Lovely cafe located just opposite the premier inn which we stayed in. Staff very attentive and quick to respond or notice you needed something. Menu is huge, with everything and anything available. Food was very nice, only let down is that the banana and chocolate milkshakes weren’t very strong in taste. Overall, a great cafe.

OMG this place is amazing, it was our first visit and this is now the only place we will be getting breakfast from now on. The staff are so friendly, the service is great, but the food, oh wow the food. The quality of the products, the way it is cooked, the speed, and the taste, we will be back very soon, and regularly. Thanks guys

Popped in for a quick breakfast as really fancied a small fry up. Service was really quick and the food was delicious all at a very reasonable price. I only had a small English breakfast as I don't normally eat breakfast, sausage, egg, beans, buttered bread, tomato and bacon, all cooked perfectly and filled me up completely. I definitely will be back for some lunches!

A great spot to enjoy the atmosphere in Tonbridge with a view of the castle and river just off the high street. I brought my family from Germany who had reservations about British food and the food they had changed their opinion completely. The service was wonderful and we felt very welcome. The coffee was great and the staff knowledgeable and helpful, so we all got exactly the drink we needed.

This is probably the best place to go for coffee in Tonbridge, I'm not been anywhere else in Tonbridge so I can't say anyone is better. What I would say is that this place is hard to beat in Tonbridge for speciality coffee. It serves I believe it's own bespoke blend by cast iron coffee, based in Sussex. The view out the front window of the castle is pretty good too. I have also been to its previous premises in Tonbridge which was the old fire station, both places serve excellent coffee. 'nuff said!

P: 01732 822233

Rating: 4.7 (231) Price Level:

The food is beautiful and more importantly cooked to perfection with bags of flavour. The puddings are bonkers but delicious. A good small wine list too. It was busy which made for a lovely convivial atmosphere. There are some lovely walks straight from the door if you want to walk it all off!

This is a unique dining experience, fantastic, delicately crafted, delicious food. Not your standard 'pub grub' but an unforgettable selection of flavours and textures. Excellent staff and a really lovely ambiance make Bowleys at the Plough a true dining sensation. Add to that, some great wines and beers at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

We went to the Plough for Thai Night and wow it was amazing! The food was very tasty. The flavors were well-balanced, combining sweet, sour, and spicy elements in a satisfying way. The dishes were freshly prepared with quality ingredients. From the aromatic curries to most amazing fish dish, each item vibrant and bold tastes typical of Thai cuisine. It was both filling and flavorful, leaving a positive impression overall. We will definitely be going back!

Went to the Plough on a Friday evening for something to eat. It turn out to be Fish and Chip night. We both ordered Haddock Chips and Peas. It was superb, the fish cooked to perfection and very large, served with ample home cooked chips and peas. All washed down with a couple of pints of Domebar. Will definitely be back again.

Went for a birthday with ten of us, a mix of kids and adults and had a fab Sunday lunch. Beef, Lamb and Turkey were all wonderfully cooked and the food was plentiful. The staff were exceptionally kind and couldn’t do enough for us, including the landlord who made us feel continuously welcome. The surrounding area was also beautiful with quite a few walks - I recommended leaving it for after the food! Wouldn’t hesitate to go here again.

Lovely place to come with the family for a day out, plenty to do with cafe/toilets and everything you need near by. Parking is charged at £7 for the day with plenty of spaces. You are able to swim in the waters but just beware of all the stones as it can be quite hard/uncomfortable to walk on.

We took our 8 year old daughter for the Santa experience, end of November and this started Christmas for us. There were lots of fun activities from gingerbread icing and decorating tree decorations to making reindeer food and sending a postcard to Santa. Meeting the big guy was the highlight. Santa spent time talking to my daughter about her hobbies and interests, she was amazed how much he knew! A magical afternoon out, definitely recommend it!

Large beautiful reservoir and incredible landscape, it's one of our go-to place for outdoor fun. Roughly 6 miles to walk around the whole lake through the scenic flat pathway, although the road can be very muddy in wet days. The bewl water cafe makes incredible deluxe hot chocolate which my kids love the most. It's dog friendly and cycling friendly.

A must visit if you are near Royal Tunbridge Wells. Boating , fishing, surfing, swimming and hiking you name it there is something for everyone. I have noticed a designated camp site as well. There is a cafe with a lake view although it was closed when we went. Parking is 7.30 for the whole day. You can hire fishing boats and kayaks. Kayaks are £30 for 2 hours and it holds 3 people. I recommend taking some snacks and drinks with you just in case the cafe is closed.

Nice place for a walk or for water sports. It is more developed than we expected, with play areas and adventure parks, boat hire and group activities. The cafe provides meals as well as tea coffee and cakes, plus it is licensed to sell alcohol. Seating inside and out with good views. Buying a parking ticket (£5.30 for the day) includes access to the general areas. Activities are extra of course. Payment by App only on Ringo, so make sure you have App loaded before arriving to save your data allowance. We walked along the water side. Paths were just gravelled, and ordinary shoes would be ok, but walking boots would be best. Good number of benches along the first couple of miles, can't comment on the rest of the 12 mile path round the reservoir. The path was mainly through wooded areas, so nicely shaded for hot sunny days. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. 😎👍👍👍👍

A short 3.5m circular walk from Wrotham Hill viewing point brought us here. On this winter Saturday we were greeted with a warm welcome. Unfortunately their deep fat fryer was broken, resulting a shortened menu. Despite this we opted for the wholesome soups served with bread. A very interesting interior and clean facilities. Also spot the unique aviator chairs. We would definitely return. If you're driving park up the hill, from the church, either side of the recreation ground.

Rating: 4.7 (408) Price Level:

Fantastic place to stop for coffee and a snack if out walking or mountain bike riding like I was today. Had a flat white - was excellent as was the sausage roll. This will now be my preferred mid ride stop for this route. Blankets available with outside seating so you can enjoy a coffee even on those chillier days. Stopped by again a few days after this review mid ride. Coffee and steak pasty excellent. Really pleasant place to rest for a while by the river. PS be sure to look out for the bold as brass Robin who likes to snack on cake crumbs etc! June 2022 update - seats and chairs upgraded - this place continues to impress!

A lot of building works have been completed recently so the area is looking fresh and welcoming with a new outside seating and canopy incase it’s raining. Thanks again for the great hospitality

A favourite place to walk to, have a coffee and chill. It’s a perfect location, friendly staff and high quality food. For such a tiny place they do amazingly well. I’ve introduced many people to this little gem. The dog biscuits are genius. My dog won’t walk past without joining the queue for her biscuit so our furry friends approve too!!

Such a great cafe - I can’t wait to return to here with my family! Hands down the smash avocado (with additional bacon) here is the best I’ve ever had!!! The smoothie was yummy too! The staff are so helpful and lovely - they helped me to heat the baby food I brought in from home and also provided a baby cup with hot water as requested. Our little man was super happy. Definitely a great little gem on Holly Bush Lane to visit if anybody is hungry for brekkie or lunch or anything else.

Why oh why does this cafe open so late? 9am! They'd do such a good early morning trade if they opened earlier considering the commuters and all the parents doing school/nursery runs. Went for lunch once - food is good but slightly overpriced. Service is friendly. The vibe overall is really cute.

I recently had the opportunity to experience afternoon tea at Twig and Spoon, and it was a delightful experience. The setting is beautiful, with a charming outdoor patio and a cozy indoor dining room. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. The afternoon tea itself was delicious. The selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries was extensive and varied. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was lovely. The tea selection was also impressive, with a wide variety of loose-leaf teas to choose from. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Twig and Spoon. We had an afternoon tea here today and what a wonderful time we had. Our service was provided by Danielle today. She was so attentive, so smiley, couldn't do enough for us and was genuinely the most lovely lady. She made us feel so relaxed and made our visit really special; she also included my 4 year old in every interaction, got her a cushion to sit her up a bit higher and comfier and made her laugh and smile. This is my second experience here and my mothers 7th. Every time it exceeds expectations and is such a magical experience. Plenty of yummy and beautifully presented food, warm, cosy environment with such a beautiful lay out. Thank you Danielle. We hope to see you again.

The Vineyard Wrotham

London Rd, Wrotham Heath, Sevenoaks TN15 7RU, UK | Restaurant
P: 01732 910000

Rating: 4.7 (31) Price Level:

Having lived in the surrounding villages for a long time, and now moved to West Malling, I've driven past this place countless times. I’m aware that the premises have gone through a few variations over the years. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I’d heard there were new owners who took over earlier this year. I was thinking it might have a pub/restaurant feel, but I was mistaken. This is not a pub at all, but a restaurant. Inside, it’s beautifully decorated. A lot of attention to detail and expense has clearly been put into the decoration, from the decor to the artwork. Chairs, tables—everything has been done to a high quality, giving it a sense of fine dining. This is enhanced by the exceptionally presented food and the excellent service provided by the staff. Moustapha, our main server, was excellent. The food was good and tasty and they have an excellently presented menu and wine list. The atmosphere was also wonderful, making it a great place for a date night. It stands out from other local places with its real restaurant feel.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is excellent and the chef really knows his stuff. The menus change with the seasons. Tonight we had scallops with the silkiest buerre blanc sauce, the crab meat and smoked salmon, steak Diane (cooked perfectly, melt in the mouth), Vineyard Chicken and the roasted cauliflower. For desserts we had the raspberry burnt cream with chocolate eclair and caramelised banana, all really tasty and beautifully presented. I really like the addition of flowers. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I have been twice now and have had the best experience each time. The restaurant does both set menus and A La Carte. They have a lovely vegan offering too. Wines range in price from around £20 and the list is extensive and interesting. They also have a great range of cocktails and mocktails. If you haven’t tried this restaurant out yet, then I highly recommend you do.
