We have visited frequently, and the cafe is run by friendly volunteers, and very homely. Usually a selection of cakes and sausage rolls / pasties and sandwiches. Good mug of tea too. There is the railway shop selling mostly rail related books with an overspill in a carriage outside. There is another carriage you can take the cafe food into, and benches outside. Don't miss the hidden garden at the end of the platform up the path; lovely views across the hills. Popular with walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists.

Really enjoyable visit. Having a look in the signal box was great. The chap explaining everything was very knowledgeable and answered any questions. Very interesting to see how everything worked before computers took over! Lots has been done since we last visited about 10 years ago. Wont be waiting that long for the next visit though! Great station cafe too and you can sit on the platform or in a carriage to eat and drink. The classic car display on when we visited was excellent and there was a wide selection of cars bikes and trucks. . Spent a lot longer here than we thought we might. Such a shame that the line was shut down in 1966. (My parents travelled on the last train)

A retired railway station along a flat cycle trail. A great place to stop, with a small shop (rail oriented), and a little cafe serving snacks like pasties and cakes. Step back in time having tea in a carriage and when you visit the tiny museum, and make sure you experience the old station loos. A lot of modernisation is going on to extend the track and looks like more steam engines are arriving. Not easily accessible by car.

A “rare find” as AirBnB often says! An old school cafe, with personal service at reasonable/fair prices. It’s not often that you can buy an Americano for £2.20 these days! And their menu has a wide range of sandwiches and/or toasties. Nothing fancy, but great value and a friendly welcome.

Lovely lil cafe. Had an Americano and a flapjack to go from here. Emily and John were on shift I must say both were very welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. Stopped at this lovely cafe on the way to Cornwall and it was so good we stopped there again on the way back. Emily and John are friendly and the food tasty with generous portions. We thoroughly recommend. Keith and Serena.

Such a lovely cafe with the most friendly staff. Dogs are allowed and the Olympics was being shown on the TV. Our food was alright, but there wasn’t a huge choice on the menu. It looks as though the weekends have a bigger variety for food if that’s what you’re planning to come in for.

We had our choir Christmas lunch at The Dolphin today and it was amazing! The food was superb (as always), the service was excellent, and our wonderful hosts Julie and Andy looked after our every need. This was the second year our group ( there were 17 of us today) have chosen The Dolphin for our Christmas lunch and I can’t imagine that anywhere else could better our experience today.

We had a really Lovely meal here. The staff were so attentive and really went out of their way to check ingredients for a food intolerance. What a surprise. La Fleur de Lys deserves its good reputation. Food was of a very high standard and the service was discreet and professional. The chef came to the table to check all were satisfied and we were. I wasn't expecting such a treat.

Our first time at The Fleur De Lys for dinner. From the moment we set foot in this small hotel, all was perfect. We were shown to the bar where we had aperitifs, then to our table . We all had different starters and mains; all were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! The service and atmosphere was low key yet excellent. This was our first time at The Fleur De Lys and certainly not the last! well done!

Perfection on 4 plates! Our second visit to this excellent restaurant. The food, once again was a delight as much for the eyes as for the taste! I recently had to have my fuse box moved from up in the eaves to downstairs for safety and easier access. The lovely gents from Wessex Electrical came to do it. They were great. They kept me informed all the time, they were very polite and respectful of my home. Cleaned up any mess and basically did a fantastic job. It wasn't easy to move but they did it without complaining. Would definitely recommend Wessex Electricals, no job is too big or too small.

Job was done brilliantly, engineer showed up on time on the scheduled day, explained patiently what is going to be done and how long will it take. Very professional and polite, wonderful man! He took into consideration that english is not my first language and he made sure i understand him. We are very happy with the results. I'm very grateful for the preciseness of the job. Engineer left our property cleaned and ready to use, honestly we haven't seen such good work ethic from a very long time.

Went with my sister ( a local ) and daughter and granddaughter. Food was really lovely. Highly reccomend the quiche. The play area is safe and really well laid out. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit. We live over an hour away but do make a beeline for Blackmarsh Farm when visiting. Staff are lovely too.

An amazing maize, maze one of the best around. What a pity it's the final maze this year. A wonderful attraction for all the family with all the usual facilities including a superb little cafe. Play area for younger children and very reasonably priced. Staff extremely friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The maze is open all summer until early September so get in there quickly for a brilliant day out!

I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.
