Heard good things about the course, even though its nearly 2 hour journey for us. Played today, decent weather, and I've got today it blew me away, absolutely loved the place. We'll kept, great greens, and friendly welcome. The members are really helpful too 10/10 I'll be back!!!

Stunning course with breath taking views. Very friendly members and well kept greens. Really loved playing and had a great beer in the clubhouse afterwards. It's a challenging course but before all the bracken starts growing its actually quite forgiving.

Absolute gem of a course. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere on arrival (we ordered some breakfast before heading out and the super helpful chap behind the bar let us know that we could head out a bit earlier if we wanted rather than wait for our allocated tee time) Course was in great shape, the greens were beautiful and a credit to the grounds staff. The holes were varied and made you think about where you needed to play to make life easier for yourself (we are mid teen handicap). Loved the sheep roaming around the course and of course the views, the views are magnificent. Can’t wait to come back and play again. Easily one of my favourites - would give it 6 stars if I could

Smash Factor GC have recently upgraded to a Trackman IO, it’s brilliant! Was already a great experience, but now it’s even better! So many stats to track, brilliant courses to play - we played Pinehurst No. 2 today, US Open 2024 course is real difficult. Will be back soon to beat our scores.

Visited whilst on business in the area. I would recommend this facility for anyone who wants to practice, work on their game or just have some fun with friends. It’s a great alternative to a driving range and the latest Trackman IO will provide data as well as the ability to play on some of the words best courses. James the owner was very helpful and friendly throughout my visit. I will certainly be back again next time I am in the area. Only 30mins from central Bath too so well located!

This is a really fun option for some indoor golf, especially on a wet day. Although the scope for quality practice makes it a proper alternative to a standard driving range in any weather. The hitting mat and balls are excellent whilst you also get a informative set of data for each and every shot. There's an app which allows you to build up a record of how you're playing too. This technology is designed and used by pros but it's very helpful for golfers of any standard. It's perfect for focused practice on specific areas of your game as well as allowing you access to endless world famous virtual courses for all formats of golf. I went with three other mates and we're all grateful to the owner James who looked after us really well, explaining how it all works and giving clear demos. Hot drinks, beers, soft drinks and snacks are also all available. Many thanks!

Breathtaking course in incredible condition. We played in September 2024 and was certainly the highlights of our golfing year. An absolute gem of a golf course nestled in the middle of Poole. Can't wait to return.

Amazing course, in fantastic condition. Lucky enough to be invited as a guest to Parkstone. What a day. The course is a good length, a mix of parkland and heathland with a woodland section as well. Very varied, which makes it even more fun. Greens were fast and also true. Fairways in great condition. Tee boxes are good and flat, I've putted on worse condition green's. I would recommend you take the opportunity to play here if it presents itself.

Played Parkstone yesterday after some of the worst rain I've seen, i couldn't believe the condition the course was in, it was immaculate! The course layout is by far the best I've played with each hole offering something different and lot to think about. The views from the golf course are just simply stunning! The marshal Nick had fantastic knowledge of the course which really helped when navigating the course. All staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much bother. Cant wait to come back and would highly recommend this course to anyone!

Played an inter-club match on 9 May. Course was in outstanding condition. Having been battered by torrents of rain, gales of wind & seemingly endless gloom, it was as if the land itself was rejoicing in the sunshine. Greens were in first class cibdition, if a little slow. Could not fault the fairways, bunkers or rough. Meal afterwards was excellent. Altogether, a very good day.

First time playing the course. As I am playing Porthcawl soon I wanted to practice at a links-style course. This was just the ticket. Several demanding holes, tricky approach shots & almost guaranteed wind. The place is very friendly and the course is in an excellent condition. The twilight offer makes it brilliant value - just remember that it is pay and play, rather than booking online. Will definitely play again!

Very well laid out course with exceptional views. Considering it's on the top of a hill the holes go round rather than up and down except one heart attack hole - 10th?. Greens were superb - relatively small and undulating. The course's main defence is the wind and you really have to be able to play it to score well. £25 for a twilight round after 3pm is a bargain. Definitely go and play it.

A very friendly welcome from the pro shop on arrival with a good hearty breakfast in the clubhouse with a warm welcome. Weather conditions were overcast with a good downpour after 15 holes, but this did not stop us having a good days golf ⛳️. The course was heavy under foot from the previous day’s ☔️ rain but the fairways were nice to play off if played clean off the preferred lies, as for the greens they are very fast for November and very true. All in all a good away day worth a trip 👍

A good friend and I travelled to play an open competition at Sherborne recently. Not only was the course in good condition, but the staff made us feel very welcome and appreciated. Even the captain made time to introduce himself and make us feel at home. This course will ask questions of anyones game, regardless of ability. If you’re thinking about visiting, then book yourself in, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all concerned.

Such a lovely golf club, came here to practice our swing (not very experienced golfers). The range is beautiful and you can hit off real grass, a useful experience when you're a beginner. The putting/pitching course is amazing. Visited the gold shop to look around and the service was really friendly, didn't feel out of place. Wish I was good enough to go out on the green, must be amazing.

Some very difficult holes especially with the conditions I would definitely recommend having a round of golf here. The staff and members were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely will be back for another round soon, hopefully without the sad weather.

Lovely 9 holes of golf. Easy to book via website we were advised pro shop would be shut that day and to check in at clubhouse. Warm welcome on arrival and purchased range tokens and rental trollies. Other players/members chatty and welcoming, and nice round. Uncle hadn’t played for about 10 years so nice course for him to get his swing back. Wasn’t rushed about on the course. nice course and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful round of golf at a fair price.

Mike Dodd and all the junior coaches are fantastic. So welcoming and friendly. My son really enjoys going. They have a workbook with targets to aim for. It helps with focus and strives them to always move forward. It's a beautiful 9-hole course tucked away in Sturminster Marshall. It's definitely worth a visit for a coffee in the club house and chat with Mike.

What a little gem of a golf course! We visited on a lovely day and I had a lesson with Charlie, who was an excellent teacher, and made me feel at ease. The course has a family atmosphere to it, not intimidating like other places. The little cafe has a beautiful setting and a nice selection of dishes. Shame you're an hour away from is, hopefully we can visit soon!

Tricky little golf course, plays 18, designed around a 9 hole. No par 5's but lots of par 4's (and long ones). T Boxes were difficult to get T pegs into the ground. Lovely and flat course. Such a pretty course to play. Very enjoyable. This was the first time in 20 years of my golfing experiences (and I have played many courses)...that I have ever seen steps into a bunker !! Luckily I didn't have to use them 🙃

Specifically a review on the coaching and Pro Shop. Had lessons with Bailey Birch since the beginning of this year. Couldn’t have imagined such a big change in my swing and my enjoyment of the game since having lessons with him. Lessons in particular are very good. Lots of important information and always a positive outcome with a specific working point to work on inbetween lessons. This always led to a visible solid improvement without overloading me on too many issues with my swing at once. Couldn’t recommend him enough if considering lessons whether it’s a playing lesson, range session or in the simulator.

Lovely course, well prices, friendly staff and members. When taking all into account I am giving this 5 stars. The course itself is good quality with a proper length to the par 4 and 5 holes. Greens are immaculate and quick. It's not quite a championship course but given it's £13 for a twilight round if you prebook on the website it's great value. Even peak time rounds come in at under £30. The clubhouse is nice. Good selection of drinks and a nice area to sit a chill after a round. There is an outside patio nearly completed right by the 18th green which will be superb on a warm day/evening. Staff and members are very friendly and helpful. I will play here time and time again.

Teriffic round at Crane Valley GC. Played like a donkey, but that wasn't down to the course, which wasn't long, but was technical in places. Hit some good shots, but also some shockers, think I should have left the putter in the car too ! Enjoyable course, even in the drizzle !

We have had our annual group members (for 80 members, though we could easily fill more places) afternoon cream tea at Crane Valley for the past 3 years. Every year they provide the same superb food and service. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, the facilities are top notch with the 80 place function room with bar and lounge area with views over the scenic golf course down to the lake. Highly recommended.
