Thai Four Two Restaurant

Had a great lunchtime meal at Thai Four Two in Rochester with friends!, service was friendly, and the food really tasty. Starters: PHLAA KUNG: Grilled King Prawn salad with a fiery Thai-style dressing, full of fresh kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, chili oil, and carrots. Packs a punch! šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ”„ For mains: PLA RADD Prik: Deep-fried cod served with a tasty Thai sweet and sour chili sauce. Musamunn Curry: A mild coconut curry with a subtle sour note, loaded with beef, onions, and potatoes. Coconut Rice: Jasmine rice cooked in rich coconut milkā€”full of flavor. Phad Thai Noodles: Rice noodles in a homemade sweet & sour sauce, mixed with egg, bean sprouts, carrots, spring onions, ground peanuts, and a squeeze of lemon. Finished of with a bowl of Strawberry ice cream. My top pick was the PHLAA KUNGā€” flavorful and spicy, which it went will with a cold Singha beer šŸ¤šŸŗ. Thank you

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! What a great impression walking through the door. Lovely cosy Thai restaurant. Koi karp pond and several fish tanks around the restaurant. I walked in at 7pm on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. Really do call and pre book! I had a sharing platter starter, delightful. Main Phad Prik Khing with noodle. Did these hit the spot! What an amazing resturant, great value for money and service was top notch. If I return to Roch this will be the first restaurant on my list!

Amazing service and good. The Thai green and red curries were lovely. Pad Thai was also excellent. Large portions of rice. Excellent value and too this restaurant quality. Best weā€™ve had in Kent and outside London. Canā€™t wait to go back. Great service and fitted us in no problem even though it was busy during Dickens Festival.

A lovely place on the first floor. Extremely friendly staff and a great selection of food. We came for some Afternoon Tea : the homemade sandwiches were absolutely delicious, the scones were perfect and the cakes were maybe a little too much by the end but nonetheless great. If one thing could be improved it's the choice of drinks with the afternoon tea (only one type of coffee or tea) but that's only a small note. Would recommend without doubt!

This was delightful! Hidden away above the shops is a quaint little cafĆ© that boasts traditional English food and quality service. Just perfect for a cold winterā€™s day - warmed by a hot cup of tea, delicious tuna melt and cake. I can thoroughly recommend this place, even if you have to wait on the stairs - itā€™s worth it. I shall definitely be returning!

We popped in for hot chocolate. It was late in the day and they were close to closing but still welcomed us. If you're going to have hot chocolate, have the posh one ( see photos ) it tastes as good as it looks. I also had a slice of coffee cake, delish! They do afternoon teas and after this little sample , that is definitely on the cards. The staff were all polite, smart and efficient. The venue is upstairs so has a narrow entrance, find the bright pink sweet shop in the high street turn around and you'll see the entrance.

Totally in love with the new Cafe at Rochester RC based at Rochester Airport. It is light years ahead of the former cafe onsite, offering a wide range of healthy foods and drinks along with a cheeky slice of cake!! The tea is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive. The whole place is immaculate, the staff are warm and welcoming and it has a real family friendly feel. I will certainly be returning.

Rochester RC Cafe is situated inside an RC store but donā€™t let that detour you from stopping in for the best coffee, tea and sweets, a variety of sandwiches , soup or pasta bowls. The staff are so friendly and it seems the community is enjoying the new cafe as a great go to for a coffee or bite to eat.

We visited one evening and popped in with the hope of getting a table without booking. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and couldn't do enough to help. They were genuine people, and this definitely added to our experience. I was on a strict diet, and they helped cater to my needs without issue. Another plus! When the food arrived, I can honestly say it was one of the nicest burgers I have ever tasted. Everything was cooked with time and care, it certainly showed in every meal. We will definitely be back for more when next in Rochester. This is a real gem of a restaurant that needs the support of all! Highly recommended šŸ‘Œ Update - we visited again 05.10.24 and had another fantastic meal. Salads were delicious and staff very friendly, just as our first visit. We'll definitely be back!

We visited @smoque at the Rochester location and the burgers were delicious šŸ¤¤ The owners John & his partner were lovely and very welcoming I had the Smoque with a QC burger Hubby had the Grim Reaper burger and we had loaded fries with pulled pork and bbq sauce The burgers were fully loaded and so filling the loaded fries were yummy but the portion size was smaller then what we have had at other places and more expensive, you also had to pay extra if you want additional toppings To drink I had the Baileys chocolate milkshake & hubby had the cider Overall it was yummy šŸ˜‹ and we recommend šŸ’Æ Look at the smile on my face šŸ˜‚

They have a big variety of dishes and desserts, I loved the specialties of the Chef. I love the meloncelo was delicious. There is a good selection of wines The decorations are very Italian and cosy. Portions sizes are big. You might need to reserve at night time. They have outdoor seating. Is possible to pay with card or cash.

Had a lovely time with my Sister & Daughter. Celebrating my Sisters 60th birthday. We had a warm welcome even though we were early the staff were very accommodating. Food was lovely and bottomless drinks cold and hot to be had. The only thing that was lacking was some soft music in the background would give it more atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Fleur de ThƩ - we coincidentally came on the first day of their Christmas menu, so we blindly had the Christmas Croque Monsieur and the Turkey sage and onion stuffing sourdough sandwich. The Christmas Croque Monsieur was gorgeously decadent - a cheese lovers dream! You absolutely will not need to eat any more, it is so filling in the best way possible. My mother enjoyed the turkey sandwich. Lovely atmosphere, service was prompt, only downside was they ran out of the gluten free cake because it was so popular. Highly recommend this place, lovely to have it in Medway, and will return. It initially seems expensive for Medway but the quality is excellent and so worth it.

Visited on a Sunday for my Daughterā€™s birthday and had a great time . Large selection on the menu including non cheese . I had British Cheese board , my daughter continental board , Mrs C Camembert and youngest Fish & Chips with some sides was an excellent start. Very extensive drinks menu and we finished with dessert and I have to say the Sticky Toffee pudding was the best I had . For 5 of us including service Ā£180. Staff very friendly and attentive and would definitely visit again .

First time visiting The Cheese Room and it did not disappoint. The menu was a set one 2 course Ā£27 or 3 courses for Ā£34. You could also choose toasted sandwiches and lighter lunches. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to settle down and browse the menu without being interrupted. We had the 2 courses and had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding and amazing potaotes, veg was carrots, parsnip, beetroot and squash all roasted. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is Ā£6 for 2 people. It was lovely to have cauliflower that was cooked and not raw. The pudding we had was out of this world and couldn't fault anything, we had the cheesecake. It was more on the expensive side than i would usually pay, but it was so worth it. Service charge of 10% is automatically added and this is advertised on their website. Was a lovely experience but would recommend booking.

Being a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large. The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry. The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

Me and my friend had a great time here. The food was so good and it came so fast but tasted so fresh still. I got garlic butter tenders and she got barbecue wings, it was so delicious. Boyfriend got the one tender that I couldnā€™t stuff in when I got home and he loved it too. The fried halloumi was so perfect, not greasy at all. The guy at the bar was very friendly and we had a waitress with brown hair, I wish I had asked for her name because she was so nice and her service was great. They had an offer so we did bottomless drinks and we enjoyed all the cocktails, so nice. My friend had finished hers and mine only had a couple sips and was basically ice, I stopped a different waitress and asked if we could get another and she gave me a kinda judgy look and told me to finish the one I had first. I would totally understand if I was taking advantage, but my friends was done, and I had only a couple sips left. And because the cocktails are made fresh they took a moment to make understandably. The waitress that mostly served us later on asked unprompted if we would like another even though we had a few sips left still, because ā€˜they take a minuteā€™ so I donā€™t think itā€™s the restaurant policy. I would still definitely come back here!!

The food was amazing, we cannot express how flavourful the burgers and the fries were. Fresh food and a great dining area. Service was a bit slow but the staff that was in front of the house were on their own and they bossed it. Must visit and try, well worth the money. Will visit again to try the other flavours.

Whist the chicken was amazing the wings Wednesday is Ā£15.95 and the 2 cocktails for Ā£10 is now Ā£15.00 (despite no advertising to say this) We arrived at it took ages for the wings to come out. With in 45 mins of our booking we had 4 wingsā€¦. We overheard another table complaining about the service. After that it did pick up slightly. There no point further complaining to there servers as its not their fault. The girls serving were lovely and are certainly kept on their toes.
