After a big walk and trying all the pubs in the local area, we finally found a space for Sunday lunch! The manager was really helpful and went out of his way to help squeeze us in. They were warm, friendly and busy! :) food was yummy! Hugely generous portions, decent selection of beers!
Left a 5 star review a couple of years ago for excellent food, drink and play area. Thought I would update!
The wonderful play area is now sadly gone, but I understand why. Just a big shame as there's no other pubs near Mossley with a play area now and it was a great play area.
The food and drink is still excellent quality, on the pricier side of pub food but the quality of the food and service speaks for itself.
We had our wedding reception here in August and it was absolutely fantastic. The function room upstairs is bright, clean and has everything you need for a party (table dressings and chair sashes, speaker system, lights, dance floor, private bar and toilets, etc). Very well priced also, and the catering was fantastic.
The manager and his colleague Dean made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable for us. Dean especially really went out of his way to make sure that we had a good, stress-free day! Such a likeable and friendly lad.
Thank you so much to you all! We have (and definitely will) be back time and time again 💕
Popped in today for food and drink. Excellent food and service again. Steak fajitas superb and the half roast chicken superb too. Pudding excellent. And the Manchester Pale Ale is always good. We'll be back again soon
First time here, I had the spicy chicken with flatbread and it was gorgeous. The manager actually sent my first one back to the kitchen as he wasn't happy with the way it looked so asked the chef to do it again. Now that's customer service for you 👍👍
