Delightful texmex restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food. Service was friendly and prompt. I think the tortillas should have been bigger: too small for fajitas, and a bit more spice would have been more authentic, but these are small points.

A gorgeous pub on the Creek. Myself, the hubster and our friends went for our 2nd lunch together today. The friends had ribs, which looked amazing! Hubster had the classic beef burger and I has the grilled chicken caesar burger. Everyone enjoyed, but personally I lived the chicken burger. Chips are skin on chips which were really nice and ever so slightly salted. Staff were attentive, but not in your face. A lovely place for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised by this little find on the backstreets of Faversham. It’s a pub that does Mexican food and actually gives a good account of itself. Wide range of beers on tap cover most tastes, as well as usual wine list offerings and cocktails. Not sure cocktails are quite up to scratch but the food more than made up for it. We opted for various types of fajitas (chicken, pork belly and vegan) and all were very tasty. General feel of the place is warm and clean (we were there on a cold wet night) with nicely designed features here and there. Staff were incredibly friendly and gave you the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. When other Mexican offerings nearby are often hard to get a table at, this now will go on our list of decent options.

Nice setting almost on the water. We sat outside but there is good seating inside too. Car park right at the pub which is handy. The interior of the pub is very well fitted, nice bar, and the toilets are well kept and clean. The food was really good. No complaints there. The service was mediocre at best with our food arriving in stages and missing one order, and no real apology from any of the staff. Once again the food was tops. So all I all a solid 4/5

Cosgroves

Cosgroves, 14 Preston St, Faversham ME13 8NS, UK | Cafe
P: 01795 537866

Rating: 4.7 (131) Price Level:

The bacon sandwich was spot on. Great quality bacon, perfectly cooked, with soft, buttery bread and just the right amount of ketchup. Not too greasy, not swimming in fat like some places. You can tell the new owner is making some real improvements. It’s just what Faversham needs, and I can’t wait to come back!

I once lived in the swale area close to Faversham and always termed Cosgroves as a favourite. Now I live in the west Midlands but still upon seeing family back here in North Kent I couldn't resist coming back here where friendly staff remember me well. One place for a meal or coffee should not be missed.

The Cow Shed at The Ship Inn

12 Ospringe St, Faversham ME13 8TL, UK | Bar
P: 01795 532408

Rating: 4.5 (417) Price Level:

Came across this pub when on the hunt for Sunday roast and so glad we did. Excellent staff that were welcoming and friend. Mainly a meat menu (unsurprisingly as it’s called the Cow Shed!) but still had veggie gravy when requested. We had roast dinners and they did not disappoint, so yummy I forgot to take a photo. They were accommodating with food variation like no butter on the veg or two plates for the kids to share their food and our requests for extra apple sauce for our large group 😊. They have super cute events on the lead up to Christmas with gingerbread decorating and Santa coming for breakfast! The team also do pop up catering. I would suggest this to anyone needing a place for food without the loud music and still load of character, locals and atmosphere. P.S try the Frickles I dare you!

Really great pub here! The food was divine and the garden is a good size, came here for a friends birthday I would deffo recommend. Only missing 1 star simply because my food order was missed and took a fair while to get it but everyone else was served promptly 😊 They also have the alcohol free gin which was lovely to see as not many places have the 0% options

Rating: 4.5 (494) Price Level:

The Bear does it again! Brilliant Saturday and Sunday lunch. If they had rooms, we could just move in. To top it all, lovely roast potatoes just put on the bar, no charge, for everyone to enjoy. If you want to experience a proper home cooked British meal you need to go no further than The Bear. Great selection of beer and wine. Real sense of family run establishment. How lucky we are to have this marvellous boozer on our doorstep.

When You are here in Faversham have a rest at the bear inn! Simply good! This pub is so wonderful British! We were glad to be here. ...and taste the glorious SHEPHERD NEAME, which comes from here! As a German I like a good beer - especially Pilsner, but when I'm in England I only drink local! Of course! On my first England trip many years ago SHEPHERD NEAME was the first English beer I ever had, unforgettable! "Spitfire" is my favorite but a Master Brew is also very nice! AND: Don't drink when You must drive!!

A decent pub with good, standard pub grub. The beer works too. The Castle is on the Lower Road, not far from Bysing Woods and the Gunpowder Mills (also a short stroll to the water). The garden seems to have been redone well. Decor is part pub, part cafe.

Popped into this little pub for a drink - location is a bit off-centre for Faversham, down toward the quayside behind the big brewery - but really only a couple of minutes away from Market Street and the bustle of the town centre. Nice place inside, more spacious than it appears, with a bar in the centre and tables in areas to either side. Didn’t eat on this occasion, but the food menu looked excellent and they have good reviews, so will come back to try. The beer was Peroni; as it was and as it should be. The atmosphere was nice, relatively quiet and relaxed. Chill. Overall decent and well worth a visit.

Nice traditional pub and relatively spacious restaurant offering a rotating selection of real ales and very good food - my go to eatery in the town. They have managed to get the balance right between the restaurant and pub, therefore whether you are eating or drinking (or both) you will not be disappointed. Yesterday, my husband and I had lunch at this cafe for the first time. We were immediately impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They were very welcoming, knowledgeable re their menu and products and nothing appearing to be too much trouble. The quality of the food was very good for the reasonable price. The cafe being very clean, light and airy with pleasant, but not too loud, background music. Unfortunately we don't live in this part of the country otherwise we would be regular customers. One of the owners, who introduced herself as Hazel, to ensure the food etc was all we wanted it to be, was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this cafe and would highly rate it.

Lovely little cafe with fun 50s music playing at just the right level so we could still talk easily. We had hot salt beef and dill pickle sandwiches served with crisps and salad, they were delicious! My husband had a cappuccino and I had a pot of tea and proper china cup and saucer. This place is fabulous and we'll be back for cake next time we're in the area!

Nice bright and clean ambiance. Pretty inside. Friendly table service. Lots of choices including pancakes and French toast!!! We only came in for coffee and of course we needed to have the apple pie and nata! Had a nice relaxed coffee after exploring the area. Apple pie to take away and one of the slices barely made it to the car! Will definitely come back again to try the other stuff in the menu!

A lovely little cafe in the heart of Faversham. The staff and owners are alway so welcoming and attentive. Fantastic Gluten Free range which is rare to find with an independently run establishment. Our son is partial to a ham sandwich and enjoys the generous filling of freshly cut ham. So pleased this is on our doorstep.
