Cafe by Jo is absolutely lovely! I came here with my grandad as he had recommended the place, and immediately we were greeted with a smile from Jo herself. When ordering our drinks, she already knew what my grandad would like even though he had only been there twice before which shows her dedication to customer service, as well as lovely personality. The hot chocolate and coffee we had was delicious, and the decor is modern yet sophisticated. Overall, we loved it and will be back!

A delightful new cafe has recently opened its doors in Wimborne, offering a charming and affordable pitstop. The menu, while concise, delivers big on flavor. The decor is another delightful surprise. It's quirky and interesting, making for a memorable ambiance. While the coffee wasn't quite a standout (just a bit middle-of-the-road), the lovely staff more than made up for it. Thirsty Bird has a wonderfully eclectic decor that I find appealing and quirky. We booked to take friends for a lazy Sunday breakfast. We were met and served by the wonderful front-of-house team, who were friendly and delightful. The coffee is sublime, and we take ours black and sugar-free. You can't hide bad coffee ☕️. We ordered the Bacon Ciabatta and two Make-your-Own breakfasts. We had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, with halloumi and a side salad [a great alternative option to bread], and we had bacon and scrambled eggs, with halloumi. The food was delicious and beautifully plated, and the servings were generous. We will be back.

We attended the Mexican night a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. The event was very reasonably priced at just £25. The food was amazing, freshly prepared and the portions were extremely generous with a delicious cocktail included. Couldn't have asked for a nicer evening and the staff were amazing, looking forward to the next one!

Lovely intimate eatery with caring hosts. Attended a private party there snd the buffet mezzo food was really good. Nice drinks too. The food menu is a little limited owing to their compact kitchen facility- but they make up for it in personal attention and ambiance.

Beware their hot food service ends at 3pm but if you're a few minutes late they're really nice and can make select menu items. Loved the chicken burger here after finishing a long hike from Studland

A food stall at the end of the beach, about a 5min walk. Outdoor seating but sometimes not enough as it gets busy, beware of the gulls!! A great view out over the beach & water. We had a bit of wait because they were flat out. It provides breakfasts up to 11am but you can still buy baguettes. Usual hot n cold drink, & other food, not cheap but you’re paying for the location.

We picked the Golden Fox after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. I felt the bar area was a little dark, but we were soon accommodated in the restaurant. Really good to see that the restaurant is a no dog zone. The menu is not extensive but with the daily specials there should be something for everyone. It's worth noting they do not have a children's menu but modify some of the menu items to make a child's portion. Our 11 year old Granddaughter made short work of the adult 8 oz steak! The food was very well cooked and presented and portions were generous. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices were good A great new find to add to our list of "must returns"

This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The fish platter had a most interesting selection of fish and was beautifully presented . The service was most friendly and courteous. Our only negative comment was that the garden , where we ate, could have been tidied up with some more colourful bushes.

My husband and I ate at the Golden Fox after reading great reviews on the food, the staff and the facilities. We were not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic food. Wonderful staff and spotlessly clean facilities. The whole place had a wonderful ambiance which only enhanced the whole experience. They were also very welcoming of our dog Max.

I took my wife here for her 40th birthday last Friday. Our meal was booked for 8pm, we had a friendly greeting at the door and shown to our table. Lovely decor and a very nice atmosphere. My wife ordered a red wine and I ordered the Turkish larger, which was very nice. We're ordered the hot Meze, which was amazing and we loved our main courses. The staff checked if everything was good a couple of times. All in all, we really enjoyed our experience at Rosemary.

Finally tried out Rosemary in Wimborne. Booked a table for 8pm and was shown to our table promptly on arrival. Decor is nice. Some tables are very close together. The menu is varied, so something for everyone. However with the lighting and gold embossed sections on the menu it was a little hard to read. I ordered a glass Turkish rose wine, which was lovely. Breads and dips arrived at the table and were complimentary (nice touch). We had the mixed meze to start, which was great. Main meals were good size portions and very good. The restaurant was busy, so the noise level was quite high. My only criticism was the attentiveness of staff. Once are food arrived at the table, we were not checked on or asked if we would like more drinks etc for the rest of the evening. Would I go back…yes definitely. Food was great. Go and give it a try.

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Rosemary Wimborne located in the heart of Wimborne Minster and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The ambiance was both elegant and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and professional. Our celebration began with a delightful array of coctails and starters, followed by an exquisite dinner. The menu featured a wide selection of dishes, all prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients and cooked to perfection. We capped off the night with a wonderful birthday cake, the perfect end to a perfect day. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. I felt compelled to submit this review in response to the negative one below as I was very surprised at the negative comments. I have been using AJW for at least 20 years now and most recently for a Subaru alternator rebuild this week. AJW has always been my ‘go to’ place for alternator or starter motor refurbishment and I can honestly say that they have never let me down. In my experience, their refurbished units are easily as good as new or exchange units and I have never had one fail on me. Alan and his family have always been a delight to work with. Granted, their premises are a little scruffy and unorthodox, but that gives them a certain charm in my book. ( As does the old Morris in the driveway.) It is very unfortunate that someone feels fit to ‘troll’ a small family business in the way of the one star review below, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. My experiences with Alan and AJW are very long term and additionally very recent and I can find no way to fault the business from my own point of view, so I can only say they I will have no hesitation in continuing to use AJW and would thoroughly recommend others to do the same.
