Paul has done work for me over the past 16 years on various projects. Always spot on with great attention to detail. Paul has just finished my shop fitting in the designated 2 week closure. He worked tirelessly, evenings and weekends to ensure everything was done on time. He project managed all of the other tradesmen and gave some ingenious ideas. I needed a wall-mounted storage unit making for a small bedroom. It had to be fitted up to the ceiling. I sketched out a rough design and discussed it with Gordon. Within 24 hours he had worked out materials, when he could make and fit the unit. The price was fair. From design to fitted within a working week. Well pleased.

I needed wooden guttering replacing and had really struggled to find someone. Wedgewood joinery have been able to provide me with exactly what I needed and provided advice in regards to future maintenance. Excellent service.

Contacted Charlie regarding to fitted wardrobes. I sent him some pictures from Pinterest regarding what I was looking for. Charlie came round the following week and 3 weeks later I have 2 very beautiful bespoke, made to measure wardrobes. Charlie's works is excellent, he was punctual and tidy. He also fitted in a few little other jobs for us whilst here. We would highly recommend Charlie to anyone looking for Carpenter.

Lee was absolutely outstanding from start to finish! He helped me a lot with working out measurements for all the doors, and answered several rounds of questions when I was putting in the order for them. He was also fantastic during the fitting when the doors arrived - so friendly and helpful. He also identified that the door handles we'd ordered were all damaged, helped us when we were selecting a different style and was so flexible when we needed to wait a day to figure everything out. Once the doors were fitted, he also did a great job of re-adjusting a few that had settled a bit and weren't quite latching - they're now great! Lee and his Grandad also did a fantastic job of fitting our new front door too, and went above and beyond to make sure it was just right, including sourcing and fitting some additional trim for the outside so it looked perfect. Would recommend Lee for any joinery jobs you need doing, and will hopefully be working with him again soon for some other jobs we've got around the house!

I took Lee's advice when he recommended I didn't need to replace my old draughty Victorian wooden front door with a brand new one.Instead he suggested he could weatherproof it, thereby saving me the cost of a new door and enabling me to keep the characterful door I loved.I'm so glad I was given this option. Lee fitted a picture rail and made + installed 4 floating shelves in our living room. Lee was quality from the off, efficient and very reasonably priced. Great quality of work and was always happy to answer/help with any questions or queries. Would definitely recommend!

This is the second job Lee has done for us and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We wanted a bespoke garden room adding on to the back of the house, it was a tricky build due to the age of our house and we wanted to keep an existing outbuilding in situ. Lee was amazing throughout the whole process from the initial design to the finished build, nothing was too much trouble and his personal touch really meant the world to us. The craftsmanship is spot on and such a reasonable price, our room was worth every penny and more, he also made us a brand new garden gate to match!!! Lee is reliable, friendly and left the house and garden spotless after each visit. He's always happy to help with any questions you might have and we'll definitely be using him again in the future 🌟

We saw examples of Byatt’s Builders work on social media and decided to engage the services of Byatt’s Builders for our kitchen knock-through and conversion. Thankfully, we made the right choice. From the planning stage we were impressed with the professionalism, experience, insight, and valuable advice from both Julian and Ben. Even though we were apprehensive about the project (dust, noise, inconvenience to our daily lives), we were reassured by Julian that they would ensure that there would be very little to be concerned about – and how right he was. Every one of the Byatt workforce were exceptional tradesmen, very polite, respectful of our home, and most professional. After each day the tradesmen would ensure that there was no rubble or dust on site. One aspect that truly impressed me was how Julian accommodated other trades (flooring, decorators), and readily re-arranged his workforce to allow the other trades to complete their work. Jo and I had very high expectations about the outcome of the project, and Byatt’s Builders far exceeded our expectations. We now have the kitchen of our dreams, and it was accomplished with very little inconvenience or delay. JMA Joinery provided a replacement kitchen floor for my chalet on Humberston Fitties. The service was professional and efficient from first to last. A detailed quotation for the work was provided, and this was adhered to. (Indeed, JMA even repaired some faulty plumbing in my kitchen, free of charge.) The work, when completed, was precisely what I required, and the company removed all debris and waste from the site. A further bonus of Jay, Sam and their colleagues is that they respond quickly to messages, so that clients can keep themselves informed of progress. In sum, this highly competent local firm is strongly recommended. In addition to joinery, they also have plumbing and electrical expertise, avoiding the need to bring in other tradesmen for larger-scale jobs. Well done, JMA.

After having a new carpet fitted I needed a couple of inches to be taken off the door. I contacted JMA and they fitted us in between jobs. Very quick response and very efficient. The 2 guys that came where very professional and friendly. On talking to them I realised they do everything from joinery to building extensions and fitting kitchens.
