This is OUR TOWN'S oldest running cafe, it's where the locals go... It's comfy atmosphere and good basic fry ups, sandwiches, classic greasy spoon fayre is all good đ plus there is cake and puddings on the dessert menu. .... I need a sausage sandwich now....đ€đđ€Ł

Best cooked breakfast Iâve had for a long time. Bit disappointed that fried bread wasnât listed on the menu only to find that the eggs are served on perfectly cooked fried bread ! Would prefer streaky bacon given a choice but thatâs just me ! Cash only but thereâs an ATM just up the road

Excellent English breakfast with fried bread as a very welcome bonus. Cafe very clean and friendly, prompt service. Lunch menu looked very nice too. Cash only at the time of writing

Lovely friendly little place. We ordered 2 Panini and teas. The staff are so friendly and polite. And the panini's came with a nice little side salad with coleslaw and a generous serving of chips which were cooked lovely. Would definitely make a return visit. They also fell in love with my gonk which my partner had brought for me at a local charity Christmas fair. Gerome the gnome was a bit of a star. X

We ate here last night and it was amazing! We phoned ahead due to several dietary restrictions and were assured that they could accommodate us. When we arrived we had such a great experience (which you donât get everywhere with allergies!!) the staff were very knowledgeable about the ingredients and what would be possible. They made something that my son absolutely loved despite several food allergies. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was excellent. The service was fantastic, we highly recommend you try here! We would love to go back. Thank you Namaste.

One of the best indian restaurants I've been to! The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere and decor are lovely. Will 100 percent be visiting again. Worth every penny!

My wife and I decided, very last minute, to enjoy a meal here for our wedding Anniversary...and what great decision it was! The food was incredible, the staff were so very accommodating and friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what you would want from an authentic Indian restaurant. We couldn't decide which wine to have with our meal so the gentleman brought over a taster of a couple of options. Being vegetarian we usually have very limited options but again we were pleasantly surprised with the vast selection and the fantastic flavours from the dishes we chose. We will 100% be returning to Namaste and recommend this establishment to anyone.

What a great place! Amazing food. Would definitely recommend
Rating: 5 / 5
I came here to celebrate my partners birthday after many recommendations and promises of excellent food from friends and locals alike. I phoned in advance and, speaking to the chef, arranged for my partner to have roast partridge, a favourite of hers, which was served with seasonal vegetables and a red berry jus. The food was truly exceptional, beyond all my expectations, safe to say she was impressed too! All in all I found the place a lovely, welcoming venue, with amazing food and great drinks, I myself enjoying a pristine pale ale before moving onto the bubbly! I would definitely recommend and will be back again. Attached is a picture of my partners meal, it would of been a crime not to share it.

Absolutely fantastic meal last Friday. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for the Chefs. We all enjoyed 3 courses. Starters: Tempura chicken, Calamari and a Scallop & King prawn dish. For main: Cod for one, Rib eye steak for other 3 of us (all cooked to perfection) with chips and accompaniments. For dessert: Brownie for 2, Peanut butter ice cream and lastly a Profiteroles. A sublime meal, would highly recommend!! Compliments to the Chefs again!!

Quirky and cosy! Absolutely loved this place. What seems like a âhole in the wallâ bar has such a cool vibe. Annette (owner) and Gavin (chef) made us feel SO welcome. Their customer service is what every business should aspire to achieve!

Food was amazing!! Great staff and very friendly. Found this place by accident and gave it a chance. It paid off, because it was one of the most unique food items Iâve ever had (Yorkshire Pudding Wrap - available only on Sundays). Highly recommend!

What a fabulous little cafe. Great coffee and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely stop in when you're in Sandwich. Super friendly staff.
Rating: 5 / 5
The platonic ideal of a coffee shop. The outside seating is idylic in every way, and cute in many other ways. The shop is tucked in a corner of a not so busy street, cozy in a way only a small space such as this can be. The coffee tastes of warm summer days with a light breeze, and the tea cup is in a cute stack with its pot. The cakes are all excellent, a delight you can allow yourself and stop feeling bad about as soon as your first bite. I will remember this day for years.

Today my sister and I went to this lovely little café. It was there first day but it was an amazing experience. The cake was delicious. The new owners are verry kind. Dogs are welcome and there will be a threat waiting for them.

We had a great time at this cute coffeehouse today! her hot chocolate and coffee was amazing! She was such a lovely lady to talk to and if we ever get a chance to visit Sandwich again weâll definitely go back to drink some coffee lol

This place is great! Brilliant coffee (the best I've had in a while) and from a local coffee roaster too, in Deal. Megan was so friendly and welcoming it was a treat. Sitting is available inside and over the lane in the churchyard too. Simple menu but, for us, everything we wanted. Loved the individuality of the cafe, even down to the beautiful coffee spoons. Couldn't fault a thing - well done!!! Next time in Sandwich this is a must.

The Blue Pigeons
The St, Worth, Deal CT14 0DE, UK | Hotel P: 01304 613233
Rating: 4.6 (345) Price Level:
Had a wonderful mid week break here, owners made us feel so welcome from the beginning, the staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for you (big shout out to Katherine) especially when asked for an off list cocktail and hand picked mint herself from the garden! The room was gorgeous spotlessly clean with added personal touches you just can't get in chain hotels. The village was beautiful and the locals very friendly, location was perfect nice and quiet but 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Deal seafront would highly recommend and will absolutely visit again fantastic value for money too. Thank you.

Stayed here for one night last week (2 adults and 1 child). Very friendly staff. The room was ready for us on arrival, it was clean, spacious and bright and very calming looking over the church across the road. Food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast here, free parking outside. A really straight forward & pleasant stay, nothing was to much trouble. Also the neighbours cat who likes to pop in was very cute!

We visited the Blue Pigeons in worth for lunch and were very impressed with the total upgrade of the building. We did not visit the rooms but the restaurant and bar were very cosy, and noted a very substantial garden for summer time drinks at the garden bar. We will be returning again to this venue for maybe an overnight stay with dinner.

What a lovely place! Visiting from up north for a family event. The staff could not have been more welcoming after our 5 hour journey. The room was fantastic. Finished off well. Comfy bed and plenty of space. Even the church bells were not a problem (thanks for the warning at check in!). Breakfast can make or break a hotel stay, but the breakfast and service was as fantastic as everything else. What a gem!! We will be back soon for sure.

Bella Amalfi
Market St, Sandwich CT13 9DA, UK | Italian Restaurant P: 01304 619888
Rating: 4.5 (135) Price Level:
Food was delicious. Reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive, great sense of humour and very polite. Only reason I didnât give 5 stars is due to the fact the restaurant is quite small, so due to it being busy it was difficult to hear my partner sometimes, who was sat opposite me. However, it is a Friday night, so this can be expected. Wasnât a fan of the decor/lighting. Think the decor could be more authentic and maybe some warm lighting. I would eat here again, and my partner said the same. I have recommended this restaurant to my family :) also, the tiramisu was so good! Was my first time trying it. Thanks to the staff for being in good spirits and being very smiley, always makes the experience so much better!
Rating: 5 / 5
You can always judge an Italian by their service and their tiramisu - and this restaurant was exceptional for both! Wonderful friendly staff and superb food with big portions - this was an absolute find in Sandwich and we loved spending time in such a traditional Italian family-run venue. We can't wait to come back!

Came down for the weekend, and on the first night a family member had a nasty fall near the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, provided first aid, called the ambulance, and made sure we were looked after. On getting back to the hotel after a night in A&E, the staff member checked on us and gave us a reduction on our hotel bill (the accident wasnât on hotel property, it was down to the wobbly Sandwich paving). They seriously couldnât have been kinder. The room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel seemed well used but it wasnât noisy. The breakfast was fresh and very appreciated!
Rating: 5 / 5
First time staying here and it was really nice. Entrance to the hotel had a retro feel to it, loved it. Staff were very friendly and despite a wedding going on didnât affect the service at all. My room was nice and spacious, my parents who had a balcony also said their room was superb. Service at dinner/breakfast was excellent (so pleased they have spitfire on tap). Will come back.

Came here for lunch and was welcomed by a fab guy called Sean. The food was amazing, the roast beef melted in the mouth. The coffee was amazing. Being Gluten-free I often struggle to find anything to eat but they catered for me wonderfully. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Many thanks.

We recently stayed at The Bell, as we were celebrating my mother in laws 80th birthday! The moment we arrived we were welcomed with lovely smiles and the our rooms were ready! Waiting for the rest of the family to arrive we went to the bar and again the staff were brilliant. There was 14 of us, including 5 children! We had dinner at the bell that evening and the food and staff were excellent! Breakfast was one of the best I had in uk hotel! The hotel is old and yes in places looks a little tired but this gives the building character and its charm! Thank you for accommodating all Of us! We had a lovely weekend đ
