We had a problem with lighting in our downstairs bathroom with the existing fitting tripping the consumer unit. Contacted Jackson Electricals and James was on the case immediately, arriving as he said he would at 9.00am the following morning. I cannot praise his work, attention to detail and prompt response too highly. James is the best electrician I’ve known since buying my first property in 1988. Thanks for a very good job well done at a very reasonable price. Superb service all round. Thanks James

Jackson Electrical Services Ltd did a fantastic job of fixing a faulty cable in a difficult to access area of our kitchen, which was causing our circuit to trip. The whole process was so easy, with communication from James brilliant from the outset. He managed to squeeze us in during a very busy week and we couldn’t be more delighted with the thorough service, competitive prices and huge wealth of knowledge. If you’re looking for an honest, local and reputable business, then look no further!

What a treat this was! Incredible food & drinks selection and even though the particular treat I came for had sold out, the wonderful staff there put something special together for me which was so delicious! Also made my husband another drink on the house as he had mistakenly ordered the wrong thing…no fuss what so ever and even when he insisted on paying for it, they said not to which was so lovely. Really went above and beyond for us and I can not wait to return many more times in the future. For the glorious food and drink, for the stunning layout and display of the restaurant and for the beautiful people working there and making it so warm and welcoming! Thank you very much 😊

Literally our favourite place in the whole of Canterbury! We're here at least once a week. If we lived in town we'd be here every single day. The food is amazing, the coffee is perfect and the girls couldn't do enough for you. Please support a local family business

Twas but a few years ago when I, accompanied by a few of my closest family members, took a trip to the utopian state of Greece. We enjoyed a remarkable stay, engaging in many a consummation of Greek foods. As soon as we returned, we felt a pang in our stomachs, nay, a yearning to return to the culinary delights of the country. The Amalis Caffé is the closest we have since come. Situated just outside the centre of Canterbury, the Caffé is a five minute walk from the nearest parking, and contains many an exciting option for breakfast, as well as many treats to indulge your guilty pleasures. (yummy) I have been many times, and there is a generally muted atmosphere, which is just what I was searching for, as it allows me to enjoy their culinary delights in peace. Food service is very fast, and water is provided to wash down all your continental gastronomic adventures. Would recommend to anyone searching for a slice of the Mediterranean in the south-east of England.

Love it here. The best Greek goodies I've had outside of Greece and the coffee is top notch. I always visit when I'm in Canterbury. Portions are generous and food is delicious and tastes so authentic. It's a lovely vibe in there too.

One Call Electric installed Sockets in my shed (Man Cave) The work carried out was excellent, the armoured cable from the house to shed was installed along the bottom of the garden fence and barely visible. The sockets in the shed were installed exactly where I asked and the trim round the door was laid brilliantly. Super happy with everything they did. Would totally recommend this company.

A job completed absolutely on time and to order, with all points of it very professionally as well as punctually performed. We were struck by the care taken in the scoping out and, thanks to the clear explanations (and documentation) that we received, would have full confidence in the after-sales service which is available if needed. P.S. Six months after those sentences were posted, a second very satisfying recourse to this company enables us to reaffirm every word. The latest job, like the first one, was thoroughly scoped out and very tidily finished. It was an excellent service all the way from initial reconnaissance to installation, with valuable advice at either end of the process about what might best go where.

Las Iguanas is hands down the best place to go for a fun, vibrant dining experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy, and the staff were beyond amazing. They were so lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire evening, making us feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the cocktails! They have an incredible selection, but the piña colada is an absolute standout—perfectly blended, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweetness. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had! The happy hour deals are also fantastic, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or celebrate a special occasion. On top of that, the food was delicious with a great variety of flavors and dishes to choose from. It’s clear that Las Iguanas puts a lot of thought and effort into every part of the experience, from the quality of the drinks to the warm, welcoming service. Whether you're popping in for cocktails or a full meal, this place never disappoints. I can’t recommend it enough this is truly the best spot in town for great food, amazing drinks, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back!

Our quest to find the ultimate burger bar may finally be over. The burgers were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing alongside a gorgeous portion of cheesy chips. The service was quick, and the staff were polite. If you're looking for awesome burgers, check this place out....Hopefully, they'll open a shop on Ashford soon.

This was genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve had in the UK (coming from an American). The burgers were juicy and the flavor was incredible. The duck fries were also amazing—perfectly crispy and delicious. The location is pretty small, so large parties should probably do take out, but as a group of 5, it worked out well. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this spot!

Nice atmosphere, food and drink were served quickly. I was surprised the burger looked like the picture and it tasted so good. I got Cajun fries Regular, with BRG burger and a coke for around £18, £10 burger, £5 for fries, £2-3 for coke. Worth having a bite. Might be worth bringing cash as the electronic payments machine sometimes does not work.

100% amazing!!!! Hands down, the best burger we ever had. Tasty, flavoursome, fresh ingredients. All flavours work well together, without one flavour, overpowering the other one. We ordered the blue cheese burger ,and the PIG /pulled pork, and two generous portions of chips ( skin on and cheese) . Plus a cider each. Staff were friendly and helpful. The place it self was very clean and tidy. We don’t live close ( rather quite far away near Leeds) but if we lived closer, we would be regulars. It’s a must visit place !

I went to the lovely cat cafe for my birthday in February, and for a general visit later in the year. And I loved every minute of it. The food and drinks were delicious, and seeing the sweet faces of all the cats was such an experience. Being at uni, I missed my cats back at home so it was so refreshing to see these gorgeous kitties. They are all so cared for by the team and I cannot wait to go again soon!

Visited with my friends for my birthday, in late August, & all of us absolutely loved it! The staff were super nice, the kitties were adorable & the chocolate cake is to die for! We got to look around and find the kitties hiding in different places, got to feed them, pet them and just look at them being adorable. Safe to say every single one of us walked out with a heart full of joy and planning when we will visit again! Thank you so much for having us!! ☺️

Not only that the food and drink is incredible. The staff are lovely and friendly. I cannot wait to go back again and enjoy looking at all the cute fluff balls. I fully support the owners of Canterbury Tails and what they are trying to do. 10 out of 10 with 100% recommend.

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to spend two hours here during my trip to England last month. It starts with the perfect name, and things only get better from there. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the cider and flapjack I had were delicious! Now we come to the cats. I spent most of my time with Waffle, a lovable Cornish Rex. He came right over and hopped in my lap. He stayed there for over an hour, which is basically my idea of heaven. I had the opportunity to meet or at least see most of the cats, and they are all wonderful! If you love cats, this is the place for you.

I visited this dreamy cafe back in February and it was one of the most charming experiences I’ve ever had. The cafe was cosy, warm and in a wonderful location down a cobbled street towards the Cathedral. I had a lovely time meeting the playful and friendly cats. The plant based hot chocolate and cream tea I had was delicious and it was nice to be surrounded by a few peacefully sleeping cats for company as well. I very much recommend a visit if you are in Canterbury it’s a real treat. X
