Mixed experience at The Old Brewery. The service was very good, quick and friendly and the coffee was good although the large Americano seemed to be just a single shot with extra water rather than 2 shots (it wasnât very strong). The Brewery breakfast tasted really good for something which came too quickly to have been cooked to order and unfortunately this was evident with the eggs in particular which looked like they had been sitting under heat lamps for a while. Overall the quality of the food was very good just a shame it wasnât cooked to order.

It's a nice clean cafe with a difference. It's full of motorbikes, but this doesn't stop a wide spectrum of people using it, from senior ladies having brunch to bikers all getting on well together, the service and food is great aswell. Fully enjoyed my stop there.

Lovely breakfast and initial service let down sadly when we asked for additional hot drinks to be told by the young man waiter it would take ages to make them so we didnât bother. Been a while since weâve been here and may be a while until we come back again after today sadly.

Lovely breakfast. I'm no food snob but you can tell quality ingredients in a fry-up. My photo might look a bit tomato heavy (yum) but I asked to swap out the mushrooms (yuk) which was no problem. Good service and very friendly staff. Lots of interesting bikes to look at too.

Found by chance when perusing the menu of a more expensive establishment. Inside was too busy for nine of us but in the small yet quaint courtyard we managed to shuffle a few tables together to accommodate our needs. The food was delicious and reasonably priced... the pot of tea was enormous and required a strong arm to lift and pour! The staff were very friendly especially one gentleman in particular who instigated much banter. Would definitely visit again... highly recommended.

We visited Beaminster today for the first time. Nice church with a friendly 'Walk in Wednesday' group. Several interesting shops. We looked at several cafes before going into Dexters on the main street just almost opposite to the square. Only small with about 8 tables but with a French bistro look. Very clean. Friendly staff. They are open for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Several people came in to book tables, so it might be worthwhile to do so on the busier days. We both had 'small breakfasts' with a pot of Clipper tea. It was enough for 2 cups each. The breakfast was piping hot and comprised of toast and butter, hash brown, beans, tomato, fried egg, sausage, mushrooms and bacon. All cooked to perfection and well presented. At only ÂŁ6.50 ea. for the breakfast and ÂŁ2 ea for the tea, we thought this was good value. Well worth a visit!!

Really pleased with the work carried out to install 2 x extractors and a PIV unit. The work was much more involved than first thought, and the poor guy was working in our loft on the hottest day of the year! But he returned a second day to finish up and the original price was honoured. A pleasure having you in our home and feeling the benefits of the extractors and PIV as soon as they were turned on!

Both the men were very polite and efficient. Even though the weather was absolutely dreadful the man doing the cleaning still got up and cleaned the panels. Would recommend this company.

We brought a house with 12 solar panels just over a month ago. We knew the panels were not serviced or cleaned since installed 10 years ago (2013) We reached out to DES Ltd who completed a full service and cleaning service. Not only was the job done to a high standard but the knowledge shared and showing us how the system worked has be valuable. Highly recommend and thank you. Regards Riad

Absolutely amazing lunch today at Parnham Park in Dorset. With a menu full of locally sourced ingredients combined in incredibly simple yet elegant ways, and a cocktail list to match, it is one of those rare places that has you planning your return visit even before the dessert course has arrived. A beautiful restaurant on the grounds of a gorgeous stately home, it is an experience not to be missed. And I haven't even mentioned the service, helpful, thoughtful and attentive staff that are a credit to the establishment, you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive till the time you regretfully leave.

Gorgeous house with abundance of history. I went there for the antiques fair, on the last day so there was barely any thing left, but as we went to walk around, it was just stunning. The nature, the bathroom was oddly amazing (old paintings, a globe, antique furniture etc), the views, and most of all Parnham House, we got to see all sides of the manor, and every side was beautiful. I knew a lot of its history but to be there was something special, after all it was attacked by fire during 2017, but the walls that stood the test of time were nice same with the front of the house. The front of the house was the main thing that drove me to go there, itâs truly, truly gorgeous place, too see it on the screen and to see it in real life was once in a lifetime experience, I would recommend it for any history enthusiasts or a simple trip with companions. Got to meet the owner, James Perkins, big burly bloke who was very kind, offered to answer any questions but sadly we had to leave because I went to see the Robison memorial in the main town, one of the owners, Vincent Joseph Robison, erected it for his wife, Elizabeth Julian Robison. I went to see the church but an interruption that hindered me from going to see the strode memorial, owners that held that house for hundreds of years. Overall lovely day, canât comment on the food because I didnât eat, but the rest was just show stopping, so worth it for prior mentioned history enthusiasts or just a nice day out. Review from a real Parnham.

A job well done. We are very happy to recommend Joe Newton Ltd. for plumbing and electrical work, especially as they did a very clean job, with no mess to clear up.
Rating: 5 / 5
We've been super-happy with Joe and his colleagues. Highly recommended. We discoevered Joe through a previous small job at our colttage where they were sub-contracted by our builder. This week, they replaced a whole lot of ageing night-storage heaters with modern, programmable radiators at our rather old and crumbly cottage in Dorset. Joe gave great advice, answering every email really quickly. We were away when they did the job over a couple of days. We returned to find everything completed absolutely perfectly. The cabling from our meter was rewired as needed. Everything just right. New radiators installed, firmly fixed to our walls of various weird and historic materials. Other than the radiators being installed, we wouldn't have known they'd been here! The heavy old contraptions full of grime and bricks had been dismantled and taken away without any fuss, or dust. Through no fault of theirs, one of the new radiators had a little fault. They responded instantly and had sourced and installed a new one within 24 hours. Unbelievable! Everything friendly, cheerful, efficient, responsive and charged exactly the price agreed in advance. We are very happy (and warm!) bunnies indeed. Thank you Joe and Mark! All the best, Jon (Dorset DT2)

I have been considering creating an en suite shower room and effecting some external works at my property but was somewhat daunted by managing a project. Joe Newton Electrical, Plumbing and Heating Services and James Newsam Construction were recommended by neighbours. Joe and James, who often work in collaboration, came to assess what was required and quote a week after contact. Options were discussed, sensible advice given and a detailed quote and anticipated start date followed shortly thereafter. The Project commenced on the agreed start date with a team of professional, pleasant, experienced, local trades arriving one after the other! all were well-briefed, hard working and consulted me in relation to any decisions (style of doors, placement of switches etc) as necessary. The ethos and importance of "Customer Satisfaction" was obvious throughout. Any queries I had were responded to by Joe or James, usually within the hour. Joe managed the sequence of events entirely for all the electrical and plumbing work, which was completed to a very high standard. I am delighted with my new En Suite Shower Room, it is spacious, practical and stylish and will doubtless add value to my property. I have no hesitation in recommending Joe Newton Electrical, Plumbing and Heating, who I will definitely use again. PS the final Invoice was exactly as quote and I literally could not fault any part of the service I received.

An absolutely outstanding service from Chris and his two electricians. They worked on our house when we were away completing the tasks in the time that was arranged. How they managed to run wires/cables on coving and behind skirting boards was a marvel. They put all the furniture back in its place and left us with no mess to tidy up. We were expecting to have to plaster and decorate however this was not necessary. The two electricians who carried out the job even looked after our cat in our absence. Very highly recommended. Mike.

Really pleased with the work that RN Stephenson has done for us including board checks, new outdoor lights and sockets, new light fittings inside and a callout when our fusebox went one evening. Rob and his team are extremely professional and trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any work. Already got my name on the list for solar panels! Thanks Rob.

Rob has done a number of awkward works for us over the last year. He's a great communicator, and went above and beyond to create solutions for some tricky issues with our G2 listed property, which others couldn't figure out. He's always on time, cleans up at end of day, professional, and checks with us if he's found a better, or better value, alternative for the work we had in mind. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Absolutely fantastic company. The epitome of professionalism. Work is carried out safely and to a extremely high standard. Rob and his team are friendly, polite and tidy. Great service. Would highly recommend for all electrical requirements.

Lovely electricians, managed to squeeze me in last minute after I was let down by another local company. I needed the lights and the extractor fan in my new teeny downstairs toilet to be connected before building regs could be signed off, and it was done the very next day with no fuss. They also added new sockets to my utility room as I couldn't use the washing machine and dishwasher at the same time with the old ones that were already in place, as the lights all tripped. The guys were clean and tidied up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again when the next stage of renovations start. Thanks

Starts Electrical have gone above and beyond with my new solar panel installation. They were professional, tidy and the price was fair! I wouldnât hesitate to use them again. Russell the business owner made me feel at ease from start to finish and was always available to discuss any questions I had!
Rating: 5 / 5
Just had 21 panels (split between east and west of my roof) and a large battery fitted by Russell and his team. The plan being to maximise the amount of solar I generate and combine this with a heat pump (being fitted soon by a separate national installer). I got quotes from a number of solar installers before opting for Starks electrical. Whilst their quote was competitive the thing which stood out most with this company was their knowledge and experience in fitting solar and I liked that they were a local company. I was able to make tweaks to my proposed system and get lots of free advice from Russellâs team so by the time the install went ahead I was really confident about my purchase. There was absolutely no âhard sellâ and I was given options for various systems at different price points which was great. The installation was very smooth. The team who did the install were great - worked really hard, were polite courteous and really nice guys who had years (decades!) of experience in solar installs. The system is now working great - even in October! I highly recommend this company.
Rating: 5 / 5
Great service from Russell and his team. Everything was completed very neatly and within the timescale I was given. The electrician then came back separately to assist with my setting up the app so I can monitor as necessary. My electricity usage is now an average of 3p per day.
Rating: 5 / 5
From first contact with Russell and his team at Starks service has been first class. The whole process from survey to fitting and commissioning was completely seamless. Russell fully explained the whole process, the fitters were polite and respectful, communication throughput was excellent. Price was very competitive. Highly recommended.
