Taphouse Beer Cafe

Rating: 4.7 (301) Price Level:

🍻 A Taste of Oktoberfest at Taphouse Beer Cafe! 🍻 If you’re looking for authentic Oktoberfest vibes, Taphouse Beer Cafe is the place to be! Their festive grub was absolutely top-notch, from the mouthwatering bratwursts, perfectly paired with an impressive selection of beers. The pretzel was soft and salty, just the way it should be, and the mustard was perfect. Service was spot on.

Lovely craft beer pub/bar right in the middle of Deal. Thean behind the bar was really friendly and made some good recommendations. Plenty of seating inside and out, and dog friendly too!

A really nice bar that is eclectically decorated and concentrates on craft ale, pizza and music. Both the ale and the pizza were excellent (the pizzas are named after now defunct pubs of Deal). There is also a large selection of low alcohol or non alcoholic beers, so no excuse not to make the journey.

MARGHERITAS

52 Middle St, Deal CT14 6HT, UK | Italian Restaurant
P: 01304 792325

Rating: 4.5 (268) Price Level:

Very rare to find an Italian style family restaurant outside of Italy. But this is one, and a very good one too. We started with the sharing board and there was plenty , various meats, four very good cheeses, sun dried tomatoes, olives and various pickles. We also shared a seafood pizza. It was beautifully crisp with clams, mussels, prawns and squid on a tomato base, a bit suprised there was cheese too but it worked well. We also had a handmade pasta dish each. Mine was tortoloni with black truffles and burratta, it was wonderful. My husband carried on with a seafood spaghetti dish. It looked and tasted great. By this time we were too full for the very attractive desserts, but we will be back to try them. The place is quite small and booking is essential. But there is a lovely atmosphere and we had a table at the front so we could see the sea . The staff were faultless and worked very hard to ensure everything was perfect. We both loved Margheritas, it is well worth a visit.

My partner and I made a reservation last week, and have to say probably one of the nicest meals we’ve had out in a while! Really affordable prices, a great atmosphere and such lovely fresh food. We both had bruschetta and pizza, couldn’t fault neither. The skin on fries came lovely and seasoned too… the staff couldn’t have done enough to accommodate us. No surprise that the place didn’t have a single empty table this evening. We will definitely be booking again soon!

We were lucky to be squeezed in on a bank holiday Sunday. The food was wonderful. I’m not a vegan anymore but have to avoid dairy. This lovely little restaurant caters for everyone. My vegan pizza was heaven. The faux cheese, absolutely amazing 💯

We were a table 7 and a toddler. We were served promptly by our lovely waiter vlad who was very helpful and a great knowledge on the menu. We had starters and mains and there was empty plates all round. All our food came together. We took puddings home which were also so good. Lovely family restaurant. We will definitely be returning. Well done margaritas what a great team you have đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

Excellent. Looked up "best bacon sandwich" and this place came up. It did not disappoint..... had a bacon bap and it was loaded with bacon on a soft lightly toasted bap. Wife had sausage and onion bap and was equally impressed. The dog loved his tit bits handed under the table. Coffee was beautiful too. Thank you.

Delightful little cafe with an incredibly attentive owner who's more than happy to make recommendations or alterations if required. The mango and stilton sausage roll was excellent (it's a more subtle flavour than it sounds like) and the toasties are very generously filled. A great find.

This is a warm friendly place and the delicious coffee adds many points to it. Unfortunately, the curried lentil soup was far too spicy for us and the salad plate we didn’t enjoy- strong flavours that clashed, in my opinion. But the cheese toastie was lovely, dessert was amazing and so was the coffee. Staff are helpful and very friendly.

Me and Wilson (my GD puppy) absolutely love going to Algar Lodge it’s the best dog friendly farm shop around. Everyone is so kind and welcoming despite his size they always make us feel comfortable. The food is amazing and the treat counter has too many delicious options it’s hard to leave without something you didn’t go into buy 🤭 Highly recommend this lovely place to everyone with or without dogs!!

Great farmshop with lots of local produce and products on offer. The cafe offered some nice food, although lacked a range of lighter breakfast/lunch options. The portions were very large, which was great. The vegetarian breakfast was superb and the sausage Patty muffin with bacon and egg was delicious. Unfortunately the sauce coating the loaded chips was very sickly and overpowering and one of our meals was bought out 10 minutes later than the rest of our meals. Overall a superb farm shop and a good cafe.

This is one of the originals. Fantastic family run friendly cafe , still keeping prices affordable for everyone. There is a lovely nostalgic feel to this place and all the staff are so friendly. Food was spot on , just what we needed. A decent sandwich and milky coffee , none of this 'hackney vibe' type place. Really enjoyed our family visit here for a spot of lunch. Next time I'll be getting some authentic Italian dishes. Thankyou.

I absolutely love this place, we were met by the adorable Italian lady owner, she was very professional and attentive. The place is located on a corner at the west end of the High Street. The place has a very generous menu with lots of choices(vegan, vegetarian, milk intolerant, gluten free). I strongly recommend their baked potatoes!!! There is off street parking areas around the area (pay and display or pay with the RingGo app). Famy friendly and dog friendly. The place is all in one level and step free. Very affordable prices.

Fantastic local family run coffee shop. The staff are brilliantly friendly and attentive. Service and speed was great. I had the beef Ragu with pasta. It was home made and only cost ÂŁ6.50. I'd have happily paid double for the quality of food. The sandwiches and baguettes looked equally as good. Highly recommended. I'll be coming back.

The Dining Club Ltd

69 Middle St, Deal CT14 6HP, UK | Restaurant
P: 01304 373569

Rating: 4.7 (68) Price Level:

We live locally and have been quite a few times. Obviously food is the main thing and it's fantastic. Really interesting too. But I think the point to note is it's such a different experience from a standard restaurant. Like having a chef's taster menu, lots of small courses and you choose to go on a night where the menu is up your street. Really though, the fun is having dishes cooked and brought to you that you might not have chosen. It's so interesting trying new combinations . You feel exceptionally well looked after throughout. A bit like going to a really good chef's house for a dinner party I suppose. Very reasonable for what it is and the hard work that's gone in to every menu. Do yourself a favour, get a list of menus, choose a night that suits you, and have a wonderful treat of an evening.

The Dining Club is less a restaurant and more an intimate dining experience. You choose from a carefully curated menu and eat the always delicious food in the nooks and crannies of this Georgian, wonderfully atmospheric building. Every room has a different vibe making it a different experience each time. Scottie and Suzanne really have done something amazing with this space. And they support local businesses too, both with their food sourcing and room hire. I host a monthly meet-up for late-diagnosed adults with ADHD here. And there are pop-up events and workshops throughout the year. Thank you, Suzanne and Scottie, the Dining Club is such an asset to Deal 🙏❤️

Lovely pub, very busy, good ale. Visited twice, whilst on a break. Major busy as football was being shown. Had an amazing Sunday roast, one of the best I've ever had. Roast beef, as everything else was sold out, but that's to be expected as it was gone five. You can't tip by card as the don't accept tips by card, only cash. Staff were bright, fun and engaging. Been here many times. Great open square that overlooks the sea. It is shared with another pub/restaurant which gives two choices of menu. The kitchen works very hard to get good food out as fast as they can. Today was very busy and they still served us within 40 mins - the staff told me before they took the order, so no dramas! Had a long beer watching the world go by whilst waiting. Also gazed at all the other food choices as each table was served - they all look great. Ours was the standard seaside fare of fish and chips. Fat and juicy fish, triple cooked chunky chips and loads of oetis pois; and the King's Head burger - a great portion fries, good quality bap and very large burger (other half struggled 🤣). Good service by the team. We will return.

We discovered this little gem in Deal to celebrate our anniversary. The outside of the pub is beautiful with colourful flowers and it’s really inviting. We were greeted by a lovely young guy who helped us to check in and even offered to take our bags for us as we would be staying in room 7 at the top of the hotel. We had a lovely spacious room with en suite. It has a spectacular view of the pier. I’ve only given it a 4 (please bear in mind we loved our room these are just tips to make the room a 5). One of the lamps in our room wasn’t working, which we reported to one of the staff at the bar, but what would be so helpful would be a couple of USB sockets in the room. We forgot our chargers so weren’t able to charge our phones (obviously our fault entirely) but maybe something to think about for future guests. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and hot. All of the staff were amazing, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to somewhere where everyone was simply kind, friendly and helpful, they are a credit to you. Thank you for making our stay a really enjoyable one. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll definitely recommend you to anyone who asks.
