installation safe. All of this for what I consider a very reasonable price, highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
John was thorough, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable. He was very helpful with my recent electrical work, and I would not hesitate to recommend him and his high-quality service.

Wonderful birthday dinner. Lamb Scrumpit, Tuna Carpaccio, Pork Belly, Dorset Crab Linguine, Tiramisu (a little heavy for my preference, but still delicious) and Cheese and crackers. Weâll be back!
Rating: 5 / 5
Cracking little village pub, we popped in for a few drinks with friends and had a great time, we sat in the garden in the sun and it was extremely pleasant. Will be going back for some food in the future.
Rating: 5 / 5
We stopped in while visiting from America. I would consider the White House to be an upscale pub. The ambience is great! Lots of stone and heavy wooden beams. There were lots of locals there when we were there which is always a good sign. The staff was wonderful! The food was truly excellent! Every starter and entree was done to perfection! If we lived in the area we would be here often!
Rating: 5 / 5
A group of us are lunch at the white horse yesterday, the food is exquisite, there were 7 of us and every plate we were served was exceptionally presented and tasted amazing!!!! We will be back, what a memorable time. Thankyou so much. The village this pub is situated in is idyllic, like a fairy tale.

The Pantry at The Grainstore

Wonderful little place to stop for breakfast. Food was tasty and decently priced!
Rating: 5 / 5
Had some lovely food here after browsing in the Grainstore emporium. A good selection of homemade cakes and hot drinks, with hot food on offer too. I had the vegan breakfast wrap which I can definitely recommend.
Rating: 5 / 5
So I have been going to the pantry for a few years now, I can honestly say in all that time I have never had a bad meal, not even a mediocre meal, every one has been top notch, at work we see this as the place to go at lunch, pricing is reasonable, for example I have just had a full English, sausage bacon beans mushroom egg toast with a pot of tea for under ÂŁ10, great value but all good quality local products. It is the place to go
Rating: 5 / 5
Stopped here unexpectedly for brunch. Ordered meaty breakfast wrap and bacon sandwich and 2 coffees. Asked for bacon to be well done and no problem. Everything came out beautifully cooked and very tasty. Only let down were 2 families who deemed it totally acceptable to let their young children run around screaming whilst everyone else was trying to enjoy a nice brunch. Totally ignorant.
Rating: 5 / 5
My god, this is a find. My husband loved the breakfast wrap and I had the biggest most tasty salad ever, you basically pick from a list to make your perfect salad. It's in an odd place, in an industrial estate, but once you're inside, the atmosphere and layout makes you feel you're in a farm shop. Gentle music, comfy well spaced tables. We will definitely make this a regular visit and add it to our "places" for lunch or coffee and cake.

James has done several jobs for our village hall. We are very happy with the standard and quality of James' work. He is reliable, tidy, knowledgeable and friendly. His charges are reasonable too - thoroughly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
James is a rare find. He's great at his job and he cares more about it being done well than you do. Cheerful, diligent, ever so reliable, really good at explaining and advising plus fair fees mean we always go to James.
Rating: 5 / 5
Efficient, resolved electrical issues in a timely fashion. Explained what needed to be done before starting the work and explained in depth what was done. Great work.
Rating: 5 / 5
I was delighted with the quality of service provided. James helped connect a new electric towel heater and install an external socket at my home. Great job, very thorough and efficient. You wouldnât have even known he was here afterwards - super clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and definitely use again for any electrical work!

Wessex Electrics Ltd
Business Park, King's Stag, Sturminster Newton DT10 2AU, UK | Electrician P: 07734 059190
Rating: 5 (7) Price Level:
Christian provided a great service. Initially we discussed a number of possible solutions to the problem, ranging from a simple installation on the existing cabling set up, all the way to a 'gold plated/future proof' solution involving uprating the power to the detached garage and installation of a second point in anticipation of purchasing a second EV. He was clear explaining the pros/cons of each solution and on alighting on a course of action, clearly explained each stage as he completed the work. We were very happy with the quality of the work/final installation.
Rating: 5 / 5
Christian responded to my ask for help quickly and was able to attend next day. He clearly advised his rates before I accepted. We have an old house with very random and complicated circuits but Christian was able to methodically narrow down the breaker issue to a bare wire in a socket and also found and fixed a break in a ring main. We were impressed with his approach, he kept us informed of what and why he was doing what he was doing, and he was polite, friendly and he left the house clean and tidy. Would not hesitate to recommend Wessex Electrics Ltd.
Rating: 5 / 5
Excellent..and will be my go to person when I next need electrics etc sorted .. also much appreciated Christianâs ability to come up with great solutions for living in an old unconventional building !
Rating: 5 / 5
Christian gives a very professional, efficient service. He has completed two jobs recently - l would not hesitate to recommend him in the future.
Rating: 5 / 5
Christian provides us with top service. Gave us pros and cons of different options to solve our electrical issues Can highly recommend
