A great addition to Faversham, Cafe Guild serves great food. We have had breakfast, light lunch and cakes. Eggs Benedict is always a favourite and the staff are refreshingly welcoming so will definitely be coming back. 👍

Lovely little cafe with fun 50s music playing at just the right level so we could still talk easily. We had hot salt beef and dill pickle sandwiches served with crisps and salad, they were delicious! My husband had a cappuccino and I had a pot of tea and proper china cup and saucer. This place is fabulous and we'll be back for cake next time we're in the area!

Yesterday, my husband and I had lunch at this cafe for the first time. We were immediately impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They were very welcoming, knowledgeable re their menu and products and nothing appearing to be too much trouble. The quality of the food was very good for the reasonable price. The cafe being very clean, light and airy with pleasant, but not too loud, background music. Unfortunately we don't live in this part of the country otherwise we would be regular customers. One of the owners, who introduced herself as Hazel, to ensure the food etc was all we wanted it to be, was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this cafe and would highly rate it.

Nice bright and clean ambiance. Pretty inside. Friendly table service. Lots of choices including pancakes and French toast!!! We only came in for coffee and of course we needed to have the apple pie and nata! Had a nice relaxed coffee after exploring the area. Apple pie to take away and one of the slices barely made it to the car! Will definitely come back again to try the other stuff in the menu!

A lovely little cafe in the heart of Faversham. The staff and owners are alway so welcoming and attentive. Fantastic Gluten Free range which is rare to find with an independently run establishment. Our son is partial to a ham sandwich and enjoys the generous filling of freshly cut ham. So pleased this is on our doorstep.

The Refinery
122 West St, Faversham ME13 7JE, UK | Coffee Shop P: Not available
Rating: 4.4 (131) Price Level:
One of my favorite coffee shops in Faversham. The staff are very friendly (also dog friendly!). Good baked goods and cozy atmosphere. You can sit out on the patio if the weather is nice or grab a small table upstairs or downstairs.
Rating: 4 / 5
Good coffee shop. It's on a pedestrian precinct, so you can sit outside without traffic. The staff were friendly.

The refinery is our go to coffee shop in Faversham. For four years we used it as a base for work meetings of all kinds and the staff were always so generous even when we’d taken up shop all day! My husband loves his coffee so finding somewhere that does good coffee is not easy, however he loves the coffee at The Refinery! Their selection of teas and alternative hot and cold drinks are excellent and we never miss an opportunity to pop in grab a chat with the staff while we wait for our coffee! A definite spot to visit.

A great coffee shop and bar, a nice chilled and friendly atmosphere, open later Friday and Saturday. A good selection of real cocktails made to order with top ingredients. A must visit in Faversham.

The Secret Garden Cafe
Standard Quay, Faversham ME13 7BS, UK | Cafe P: 01795 597616
Rating: 4.3 (403) Price Level:
I took an elderly American friend there this morning. The staff made her feel so welcome, she was so pleased at their attentiveness - not overpowering but genuinely interersted in her and her comfort. She can't eat big meals and they were more than happy to split a meal between the two of us. Well done to all the staff but particularly Becky who was on duty at the cash register. Thanks again!

A wonderful little Cafe down by the Quay in Faversham! A beautiful spot in general to visit. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. My wife and I shared a cheese toasty and delicious bit of chocolate fudge cake!

We’re lived in Faversham 4 years and only tried it 6 months ago. Been back many times since. Great food and drinks, normally a good atmosphere. Service is mainly 5 star but had a couple nights where it’s been awful. But mostly it’s a great place to eat

Went for dinner with my wife, we had souvlaki chicken skewers and greek salad, grilled lamb kefta with babaghanouge, Hash brown potato puffs and duck tostados, very very nice, complement to the chef👨🍳, lovely atmosphere, best service by Jake and Louise, very friendly, we enjoyed every moment and bit of food. keep it up.😁👍

I’ve had a lovely few lunches here, most recently with my partner and a friend. The service was exceptionally friendly (Andy was a great host!), the menu was varied and the quality of the food was really good. This is also one of the few places open for food on a Monday.

We were asked to provide casino tables for a Xmas party here . We were placed upstairs in a great space for a private function. Staff were very helpful even though they were absolutely banged out due to the Xmas period. Allowing me to double park and allow easy access for set up and breakdown. Beautiful semi circular bar upstairs, no one had to wait for a drink ( as seen from my vantage point behind the roulette table) and along with the casino tables there was a buffet and room for some fab live entertainment. A great intimate space for what really was a great party.

Amazing burgers, great atmosphere ( no Christmas music which was lovely because you could actually have a conversation without being 'Whammed' by accident. Ella and the bar staff were friendly and efficient, all in all a lovely pub, and the function room upstairs (with it's own bar) is just the right size. Thanks all!

Sun Inn

Rating: 4.4 (1138) Price Level:
We had an excellent lunch at the Sun today. Staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful, especially with managing one diner's food allergies. Between us we had scotch eggs as starters, which were delicious , and for mains we had beetroot tart ( tasty and good pastry) , burger and chips ( excellent burger) and 2 x fish and chips. The chefs were able go do gluten free battered fish and chips, which was really fantastic - light, tasty made with very fresh fish. The pub had a relaxed and welcoming ambience, and dogs are also welcomed. There is a large outdoor patio area for when it finallystops raining. We will definitely be popping in again !
Rating: 4 / 5
Very nice pub in the heart of the town. Good choice of beers with most of the Shepherd Neame choices on offer unlike other Shepherd pubs in the town. Relaxing area by the fire is preferred over the seats near the machine with all the flashing lights (far from relaxing) 😎.

We stayed at The Sun Inn when we got married at The Old Brewery Store at the brewery and could not be happier with the time we spent there. The rooms were lovely and the suite we stayed it and got ready in was absolutely perfect for the morning. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the sun, they couldn't do enough for us on an already busy Saturday. The food was great, really good, breakfast was excellent and the location was superb. I look forward to coming back on our next trip down. Thank you all so much!

This really is a Fabulous spot to go and chill out. A few little unique shops to have a look round, including an excellent Fishmonger or Wet Fish shop (are they the same ?) A really nice Cafe on the back side with a lovely garden, nice treats on offer and Staff that are very busy yet polite and will do anything they can to help. A couple of lovely Bars/restaurants to grab a drink and soak up some sun by the Creek.
Rating: 5 / 5
A pleasant place to while away some time, looking at the various barges and wandering around the bric-a-brac shops. Just walk down to the end of Abbey Street (the medieval cobbled road lined with historic buildings) and it's to the left of the pub (also worth a visit).

Beautiful place, a hidden gem, Brookwood is a great place for bike meets of a weekend. Great community. Dan's Hotdogs are the best. Highly recommend.

Jittermugs Coffee Wine and Tapas Bar
18A Preston St, Faversham ME13 8NZ, UK | Coffee Shop P: 01795 533121
Rating: 4.4 (328) Price Level:
A relaxing coffee house/bistro. The coffee choice was great and the food we had was freshly prepared and tasty (Greek eggs) it's quite a small place and popular with locals. We were warned that there would be a wait for food when ordering due to only one chef but the wait was minimal and the staff were working hard to prevent it being a problem. Would definitely recommend.
Rating: 5 / 5
Perfect breakfast! We tried Greek Eggs, English breakfast and pancakes. Pancakes were super soft, fresh and tasty. Perfect portion for sharing with somebody. My scrambled eggs were a perfect combination with feta cheese. I really recommend for everybody. English breakfast served with sausages and bacon from local farmers. Nice and runny eggs. Staff were very nice, all food was made to requirement. Place is clean and friendly also. I never drink that good coffee in my life (I'm barista). Strong and creamy. Will be back definitely when or if I'm in the area again.

Excellent breakfast, Greek eggs and Eggs Royale served with pink peppercorns. Friendly and efficient service. Followed by very good coffee. If you are in Kent just turn left and go to Faversham. Treat yourself to quality.

The Phoenix Tavern
98-99 Abbey St, Faversham ME13 7BH, UK | Restaurant P: 01795 591462
Rating: 4.3 (498) Price Level:
We celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday at the Phoenix last night and were very glad that we did. Definitely a contender for the best food in Faversham against some strong competition. My Mum raved about the pork with kale which she said was the best she'd had in years. Soup, fish pies and fish and chips were also top quality and thoroughly enjoyed. And the atmosphere, friendly service and overall experience made it a perfect evening and a very happy birthday for my Dad.
Rating: 5 / 5
The staff was very tolerant of our group of noisy ladies enjoying our annual gals weekend. The menu has a great choice to cover all palates and they cater for gluten free also. Really good cocktail menu and wine list. The food was outstanding and the staff were so friendly....we will be back!!
Rating: 5 / 5
We went for lunch on our wedding anniversary, food and service were excellent, pub was quiet at lunchtime, but I feel the service would be the same if busy or not. We were made so welcome and a lovely little touch of a card and an extra dish after our meal. Highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
We celebrated our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary there today. They had put a lovely card and some lavender on the table. ( Nice touch ) The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. The best roast out I have ever had ! Dessert came out on a plate with Happy Anniversary on in chocolate. Little touches meant a lot to us. Highly recommend!
Rating: 5 / 5
The quality of the food was genuinely exceptional. The place deserved to be much busier than it was. We had the beef rump and sea bass - both worthy of a top-notch restaurant. Dark chocolate delice for dessert was beautifully rich and, again, superb. Surprisingly great all round

Havishams Coffee House & Sandwich Bar
47 Court St, Faversham ME13 7AL, UK | Cafe P: 01795 591571
Rating: 4 (238) Price Level:
Lovely little cafe right in the middle of Faversham. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was great, friendly and happy to serve yours truly. When one enters the cafe, one is instantly left with the impression this is a cake and tea kind of establishment. At first look, only a pavement sign (which prompted me to park the bus there) suggested they did salmon and cream cheese bagels (possibly other food too). That and the menu stand at the entrance. I ordered a bagel, espresso and a sparkling water. The bagel was good, but could be better. Coffee was too dark roasted to my taste. Maybe people who like dark roasted coffee would appreciated it more than I did. The sparkling water was a good brand and of the greatest quality. I did not try their cakes. It looks to me they are the reason why most people visit the cafe. Probably next time. Recommended to tea and coffee lovers.

Charming and delightful cafe. Lovely menu. We had very attentive and competent service this morning. Chef cooked us perfect poached eggs. Couldn't be happier. The cakes looked irresistible, but we were too full with our breakfast to try them!

We stayed in the lovely village of Faversham while visiting England from Nashville, TN. Havishams was our favorite restaurant of the trip! The food & coffees were delicious! The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, & home-like. They were very careful & accommodating with our daughter’s life-threatening nut allergies. Everyone was friendly & kind. We felt welcomed like locals. A perfect cafe!

What a delight this little cafe is, the staff are so warm and welcoming with a friendly smile and chitchat, I noticed them sweetly looking after the regulars which was very heart warming. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the veggie breakfasts. An endless array of delicious looking cakes! Highly recommend eating here if you're in Faversham 🫶🏼

Lovely restaurant located near the old town market building in Faversham. I received a warm welcome from the lady owner and straight away it was apparent she was passionate about what she does. On offer in front of your very eyes is a great selection of cakes, scones and other sweets goodies which are all made on site ( see photos ) They offer sandwiches and jacket potatoes with a good range of fillings and toppings. There's an all day breakfast and smaller breakfast options. Unlike many cafes and restaurants chips ARE NOT the order of the day here. I went for that great comfort food option, cottage pie which came with carrots and cabbage and a generous jug of gravy for £8.95 which was very nice indeed. There was also an option of a plate of bubble and squeak which had options of bacon, sausage egg and gammon to accompany it. That's definitely one for another day. To take my wish for comfort food further I had a rhubarb and ginger crumble for dessert which came with lashings of thick custard. Again this was homemade and was full of flavour, mmmm so so good. To drink I had a flat white which was full of flavour, so good I had another. There is seating inside and out and if you wanted to brave it on a chilly day like yesterday, blankets were available. I would imagine it's really nice to sit out in the historic market square, take in the views and watch the world go by. There is a customer toilet. I spoke to the owner for a while before I left and was told there are some new menu items upcoming which sounded very interesting. A very pleasant experience and a place I would happily return to.

We haven't been to this pub restaurant for a very long time as it had a not so good reputation. Well how things have changed. The food was lovely good quality, and value for money. The service was great and efficient and the restaurant was lovely. Big shout out to our waitress Faith she was so lovely, efficient and professional, she was also very funny. She is a credit to your Team. We will definitely visit again very soon.

Myself and 2 friends popped in on the way home from Canterbury. We were greeted by a lovely lady who found us seating in the bar area. We were given menus to browse at our leisure. We ordered from the bar and nothing was too much trouble. Two of us had the best fish and chips we’ve ever had at a restaurant, crispy batter and beautiful chips. Our friend who is vegetarian was well catered for and has a beautiful cheese and potato pie served over mash potato. We were just sorry we didn’t have room left for pudding! The toilets were immaculate and we have already planned to visit again and have recommended the gunpowder mill to our friends. Thank you for an incredible experience!!
