A very informative two hour tour of the vineyards and winery process. Interesting facts and entertaining anecdotes given by our guide, Archie. Well worth the visit. The wine samples were all excellent.

Did a tour & wine tasting here on 9th July. Tour guide Andrew was very good & made the whole experience fun. The wines were good & staff very friendly. Lovely patio to sit & enjoy a glass or two after the tasting & also a very well stocked shop.

We had a wonderful, early evening tour of the vineyard. Andrew was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine-tasting and delicious 3-course meal in The Swan on-site restaurant afterwards. Would thoroughly recommend the Luxury Dining Experience as we also came home with a complimentary bottle of bubbly!

Amy's Pantry

Rating: 4.6 (252) Price Level:

Stumbled upon this place on a visit to Tenterden, the food and drink is excellent and who wouldn't want to be in the cheerful, friendly, busy but not crowded. They were accommodating with slight changes to the adult menu for my slightly fussy teen. Nothing bad to say.

An attractive menu of options for lunch. Coffee is good. Nice to see a wee selection of local beers, ciders and wines. The toastie was delicious and the side salad tasty and varied: the peppers are a nice touch. I liked all the plants and the local community notices. Would be better if the customer toilet didn’t open into their prep area but I guess they can’t put it anywhere else, or they would have…. I would go back.

Unsure where to start! Oli was the most engaging, informative chef. The food was simple , but oh so delicious, tiny touches like micro herbs 🌿, dehydrated vegetables 🥒 just lush. I want to head hunt him, but…. That would be unfair to all those loyal Customers . Superb to you all.

Favourite place to eat in Tenterden, in some ways very different to most cafes which is what makes it stand out. Great for kids, they have some toys for them to play with which is a really nice touch

I visited here with my best friend from our school days, we hadn't seen each other for quite a few years and each had driven over an hour to meet up, so it was important we had a nice brunch. I'm so glad we chose Amy's Pantry. The staff were delightful, very friendly and the service was super efficient. We both had the Vegan breakfast, which was served piping hot and we both thoroughly enjoyed. My drink was the most delicious mango and coconut sorbet, so tasty and refreshing. Prices are spot on, as were the portion sizes. The atmosphere is really pleasant with interesting decor, tables are well spaced out so you don't feel cramped. A delightful place which I would highly recommend and as Arnie says, "I'll be back" 😊

I’ve been going here for years. It’s the only place I go. It’s so much more than a place to have the best coffee in town, it’s also a community. They champion local produce, serve a small but high quality selection of sweet treats and savoury dishes, and always have a kind word and smile for each of their customers. Great work team Nutmeg and Coldblow Coffee 💙💙💙

This is our favourite cafe! Amazing hot chocolate and food (especially the lemon feather cake and sourdough toasties). We always feel welcomed and enjoy our (very frequent) visits. Small but friendly cafe. Love it there!

This is by far my all time favorite coffee shop, there are a huge selection of choices that manage to cater for everyone and almost all the produce and products sold help support loads of local businesses! Nutmeg is a local haven, not many coffee shops give you the chance to drink coffee from beans roasted just a few miles away, not to mention that every coffee is also served with care and love from all the amazing staff

Fat Ox

P: 01580 766033

Rating: 4.5 (149) Price Level:

The food was great with very generous portions. The staff were lovely. My only slightly negative comment was the overpowering smell of bleach which was a bit off putting. If we were in the area again we would certainly return.

We visited the Fat Ox in Tenterden today, having won a meal for two on a facebook competition.. we would have happily paid for the meal as it was all amazing. We both had the pork belly with crackling, pigs in blankets on the side, one portion was plenty for two to share, and a Biscoff cheesecake for pudding. We both had clean plates and were really impressed. The pub was busy and had a lovely atmosphere.. Landlady Amy and her barmaid Hannah were really friendly and provided fantastic service. Would definitely go back!

Met some friends for coffee and had lovely time in friendly atmosphere. The scone was very good and the shop was interesting with fresh produce. There is a car park so easy to park and a ramp up to shop so easy access for anyone disabled. They sell a good range of plants.

Friends had told us that they had a great breakfast at Silcocks Farm Shop and suggested we should pop in and give it a try. Firstly it is a beautiful place with plenty of character and is very nicely presented and maintained with a lovely atmosphere. The shop has plenty of great farm produce for sale at very reasonable prices, we only had a quick look around but what we did see was all high quality, maybe when we have more time we will pop in again and have a proper look. The breakfast was delicious and service was exceptional and the price was very reasonable. I can definitely recommend the full English breakfast! Overall 10 out of 10 and look forward to visiting again.

We have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times and loved it Today after a really hard day at work we really fancied a curry but were to tired to go out. I didn’t realise that they did delivery to our village which is a good 15 minutes drive from the restaurant. I booked it online paid cash on delivery and ordered all our favourites that we eat in the restaurant. It’s was so easy and in under an hour a cheerful lady delivered our curry as promised. It was just as nice as the food in the restaurant. I highly recommended this place the service either if you eat in or order a delivery is brilliant and the food is fantastic.

That was surprising! We happened to come in relatively late on Sunday evening without a reservation and were greeted and served very friendly. Questions about the menu were patiently explained to us, so we were happy with our choice of dishes. Without exception, all the dishes we ordered were very tasty and tasted of different flavors. We are very excited and will definitely come back. Thanks!

One of Kent's best bakery/patisseries? You bet! On Tenterden High Street, among a smattering of cake shops and bakeries, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. Every bite here tastes like it was crafted by a pastry wizard and it is. We dove into a selection of their filled baguettes, slathered with salted butter, and let’s just say, our taste buds threw a party. And the almond croissant? Don’t even get me started. Imagine the fluffiest cloud marrying the smoothest almond creme pat – that's what it’s like. The sausage croissant was a savory masterpiece, (a touch overcooked) and the cappuccino was like a warm hug in a cup. Chris and Graham have truly worked their magic, turning this small shop into a sparkling gem. If you’re in the mood to pamper yourself with some top-notch treats, make a beeline for this bakery. Your taste buds will thank you!

Huge selection of amazing home made bread & pastries which the owner makes himself! This place is brilliant, located in the town centre, with indoor and outdoor seating, definitely would recommend if your looking for a place to stop and have a drink!

My sister and I went to this lovely cafe today. First time I’ve been but my sister has been several times. I am coeliac and there was. so much choice ( something I’m not often used to having),, We had a lovely sandwich which we shared to leave room for cake. So many to chose from. I chose a delicious cheesecake and my sister who isn’t gluten free had the chocolate and cherry cake. We both thought the cakes were yummy. Thank you for having such a big gluten free choice, we’ll definitely be visiting again soon.

We found this cafe by chance as the cafe we normally stop at on route home was closed. We were greeted on arrival by Jo. I am gluten free and was delighted when Jo told me I could get a gluten free breakfast. My friends had the breakfast bagel while I tucked into sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, mushroom and tomato with gluten free toast and real butter. My friends reported that the bagels were delicious. The cafe was an unexpected gem . It has a lovely atmosphere and Jo the waitress is so friendly. Ceci the owner/chef is also lovely.

I visited Peggotty's Tea Shoppe with friends after a recommendation from someone living locally. We had the Tenterden Special Afternoon Tea which was £17pp and included a sandwich, a fruit or plain homemade scone, served with homemade jam and clotted cream, a slice of cake and a pot of loose leaf tea or a cup of filter coffee. The tea room is quaint and very small in size so booking is definitely required. We arrived 10 minutes early for our table and did not receive the warmest of welcome, so I would say don't turn up any earlier than your booked time as there is no space to sit and wait for your table. I decided to try the camomile tea but didn't enjoy the taste but the English breakfast tea was really nice. All the food tasted amazing; the sandwich fillings were so flavoursome, we had smoked salmon and cream cheese, BLT, prawn and avocado & brie and streaky bacon. We all chose the fruit scone and they were so warm and fluffy. The rolo cake tasted lovely but not an overpowering rolo taste that I was hoping for! The price was incredibly reasonable, I just wish the service was friendlier as I just felt disappointed after our visit as if we were an inconvenience to them.
