This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The fish platter had a most interesting selection of fish and was beautifully presented . The service was most friendly and courteous. Our only negative comment was that the garden , where we ate, could have been tidied up with some more colourful bushes.

Excellent friendly service. Nothing too much trouble. Delicious food sensibly priced. We had Pork schnitzel with a creamy freshly made mushroom sauce. Lovely. Our friends had sea bass and grilled salmon nicoise and very much enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

The welcome, service, food and presentation were all of the very best. We had dinner here last time and this was a lunch visit. Our friends were obliged to bring their very difficult and antisocial dog. Nothing was too much trouble with the staff. . Everything was very good indeed

My husband and I ate at the Golden Fox after reading great reviews on the food, the staff and the facilities. We were not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic food. Wonderful staff and spotlessly clean facilities. The whole place had a wonderful ambiance which only enhanced the whole experience. They were also very welcoming of our dog Max.

We picked the Golden Fox after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. I felt the bar area was a little dark, but we were soon accommodated in the restaurant. Really good to see that the restaurant is a no dog zone. The menu is not extensive but with the daily specials there should be something for everyone. It's worth noting they do not have a children's menu but modify some of the menu items to make a child's portion. Our 11 year old Granddaughter made short work of the adult 8 oz steak! The food was very well cooked and presented and portions were generous. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices were good A great new find to add to our list of "must returns"

Really 4.5, great tea, coffee, loved the toasties and atmosphere/decor. The half star deduction is because table tops needed a wipe, and there was cake and cutlery on the floor that needed sweeping.

Good, consistent coffee and a nice chilled atmosphere with lots of space. A few times I’ve visited the tables haven’t been properly wiped and the floor in the bathroom was wet. Improving the cleaning standards would definitely make a difference!

If I'm honest I thought that the mushroom wellington was a boring option. However, it was delicious. Best veggie christmas dinner. Hot, excellent service, friendly staff and nice ambience. Be nice to have another option if I came again though. Thank you!

Fabulous place on the most beautiful stretch of river, we arrived by paddle board and they were extremely welcoming. Delicious food, with a great atmosphere and very tastefully decorated. We’d worth a visit by car or by paddle board!

Went for a lovely Sunday family meal out 😊, this place didn’t disappoint! Food was delicious and beautifully presented! Chefs are clearly skilled! And credit to the waiters/waitresses… very attentive & caring. We all really had a lovely lunch here, and it was extra special because they had someone playing live music (piano) was brilliant 🤩 Thank you to all your team, we will be back again! 🤗

Amazing food, Amazing ambience and Great service. There was no waiting time, even though the place was filled on a Wednesday morning 10am. Great bunch of ppl running the place. The cowshed breakfast was a delight. The hash browns was one of the best i have tried in UK. Overall, it is highly recommended.

First visit to the restaurant. I was very impressed with our server, who suggested we could move to the adjacent barn where it would be leas noisy. He was right. It was😎. Food quality was excellent. We had a baby shower for my sister at The Cow Shed in their Barn area on Saturday, and it was perfect - everything we had hoped for! The staff were so helpful, both in the lead-up to the event and on the actual day. The barn itself is really picturesque, which was perfect for photos. We opted for a cream tea with both sweet and savory scones, and it was lovely. We paid per head for drinks, which guests could get from the private bar as and when they wished. There was plenty of room for games ect too. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the most special afternoon celebrating our new arrival with family and friends. Had the pleasure of visiting here last Sunday we arrived just after 10 and there were already quite a few people here. Offered seating inside or out, we ordered coffees which were very good and then I chose the homemade granola bowl which was absolutely delicious (it was also huge!) my husband chose the Mexican open flatbread which looked amazing, which he said was really good. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Nine of us went to the Pig for a family pre Christmas lunch yesterday (Saturday). We had pre-ordered which made things so much easier and slick; and every dish which was produced was absolutely delicious. The starters were generous….I had the brisket of beef; so, so good! Mr Husband had the trout which was carpaccio with wasabi and in a beetroot kvass. My son in law had fried Brie along with several others and those babies were melt in the mouth yum. Main courses; the belly pork was to die for. Most of us had that one! Duck was also excellent. And whilst I don’t always have pudding, the special was a Christmas themed bread pudding and it was fabulous. Again; a very generous portion; with a lovely crunch to the outside and buttery and sweet on the inside. All the other desserts looked equally wonderful. The staff were charming and so tolerant of all the demands of a big group of (mostly older!) people. Especially Jamie. Thank you Wimborne Pig! We will be back for sure.

Had a meal here tonight. One of the best tasting meals I have had out in a long long time. Presentation was on point, as was the list of local ingredients. We booked a table at the Wimborne Pig for our wedding anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We came with our 11-month old baby and the staff were absolutely brilliant and very helpful around her. The food was superb! The most delicious pork belly I've ever had- cooked to perfection, full of flavour and garnished with blueberry sauce. My husband had the beef burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both have allergies and I'm currently on a very restrictive gluten, dairy and egg free one. This wasn't an issue at all- the meal was adapted to cater for it. Overall a five star experience and a must try when in Wimborne!

Went here on 24/09 for a last minute big booking midday sit-down and I honestly don't think I've been to a better pub in my life. Great staff, great food and ensconced in a wonderful old building full of character. If you're thinking about visiting, stop dillydallying and get on with it. Even better considering we gave them an hour's notice. I recommend the Beef Short Rib.

We were camping at Dapplewood campsite just down the road and walked to the Old Inn for drinks and an evening meal. Staff are very friendly and made a fuss of our dog, couldn't be more helpful. I can recommend Tanglefoot ale it went down very well, well all 5 did. I had the Old Inn pizza with french fried & my partner had the beef stroganoff, all the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Highly recommend coming here if your in the area. We'll be back soon 😋

Been here twice recently to sample the steak and we were not disappointed at all. Great place with good atmosphere and service! Both times the meals were excellent, timing between courses perfect and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Will be going again next week. Could be an ideal "first dinner date" type of place or just somewhere to enjoy a very nice meal. If you haven't been there, definitely try it!

Our first time in Wimborne and this cafe was recommended to us. A lovely, traditional English menu. We got the veggie and big breakfast. Both were amazing. Very tasty and that egg was gorgeous! It is a very clean and cosy cafe with friendly staff who are very efficient. They have cute bathrooms upstairs also.

I have dined at this gem of a restaurant twice and each time the experience is fantastic. The food is basic but beautifully cooked and presented. The service is superb and always with a smile. Wonderful friendly atmosphere both downstairs or upstairs. The final flourish is that the bill will be as pleasing as the experience. Very well worth a visit.

Second time I've been here for breakfast, and I've been impressed both time! Dog Friendly! We arrived around half 11 on a Saturday morning and the place was bustling and full with lots of tables booked up. We ended up sitting outside which was still really nice! Would definitely visit again. Breakfast Bagel, Pancakes and Coffee all delicious. Worth calling to book to make sure you get a table!

This place is our favourite place to dine. Everything's a winner. On a sunny day, it's location is by a running river. The food has always been amazing. And as for value and customer service, just brilliant. I can't fault it in any way.

Coffee here is amazing. Some of the smoothest I have had in a while. Its a cash only cafe hidden away by the river. Very cute with great staff and fresh cooked food. Well worth seeking it out and any of the small specialist shops which surround it. Its busy and small so you might not get a seat inside on a cooler day.

Lovely cafe and extremely reasonable breakfast was lovely and great to sit in the sunshine. Only minor criticism is change the sausages. The bacon was lovely quality but the sausages seem cheap. It’s so reasonable that would happily pay more for a better quality sausage. Rest of the breakfast included the toast is fab.

We visit regularly as my son loves the full English breakfasts, which are great value at £8. The staff are friendly and it's always clean. It's pretty small, so there's sometimes a wait at peak times. Only other thing to note is that it's cash only but there's a free cash point close by.

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Rosemary Wimborne located in the heart of Wimborne Minster and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The ambiance was both elegant and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and professional. Our celebration began with a delightful array of coctails and starters, followed by an exquisite dinner. The menu featured a wide selection of dishes, all prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients and cooked to perfection. I took my wife here for her 40th birthday last Friday. Our meal was booked for 8pm, we had a friendly greeting at the door and shown to our table. Lovely decor and a very nice atmosphere. My wife ordered a red wine and I ordered the Turkish larger, which was very nice. We're ordered the hot Meze, which was amazing and we loved our main courses. The staff checked if everything was good a couple of times. All in all, we really enjoyed our experience at Rosemary.

Finally tried out Rosemary in Wimborne. Booked a table for 8pm and was shown to our table promptly on arrival. Decor is nice. Some tables are very close together. The menu is varied, so something for everyone. However with the lighting and gold embossed sections on the menu it was a little hard to read. I ordered a glass Turkish rose wine, which was lovely. Breads and dips arrived at the table and were complimentary (nice touch). We had the mixed meze to start, which was great. Main meals were good size portions and very good. The restaurant was busy, so the noise level was quite high. My only criticism was the attentiveness of staff. Once are food arrived at the table, we were not checked on or asked if we would like more drinks etc for the rest of the evening. Would I go back…yes definitely. Food was great. Go and give it a try.
