Wonderful cafe. We stopped here on the way back from our holiday. The kids loved the playground and indoor play area. The cafe was light and had a lovely relaxed and spacious atmosphere. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love this cafe, supporting young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. So friendly, the staff are really kind, patient and approachable. Fabulous cakes and a lovely menu for lunch with prices that you would expect in 2024. Lovely decor and a great atmosphere. There is a nice seating area outside on a patio with a semi covered area. Plenty of free parking and two cycle racks for bikes. Wheelchair access all around the building on one level, with some very gentle slopes and a nice garden to look out on.

Found this wonderful surprise of a cafe today. Had coffee and a wrap. Oat milk coffee was delicious, and the egg mayo wrap with salad a crisps, was fresh, tasty, and well presented. Staff welcoming and the cafe had a lovely friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to go back

I visited this cafe with my mum at about 3pm on Friday 27 September 2024. Buried away in the village of Easton-on-the-Hill, about 100m from the main road this is an absolute gem. A former primary school has been converted into a lovely, smart cafe with car parking and plenty of seating inside and outside, weather permitting. We just had tea and fruit scones with cream and jam. The scones were possibly the loveliest I've tasted anywhere and, believe me, I've eaten a few! The lady serving was really friendly. This place certainly deserves to be a success. You get the impression it has been created and is run with lots of love and caring. We would definitely recommend.

Visited today as we had heard great things about this inclusive Café. Located just off the main road in Easton on the hill near Stamford, this beautifully designed space is bright and airy with plenty of potential. We ordered a cappuccino, large filter coffee and 2 bacon baps. The drinks were brought to us quickly, and our food followed soon after. My wife says it was the best cappuccino she's had in a very long time, I was a little disappointed with my coffee having a very bitter after taste to it. Our bacon baps were fantastic, crispy back bacon in a beautiful soft white roll, would absolutely recommend these to anyone. We have already planned to come back with our children as there were some outside play items to keep them busy. The inclusion of those with differing abilities is an amazing concept and should be replicated across many towns, helping bridge the gap for those who want to work but who need additional support to see them succeed.

This place was amazing and the staff were very nice. The atmosphere and decor was really good and the food was delicious. We had the afternoon tea and was the best I have ever had. Everything was freshly made (and you can tell it was) and we didn't leave there with an empty stomach. Even took the rest home (only a little). Fully recommend anyone to visit.

Well, all I can say is you'll be disappointed with every single afternoon tea you ever have after this one! Amazing selection including chunky sandwiches, sausage roll (one of the best I've had), scotch eggs that are slightly runny in the centre, scones packed with raisins, cheesecake, chocolate brownie, trifle, lemon cake and more. Nice cup of tea or coffee on the side too. Can't fault it at all. They even do a childrens one which is a bit smaller. Staff great, lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to come back when I'm able to eat more!

This was a great little find! It was a busy Saturday in Stamford, even though they were very busy Dean managed to get us a table to have lunch. Staff very welcoming and food was very nice. Had an open prawn sandwich which was fresh. Husbands sausage sandwich was reheated but was still tasty. A lot of items were not available on the menu due to the amount of customers but we had a lovely lunch.

The staff was very friendly, respectful and the waiting time was quite acceptable. The surrounding is great too. All in all a good experience. I highly recommend Goochs! Thank you.😊

Called in for a lunchtime beer with friends. Great central Stamford location. Very busy and had to wait for a table but the beer was good (a Nene Valley brewery real ale). Food looked great but cannot comment on taste.

The Crown Hotel is a charming spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We only stopped by for a drink, but the experience was delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The menu showcased an enticing selection of cuisines, and though we didn’t dine, the dishes we saw looked delicious and well-presented. It’s the kind of place where you could easily linger, enjoying the relaxed vibe. Whether for a meal, a quick drink, or an evening out, the Crown Hotel seems like a wonderful choice. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

Frothys Coffee Shop

Rating: 4.5 (413) Price Level:

My in laws love this coffee shop and we've always liked it but never really got the fuss, until recently staying for an extended period, we have had some really lovely food here. It's so totally understated, even on the menu the dishes don't sound anything like as nice as they are. Such great dishes, real variety. Some healthy, some more indulgent. The ordinary menu is extensive and exciting and varied along with the ever changing specials board, I was very impressed!

Great little coffee shop. If the weather is good, sit outside and there is a little canopy covering most of the chairs and tables. Order inside at the counter, give them your table number, and everything is brought to you by smiling, friendly staff. If you get a chance, try the indulgent waffles. Whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate sauce, and all of it without being too sickly. 😋 Lovely treat.

Good breakfast! I can't use/digest salt, so the eggs were served too salty for me, but the poached eggs on bloomer toast with mushrooms were otherwise yum and a good plateful. Very polite, welcoming and pleasant chap, very helpful. I had a marimba dark hot chocolate which was really good. Nice, airy cafe with more seating downstairs and has plenty of outdoor seating to the front on the pavement, some under awning. Yep, very good food. Can recommend and would revisit.

We booked for our office Xmas dinner this year as have always have a super meal out here. We were not disappointed. We had a warm and friendly greeting and we were seated upstairs which is perfectly decorated, especially on a winters evening. The food and service were exemplary with everyone in our party enjoying their food choices. Steaks cooked to individual tastes were spot on and the tiramisu is a must. Thank you to everyone at Amore who work so hard for a great evening. 🤩

Food quality was good. Not sure of some of the flavour profiles (e.g. baby octopus in a heavy bolognaise-type sauce), but ultimately the food was of a high standard and pasta was fresh and home-made. Great atmosphere for a romantic or professional dinner setting with friendly staff and great cocktails. We stayed for over 2 hours enjoying the food, wine and cocktails. I recommend the carpaccio!

Tasty food and great service, but it is very busy and a little tight on space. Would recommend booking in advance. You pay at the counter (the rest is table service) and the service charge is not automatically added to your bill and you have the option of paying 10%. Which is nice in a world in a automatic 12.5%. Big food shout out to the Korean pull pork toastie, highly recommend.

Food is extraordinary. Service is below ordinary. Both of us felt the staff disliked their job and were serving people with anger. For example how they took order, payments, harshly placing water and glasses on our table making us jump a little every time. Otherwise, food is fantastic.

The King's Head is good at any time of year. The Christmas singalong is just plain stellar. There are always really unusual guest ales, and even beers brewed especially for the pub. Consistently our favourite place in all of Stamford. Been here a few times now and we just can’t stay away. From the cosy rustic atmosphere to the delicious food, everything here is perfect and not to be missed. The service here is fantastic, you’re greeted like an old friend and it’s table service, so there’s no need to get up from your seat, though I encourage you to in order to look at the selection of beers and ales on offer. The drinks are just as good as the service and pair perfectly with the excellent food. On this particular visit, I had the Crumpet Burger, which was absolutely fantastic. The beef burger was juicy and meaty, topped with Brie and salty bacon. The portion of chips on the side, in my opinion, is perfect and they’re crispy and hot! Plus, everything is locally sourced so it’s all incredibly fresh and you can really taste the difference! All in all, a great place to grab lunch in Stamford, to catch up with mates or enjoy a relaxing pint after a day out shopping. As always, I can’t wait for my next visit.

Popped in to try the new menu, and they did not disappoint. Table service was excellent. They kept checking if we wanted any more drinks. Now to the star of the show.. the food. It was outstanding. I had the Nach-Yo burger, which on its own would have been epic, but you had the option to Fondou it, which of course I did, and it was next level excellent the right level of spice! We also tried a couple of the mac n cheese dishes, the classic mac and mariachi mac, and again, it was delicious. Other had the pulled beef Gravy fries which where crisp and very tasty. The ale selection as always was on point and something for everyone. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out. They also have a stash of card and board games, should you fancy it. To avoid disappointment, make sure you book a table as they fill up fast!

This is the very first place where my husband (now) taking me when I first came here in England. And this is gonna be my first long review among all of every review I have ever made. Wow! 🌹 First impression of all food was amazing really! (Even now they merged to Orbis) And I pinned it in my brain. Secondly we had a date night before we decided to have our wedding celebration here. I want to thank all the Orbis's team who assisted us about everything in our Wedding celebration on the 8th September 2021. Apart that they will certainly served you with good food, and I think it will be nice to announce the restaurant merge underway and add some regulations on the website to ensure the authenticity of the food served. Also be offering delicious options available like cake and raw vegan treats. Our friend, who initially faced rejection from the staff due to the raw vegan cake delivery, I suggests adding this information on the website will be benefiting. Hopefully, it will serve as a reminder to staff members when receiving such cakes. I didn't review or verify the recent payments made by my husband, as many brides would be displeased with incomplete details. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Your food is satisfactory. Rest assured, I plan to return. Lastly, Lois (or the designated email correspondent) or future managers should prioritize using the "reply all" feature for effective communication with potential clients, visitors, or anyone contacting via email or phone. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you all. 🙏🏼🌹

My boyfriend and I had an amazing meal here. I am allergic to nuts and am also gluten intolerant and have a digestive condition so eating out can be difficult. However, I was made to feel at ease here and I could feel relaxed about ordering and eating out at a restaurant. We shared tapas dishes including the duck tacos, pulled pork doughnuts, smoked mac n cheese, jerk chicken and patatas bravas - all were cooked beautifully and were full of flavour. Make sure you save room for dessert as the choices are amazing! A huge thank you to Poppy for being such a great waitress. We can’t wait to return :)

Just got back from a short break in the area and a google search for local dog friendly breakfast places brought this gem up! We hadn’t made a reservation as we had no idea how popular the place was but luckily we managed to get in as a couple were just leaving. We both had the full English breakfast with toast and some coffee. It was honestly the best English breakfast we have ever tried and we enjoyed it that much we came back the following day to try more as all the food looked so good. I had the blueberry pancakes and my husband had the eggs Benedict which were again outstanding. The pot of tea for two was also well enjoyed. It is definitely the busiest place we have ever been for breakfast and was fully booked both times. We actually tried to book in again the following day but they were already fully booked with the lady saying Friday is their busiest day. It clearly has a great reputation and for good reason as it really is a lovely little eatery with excellent food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. We felt very comfortable with our large dog despite it being very busy and all the staff made a fuss of him. I would recommend booking in well in advance to make sure you can get in and get the time a lot you want as the amount of people they had to turn away both times we came was crazy. We highly recommend and will definitely be back if we are ever in Stanford again!
