Steve and his Team undertook an extension build for us. The were accurate in their quote - no quibbles are changes throughout the build - the timeline was pretty much spot on, a brief delay due to adverse weather but the team worked hard to get back oj schedule. We had no instances of failure to attend and Steve was always at the end of the phone whenever needed. The team worked well with neighbours to ensure that whenever there was noisy parts of the build there was no difficulties. Fortunately we had understanding neighbours but im certain any issues would have been worked through. We have now been living in the completed works for several months (I wanted to ensure there were no snags after the build finished before posting a review) and everything is excellent. All finished to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Steve and his team for any building projects!!!

Steve and his team completed a two storey extension for us in 2022. It is hard to convey how pleased we are with the planning, communication, process, quality and finish of his work. On top of this, he managed the budget extremely well at a time when prices were changing regularly. Worth every penny. Thoroughly recommended.

Steve Hicks and team put in a new ensuite bathroom, divided a large bedroom into two and put in a new kitchen, which included remodelling the walls and removal of a chimney breast. All electrical and plumbing works also carried out. Everything is finished to a high standard and they were happy to add in extra tasks like boxing in my meter boxes and putting in wall mounted shelving in new understair cupboard and bedrooms. Steve's team were always polite and friendly and made minimal mess. My house feels much more like home now!

We’ve had Hicks and Sons work on two of our properties and many of our friend’s homes when we recommended the firm. They are the only builder we use. George Hicks and Sons simply do a brilliant job. You get quality and friendly service and always know exactly how the project is unfolding because Steve plans out the work and keeps you fully in the loop. When Hicks and Sons did a loft conversion for us with a tricky bit of plumbing through a second roof the building inspector said to us “only Hicks could pull that off to that high standard, you get real craftsmanship with him.” Says it all!

Steve Hicks and his team did a huge job for us removing a supporting wall and replacing the necessary structural support with steels. They installed stunning bi-fold doors that we ordered and did all the plaster work and tiling etc. The job was very professional and every care was taken to keep things safe and top quality. We liked working with Steve and would choose him to do other projects in our house in the future. Not the cheapest builders, but perhaps the best around! You don't want to cut corners when dealing with such an important investment. Would highly recommend.
