Love this old pub, very friendly, good atmosphere, with a real fire in winter.
The King & Queen in Caterham is an absolute riot! From the moment I walked in, I felt like royalty. The staff treated me like a king (or queen!), and the atmosphere was buzzing with good vibes. I ordered a pint, and it was so good I almost considered proposing to it. The decor is quirky and charming, with enough character to make even the grumpiest of patrons crack a smile. If you’re looking for a place to have a laugh and enjoy a top-notch pint, this is it. Long live The King & Queen!
I love this pub, it’s everything I want a pub to be. It’s a Fullers pub so has decent beer and often with one or two guest beers. It dates back to the mid-1800s and is staffed by people who understand beer and bars. Some live music on the weekends but there is a full itinerary of events listed in the bar itself. Always a warm welcome with a variety of seating areas and a small free carpark at the back.
My only criticism is a lack of pork scratchings but that won’t hurt my waistline or stop me going!
Best pub in Caterham, lovely owners also being dog friendly!
Nice old pub. Friendly service. Good drinks. Ok prices. Tables are not sticky. Quiet.
